Training Dates September 10-12th 2021 Pistol Instructor Course. Day 1 When I first showed up I met Adam Winch and Hank Ownbey. Hank was showing me his gun and immediately Adam noticed my grip was off. Because, I am new, I was definitely open to corrections I needed to make. After day one of training my brain was ready to explode . I was the greenhorn in the class but eager to learn. The depth of knowledge and the ability to explain was truly superior. And Dave also has a great sense of humor. Yet serious when needed. With great expectations was eagerly looking forward to coming back. Day 2 More education and practicing presentation skills. This is truly an excellent course to take if you are serious about getting the best instruction for your buck. Worth every penny and then some. Dave has a great amount of patience. With expectations of positive results. With this caliber of training, it is impossible to come out of this class without great satisfaction. Day 3 This is where the rubber meets the road. The last day was amazing as well. Was a great experience watching the growth that I had made. And realizing that the journey has just begun. It was successful because my proficiency in shooting had improved from the first day of training. Learning the correct stance and building my grip. And to gain a greater understanding of the real heart of the NRA. Honored to have been a part of such a tremendous weekend. Feel truly blessed. I accomplished my first badge Assistant Instructor Basic Pistol. Look forward to many years of training, God willing. I'm 55 and hungry to learn. Hands down incredible training !!!!!!!!!! read more

Excellent training, beautiful facility, and a great experience that I will be enthusiastically recommending! Firearms Trainer, Dave Laird, was our instructor on 3.29.20 for two classes: Precision Pistol and Holster Fundamentals. These two back-to-back same-day classes offered individualized hands-on training that took me and my fellow students, at a comfortable pace, from the basics of firearm use through to having us drawing a firearm from a concealed carry position within 1.5 seconds, and accurately firing on our intended target! These are skills that I will use in my ongoing firearms training, and I believe they have set me up for success as a Responsibly Armed Citizen. read more

So this is the first yelp review I've ever done. I took the 4 hour CCW class with Dave and Jose and would highly recommend Dynamic as I intend to take several other classes in the future. I'm more of a hands on learner and although there was very little in the ccw course Dave and Jose did a great job of keeping things fun yet informative. His staff is extremely knowledgeable and went over the necessities with a fine tooth comb. The facility at Range Time LLC is massive and state of the art. You can tell Dave takes great pride in his business. His countless stories keep things light and his passion for educating the public is second to none. read more

About me: grew up in a home without guns, and only shot a handful of times. Pistol 1A: Pistol Basics: My first course was the Pistol Basics. The course is described as: "introductory class is designed for someone with little to no experience using a handgun. Class sizes are kept small for more one on one time on the range." That's exactly what I was looking for, and needed. The class was held at Usury Pass at Rio Salado Gun Range. The class is four hours, with the first 1.5 hours dedicated to learning the safety rules, history, basics to grip and stance,, and how to choose the right gun for you. There was shaded bench area so it wasn't too hot being out there during the lesson. I brought a notebook, snacks and water, and they were cool with the students eating. After a short break, we hit the range. You have to provide your own 9mm ammo, but they will provide handguns if you don't yet own one. They lent me a good condition Gen 4 Glock 19. We were taught range etiquette and how to safely approach the shooting lane and how to load the magazine. From there we did single round magazine loads and single shot fire drills, then worked our way up to 5 shot drills. They go from student to student, walking you through the process, and analyzing your movements and processes. Their focus for this course isn't you hitting the bullseye, but moreseo getting comfortable with the loud noises, handling a deadly weapon, and focusing under pressure. The instructors were complete gentlemen. They weren't all up in your business, were never condescending, and treated my newbie ways of gun handling with respectful correction. They helped troubleshoot my aiming issues, and let others take their time. One older lady needed to step away after about 15 minutes as she felt uncomfortable with the guns. Nothing in particular about the course bothered her, she told me the noises were just so loud that it was triggering her. She went to sit on the benches, and the owner of the org, David, went to sit with her and talked with her for a good ten minutes, calming her down, getting to know her headspace, and letting her know she was allowed to go at her own pace. I found that really respectful. It got dark but there's plenty of lighting around so the shooting at the range is never dangerous. I shot around 60-70 rounds total. Before class ended we finished up back at the benches with Q&A where we gave feedback to the class and asked any lingering questions. Overall I went in nervous, left exhausted (a lot of new information to take in, and shooting was surprisingly physically tiring) but woke up the next day surprisingly excited. I looked up other classes and am already planning on taking more courses. I was not expecting to feel so excited about more courses, but I think that speaks to how they fostered that in their classroom. The class is for newbies, but for a newbie, it's absolutely fantastic. CCW: The class is held in Ahuwatakee at RangeTime (which in itself is a very cool facility). The class is four hours, and all you need to bring is ID. I brought snacks and water and a notebook. The class begins with introductions around the room, and then we're off to starting and completing the official CCW paperwork: the application, the fingerprinting, and the signing of everything. From there we dive into the safety rules for guns, legal aspects of carrying, crime prevention and what you're allowed to intervene in, and the importance of training. Overall they cover a wide spectrum of topics, and provide more reading options if you want to dig deeper into Arizona state law, or travelling with a concealed firearm. What I appreciated about the class was their ability to answer questions (and if you've ever been in a legal or self-defense class, people ask every sort of question), but also stay on topic and on time. Their goal is for you to be aware of the laws, the dangers and benefits of carrying, and the importance of deescalation. They provide the CCW application, two fingerprint cards, and they do the entire process there, including providing the envelope. It'll be up to you to get the $60 money order, copy of your certificate, and stamps to send off the envelope. Overall the class was fantastic, and a quick 4 hours. Ending Notes: The instructors are fantastic. Peter is my guy!! DCS as an org instructors offer 500+ years of human experiencing in regards to gun training, law enforcement, and military experience. Their ability to address problems with gentle correction, their ability to stay on topic while answering questions, and just how nice they were I think are very unique to their organization. It's obvious they don't just hire anyone, but seem very protective over who they allow to teach their students, and represent their school. I appreciate that. I highly recommend DCS for gun related needs, and I will be taking more courses with them in the future. read more

