Unfortunately, it has only gotten worse. ​Rude Front Desk: The older gentleman you pay for your table makes you feel like you are bothering him just by asking a simple question. He completely drains the fun out of the visit. ​Power-Tripping Range Officers: While I completely understand and respect the absolute necessity of gun safety, the RSOs here cross the line into being flat-out rude. They yell at shooters and treat you like you've never handled a firearm before. ​Zero Urgency: When there is a waitlist, the staff shows absolutely no urgency to get shooters assigned to open tables. ​I've been to many ranges, and this is easily one I would never recommend to anyone. They act like you're using their personal firearms and ammo. I won't be back, and I'll be making sure my friends avoid this place as well.

Rio Salado Sportsman is part of the shooting range and offers a wide variety of instruction. Parking 5/5 Parking was plentiful at the Training Building. Arrived at 8:30 and met members of my Medical & Safety Teams. Training Event 10/5 This is our second Team training event here. Stop the Bleed was our last class. Today's was part of our teams two year CPR & AED re-certification class. The class was taught by Battalion Chief Mark Cichocki. This was an instruction and hands on curriculum using Adult and Infant dummy torsos for the CPR and AED practice. Instructor "Fire Battalion Chief" Mark was outstanding. His years serving in fire and rescue was apparent, his instruction smartly mixed with real world examples was perfect. Mark's delivery style kept things moving and interesting. Value 10/5 $30pp no cert and $60pp for the two year certifications are exceptional price points compared to the big organizations ARC & AHA. Rio Salado sportsman 5/5 Their training center building is large and equipped to handle a wide variety of events and classes. Thank-you Rio Salado Sportsman. Firearms Trainer, Dave Laird, was our instructor on 3.29.20 for two classes: Precision Pistol and Holster Fundamentals. These two back-to-back same-day classes offered individualized hands-on training that took me and my fellow students, at a comfortable pace, from the basics of firearm use through to having us drawing a firearm from a concealed carry position within 1.5 seconds, and accurately firing on our intended target! These are skills that I will use in my ongoing firearms training, and I believe they have set me up for success as a Responsibly Armed Citizen.

I'm more of a hands on learner and although there was very little in the ccw course Dave and Jose did a great job of keeping things fun yet informative. His staff is extremely knowledgeable and went over the necessities with a fine tooth comb. The facility at Range Time LLC is massive and state of the art. You can tell Dave takes great pride in his business. His countless stories keep things light and his passion for educating the public is second to none.

I usually buy online and do the FFL transfers at this store, and never had a bad experience here. For those of you concerned with the toxic element that exists in the gun community, this place has none of that and is a great place to go learn, and purchase firearms and accessories. They're not trying to show off how cool and tough they look when holding a pew pew stick, they just want people to feel welcome and have fun safely in this hobby.

We shot targets for an hour and it was amazing because we enjoyed learning new things and I was able to show my family some techniques that they don't know as they don't go to gun ranges to try out new pistols in New York City. My reason for the 4 stars is... it just would be nice if the staff would offer a quick little safety reminder of Tips to people. Even start just some basic guidelines on the rules of the facility, not necessarily how to shoot a gun, but how to be safe in the space; that way, you don't have to be spoken to, but more importantly, it would be a nice addition just to feel more comfortable. Finally, the gentleman who checked us in was attentive, knowledgeable, and a delight. I would definitely do this more when I have guest come from out of town who have never had this experience.
