    Lobster roll

I tried rebel lobster while visiting the Hopkins food truck festival. Never heard of them before but I am glad I stopped by to try their lobster roll. Sure it may be a bit expensive but I think it every second was worth the price tag, from the start when they took my order to the very end when I took my last bite. If you get a chance to try, do it.

I chase rebel lobster truck down and got myself a rebel roll. Good amount of lobster with good flavor, not overpowering and not under flavor. The role was perfect and buttery., a good combination with the lobster meat. Their friendly and service was quick, especially on the food truck. Track site area where it's park is neatly organized, and spacious for food follower together around. So far it's my favorite lobster roll out of the mini places that I have eaten.

If you ever see Rebel Lobster's food truck around the Twin Cities or in the outskirts, pull over and get a lobster roll. You are in for pure lobster roll heaven. I could end my review here. Otherwise, read some more. In late November 2021, I developed a love for watching The Jason Show while in Eagan. It's on weekdays at 10 am. Being away from the Twin Cities, I now stream it on YouTube through its channel. I love everything about the show, especially the food recommendations. I found out about a Facebook group called Fair Food Finder through this show. It lists every single food truck at upcoming events. When I was recently in the Twin Cities, I took a look and found out that there were four food trucks at Fleet Farm in Brooklyn Park. What motivated me to go? Getting a lobster roll at Rebel Lobster. The drive was straightforward. I found the food trucks on one side of Fleet Farm's large parking lot, by the tire service entrance. I parked steps away from the four food trucks and walked over. This place does two styles of lobster rolls: - Maine - lobster meat is cooked and then chilled - Connecticut - lobster meat is cooked and is warm I'm a Maine lobster roll gal. I had the option between the regular lobster roll and the rebel roll. You want to go with the latter, which comes with a side of clarified butter and lemon. Both get you the same lobster roll with a side of kettle chips. I had a super nice young man take my order. I paid with a debit card. I finally have a debit card from Think Bank and exercised it generously during my most recent trip, but it was my first time using it here. I tipped and the transaction was seamless. It was windy. I was wearing my Minnesota Wild hoodie, so the hood part kept me warm with my puffy-ish jacket. I waited patiently. He called my name and handed me my food in a paper tray with sides. I thanked him and carefully walked over to my rental car without seeing my food fly away. I took a bite of my Maine-style lobster roll. OMG. It may be my favourite lobster roll of all time. The lobster chunks were gigantic and whole. It had mayo binding everything together, but it wasn't overly done. It was perfect. The roll was generous, buttered, and grilled so nicely. I squeezed the lemon over it and drizzled the clarified butter over my roll before taking each bite. The clarified butter sends this already perfect lobster roll into orbit. One word: excellent! Clarified butter is life. I am still dreaming about this lobster roll. I just had one on the weekend from Buster's Sea Cove. It was yummy, but Rebel Lobster has set the bar so high that I hope that I can get another lobster roll when I return to the Twin Cities. Happiness is this lobster roll with clarified butter. Oh, the chips! The lobster roll was so huge that I couldn't down the chips. Instead, after seeing the Minnesota Wild win, I drove back to the hotel and chilled in front of the TV snacking on the Dutch Crunch kettle chips. They were delicious. They were crunchy and not oily. They had the perfect amount of salt on each chip. It was nice having Old Dutch chips again. I had a lot of Old Dutch in Winnipeg and it extended down to my stay in Rochester, MN. Perhaps it's more of a midwestern thing. Shortest summary: When you see the Rebel Lobster truck, go get the Rebel special. You won't be disappointed. Like Nike, do it. You're welcome. =) (119)

For the last 2 years my mom has asked to visit the Rebel Lobster truck on Mother's Day - and who am I to say no! Each time the truck was parked in the lot of Luce Line Brewing Co in Plymouth, where we could sit either on their patio or in the spacious interior. They also partner with the Original Hockey Mom Brownie truck for the best lunch and desert combo we could ask for! We ordered Connecticut Rolls, which are served warm with butter and truly filled to the brim with lobster! It's a special treat that we can't wait to try again next year!

Yay for food trucks! They were in Eden Prairie today which was just too close to home to pass up. This is the 2nd time I've had their delicious roll and it was just as good as the first! I got the Connecticut roll which is simply a perfectly toasted golden roll with buttered lobster claw meat inside. $21. The roll is perfectly toasted and moist and the meat is super tender and flavorful. The line was not long to order, but it did take a while to come out. Thankfully I had a friend with to keep me company. My only complaint is that they don't offer any fries or tater tots or something. The roll comes with a bag of chips, but I'd rather something more hearty!

Simple, good, expensive, extravagant - four stars! I've never had a $21 sandwich before. But I ate one at the Rebel Lobster food truck. I'm not a big lobster fan, but I have to admit it was pretty darn good. The menu is very simple. There are 3 types of real lobster meat sandwiches on offer. There's also a cheaper ham & cheese sandwich for the kiddos. My only minor bitch is the cheapo one (1) ounce bag of chips you get with the sandwich. If they're going to sell a pricey premium sandwich, they should at least sell the 2.6 ounce bags like the ones you get out of a vending machine. I didn't notice at first. But my friend owns a huge vending machine business and he picked up on the wimpy bags right away. I noticed that the staff didn't have masks or gloves. I really don't give a crap myself. But some people seem to really have a problem with it. So I decided to mention it for those of you that have concerns about these matters. If you like lobster, you should give them a try. Other than the chips thing (a minor point) - thumbs up! -Daddy Maxx Retro

No words to explain. Just lip-smacking good! Love it when the lobster truck is closer to home. One of the best lobster rolls I've had by far. There's a good amount of big, juicy lobster pieces in each sandwich. Definitely give it a try.

We have experienced Rebel Lobster for the 2nd time and it is good. There is always a long line of folks waiting to get their order. It takes about 15-20 to get the food from the time we order. You can get your lobster warm or chilled or a Rebel roll which is the best of both. As my husband says,"you damn near get a whole lobster in your roll!" I do think there is a serious amount of lobster, they don't skimp. And if you are still hungry they throw in a bag of Old Dutch kettle chips. As my grandmother would say, if you leave hungry it's your fault. So, if you are a lobster roll fan, give it a try!

    Lobster Pizza!!

For the most fresh lobster in the midwest you must stop at the Rebel Lobster Food Truck!! Perfectly toasted rolls piled to the sky with big chunks of lobster meat! We also recently tried one of their take and bake lobster pizzas and were completely blown away by the flavor! Always very friendly and professional staff! Way to go! Customers for life!

This location is blocks away from my job as well as close to home. I recently looked over the menu and found that they offered quite a few non seafood options that sounded good enough for me. The menu at this location is a bit different than the others. They have some daily specials, HH and even some seasonal dishes. I went with the Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich and my mom got the Crispy Lemon Chicken. The sandwich was good, wasn't as spicy as I hoped it would be but still good. I upgraded chips to cajun fries and those were good. The Crispy Lemon chicken was okay to me, my mom enjoyed it but didn't like the mashed potatoes it came with. She said they were too lumpy. We also shared a crab cake - still too fishy for me lol, but my mom liked it. I got a raspberry lemon drop martini and it was a bit watered down tasting but I'd definitely go back and try some other options. Our server was really nice and attentive. Made the experience overall great. Generally a nice space/atmosphere.