I attended the NRA CCW Instructor course co-hosted by Dynamic Combative Solutions LLC (Dave Laird) and Certified Instruction and Training, LLC (Mike Abramovich) in June 2019. Both, David and Mike, ensured each student had a firm grasp on the information taught and provided feedback to each student. Even though this was an instructor level course, David and Mike took the time to provide insight into each student's shooting and instructional method to improve their performance. If you are looking for a quality instructor, who cares more about their students than just signing a certificate; DEFINITELY contact Dynamic Combative Solutions LLC (Dave Laird) and Certified Instruction and Training, LLC. read more

Took the CCW class last night and it was a great experience! jose Gomez del Castillo was a great instructor and added some great humor to a potentially boring class. He kept the class focused on the materials he needed to cover and didn't allow off-topic questions to go too far before returning to the class material. Thanks for your insight! read more

I took the CCW class with Peter David as our instructor. I hade a great time and learned a lot of valuable information. Peter continuously engaged with the class answering questions and explaining in detail and different situations. A friend of mine took the course a few weeks ago and referred me to him. I enjoyed the class so much I bought my son and his wife the class for Jan 9th. Peter David is a great instructor and I would recommend this course for anyone wanting to learn the laws of conceal carry. read more

If you have purchased an AR platform but have depended on You Tube videos to familiarize yourself with your rifle, stop that now. The DCS basic rifle course is what you need 4 hours to get you comfortable and effective. Good technical knowledge about how the carbine works and disassembles and great personal instruction on shooting techniques. I am a retired cop so it wasn't my first rodeo, but this rodeo was excellent, concise and no superfluous BS. I attended at Ben Avery, which is a fantastic range. read more

My friend and I attended the CCW class. Everything was fine at the beginning. We received our fingerprint cards, certificate, and application before the class even started. The instructor made a joke about not being offended, so we laughed at his joke. He then called us out in the middle of the class saying that he doesn't know why we are even attending the class. At the end of the class he told us he's surprised we even made it (we laughed at one of his jokes - that's it). read more

My wife and I were interested in obtaining our CCW but wanted proper training from professionals and that was exactly what we got. They have a series of classes for forearm and defensive training from former and current police and military. Real life situation discussion and most importantly resources to keep you safer from going to jail if God forbid you had to shoot someone because you were in fear for your or a family members life. Every gun owner should take this class. Thank you again for holding this class. I am very much looking forward to taking more classes with you. read more

We had a private family class on Gun Safety and proper gun handling and use. Dave met us at Rio Salado Sportsman Club and he provided all of the gear. From start to finish he kept the entire family engaged and interested. The training was the right balance of "classroom" instruction and hands-on range time. We had a great time as a family and all of us are excited to continue our training in firearms. Thank you Dave for a great educational evening read more

DCS continues to be an amazing resource after you complete one of their classes! I completed two of their classes and learned so much. I signed up for basic gun safety for my daughter and I. I called and spoke to Dave Laird. He could not have been more helpful and patient. As a new client to gun and gun safety, I had no idea what to expect. Dave told me about the gun safety class and I immediately signed up for Thursday night from 6:00-8:00. I can't tell you how amazed I was at his ability to teach. He is incredibly skilled and spent well over the allotted two hours. We had a blast and I will definitely be signing up for all of his classes. I will forever be so impressed by his knowledge and professionalism!! Thank you again Dave!! Awesome night!!! read more

I have taken this company's CCW course and was impressed. Today I took the precision pistol course, a beginners course, and let me tell you I am amazed! I am a beginner at the pistol and still growing comfortable using my own gun and today was a huge step forward for me. David and Peter freaking rock. I was in a group of four but we all had amazing one on one training. I was the least experience there but they didn't rush me once to keep up with the others. I feel more confident on how practice, even at home, and I just had a blast doing it with them.My husband who is more experienced than I had a great time and even felt he learned a lot of things. We will definitely be doing more courses! If you are just considering any kind of gun course/training, DCS is the way to go. read more

Today I took my third course, Every Day Carry (EDC) with Dave. It built upon the Precision Pistol and Holster Fundamentals courses I took in the past several months. Lots of fun, and great instruction and guidance from Dave. I totally see the value of taking this EDC course again. Also looking forward to the next course in the Fighting Pistol series. Completed CCW training with Jose 11/10/20, it was excellent! Jose is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and practical instructor, has a good sense of humor and engaged the class through real life examples and directed questions.
