Always incredible service! The best place in South Austin for all waxing and skincare needs!…read more Clean inviting studio and I have never had a bad service by any of the estheticians.

Literally hundreds of dollars spent there for over a decade, and I was blown off today. Because I had the audacity to try to call them, not once, but THREE different times, and they never answered the phone. Desperately trying to let them know that I was running 4 minutes late. Four. They refused to go beyond a five minute grace period. When this place changed to one location, off William Cannon, I was not the only one impacted. There were many of us who were loyal to the 47th St. location, but who kept coming down south, even though it's over a 40 minute drive, because we like the brand. It's this sort of customer loyalty that businesses should be grateful for! Instead? I got no phone call, no follow up email, no attempt to touch base with me to try to work this out, and come to a better understanding. Nothing. So thank you for using me for my money! Way to go. It's not about the money. It's not about not being allowed to be four minutes late. It's about being blown off, when local businesses tout building relationships" with clients. My going there for 12 years, was that not proving that I was loyal? Fuck You, Waxing Studio. Those of you who want to go there still, that's on you. Beware of being blown off, and treated like you are a cog in the machine, just like anybody else. It's that sort of corporate BS I was hoping to avoid in the first place. Period.

The staff are always friendly and never make it feel awkward that I'm just shopping instead of booking an appointment. It's convenient, consistent, and I've come to really trust the products I get here. Nice to have a spot where I can stock up without any fuss.

I'm relatively new to European Wax Center and have been a customer for about 3-4 sessions…read more During one of my recent visits, I came in seven days before my originally scheduled appointment and informed the receptionist that I needed to cancel the upcoming appointment. However, a week later, I noticed a $37.50 no-call, no-show fee on my account. I thought this was strange, considering I had requested the cancellation in person, but I didn't think too much of it. I assumed it would be an easy issue to resolve during my next visit once I explained the situation. Unfortunately, I received far more pushback than I anticipated. The receptionist questioned my concerns in what I felt was a condescending manner. She repeatedly stated, "I don't see any notes," which was frustrating because the entire reason I was bringing this to her attention was that the previous receptionist had apparently failed to cancel my appointment. Of course there wouldn't be any notes if the cancellation was never properly processed. That was literally the issue I was trying to resolve. I then asked whether she could see that I had come in for a service seven days before my originally scheduled appointment. My point was that I had already received the service and had requested to cancel the upcoming appointment for that reason. Her response was, "People do come in that frequently." As someone who has been getting waxed for 16 years, that's not true. Seven days is not enough time for sufficient regrowth, a respectable center wouldn't allow waxing so frequent. I have been told that I didn't have enough hair for a wax service and was turned away before. She then informed me that because the charge occurred a month ago, I would not be eligible for a refund. I asked whether the amount could instead be credited toward my next appointment, and she stated that she would need to speak with the manager. I believe my request was entirely reasonable, especially considering the charge resulted from what appears to have been an administrative oversight. What bothered me most wasn't even the $37.50 fee, but rather the way my concerns were handled. I felt as though I was being questioned and treated like I was attempting to take advantage of the business instead of being treated as a customer bringing a legitimate issue to their attention. At this point, European Wax Center can keep the $37.50, and I will gladly take my business elsewhere. I initially chose this location because it was convenient and close to my home. However, convenience is not worth dealing with dismissive customer service, unnecessary pushback, or passive-aggressive interactions. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was simply asking for a reasonable resolution to an issue that should have been handled correctly in the first place.

This girl knows her stuff. First off, Elizabeth has a degree from UT in biological sciences AND…read moreattended the Aveda Institute AND is a graduate of the prestigious Lauterstein-Conway Massage School here in Austin. Hell yes. I went to Elizabeth about once a month over the course of six months for a series of facials before I got married. In each session, she asked me how my skin had been acting, what kinds of activities I had been engaging in (good and bad, i.e., smoking), and created a personalized session for that appointment. She also educated me about the crappy face supplies that I had been using (without making me feel stupid) and got me started on an organic, gentle line of skin care that has done wonders for me. My face literally was glowing after every session. She is also EXCELLENT at waxing; my eyebrows look awesome. OH! And at about 5' 2", she totally adorable and not intimidating at all.

Orange blossom has a new fan!…read more I had a Spa Finder gift certificate I was eager to take advantage of, and OB popped up in my search and had stellar reviews. Yelpers have never done me wrong, so I called to book right away. My call was returned promptly and we discussed my wants/needs/options. I have never received a facial before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Orange Blossom does custom facials so Elizabeth said to come on in and we'd decide what was best. The location is in a little office park, but feels like a little old house inside. there are a couple of rooms and it is very peaceful. Elizabeth is as cute as a button, was very friendly, and instantly put me at ease. Once I wrapped up in a velvetly robe and tucked myself into the softest bed/table ever, she got to work. She decided on a deep cleanse, but did all sorts of stuff. We spoke briefly about my skin care routine and other than answer any questions I had (she was very patient, I had many, and was pretty nosy about the whole expereince), it was very relaxing. Whatever she did with paprika felt amazing, and I liked the mud mask and the facial massage. Ok, so I liked it all! I'd asked about a specific product and she introduced me to it at the end fo the session. It wasn't sale-sy at all (in fact, i'm wondering if or how she sells any product if the customer doesn't take the initative) and I got a great under eye product from Colorscience. Definitely a brand I'll look into since she gave me a sample of the Primer to try - which I did this morning - and love it! So my skin looks and feels fabulous. My pores are invisible and my face is seriously soft! This is definitely something I am going to have to save up for and do again!
