She is so unbelievably flexible with scheduling, and even works before or after hours for doggies that need space away from other pups while grooming. My Yoshi isn't too friendly with other dogs, so this works out perfectly for us. She charges my 16lb Yoshi $65 (what a steal!!) and includes: wash/bath, cut, anal glads, nail trim. Sylvia is RUDE! I…read morewent there today, and as always, I thought she would see my dog very quickly. Well, the last few times she hurt my puppy's nails, because she cut too much and bled near the nerve, but ok, it's the closest place so I took her there again to take a shower today. I arranged 12 pm today, however, she texted me, asking me to arrive 30 minutes later, but I didn't see it. She could have called since I didn't answer. But did she call? NO! I live two minutes from the pet shop, I could come back later and that's fine. I arrived and said I could wait without any problem. She closed her face and started saying that she didn't want me to say because it stressed the dog and she and that she likes to work alone. I was VERY GRACELESS and asked what was better to do and she said: "let her there or bring her back later". I left, brought my puppy and I'll NEVER come back. I sent a message after that canceling the shower and I still had to read her saying she was stressed! And what do I have to do with. This???? Don't you have the patience to answer? Don't answer! My little dog will NEVER go back there.

The El Cajon campus of the San Diego Humane Society deserves so much love. It's a surprisingly…read morespacious, laid‑back campus with a calm, welcoming energy the moment you walk in. They offer so many essential services to the community -- spay/neuter, a free community pet pantry, pet training, dog licensing, lost‑and‑found support, humane euthanasia, rehoming assistance, and more. Their impact is huge, and every bit of support truly matters. One thing I really appreciate is their Adoption Guarantee. If a pet isn't the right fit, they'll schedule an appointment to welcome the animal back without judgment. That level of compassion says everything about who they are. The El Cajon campus also has its own personality -- you'll often see turtles and even a few roosters around, which adds to the charm. The staff here is incredibly kind, and they genuinely value their volunteers. Jason, the Volunteer Coordinator, is especially wonderful -- supportive, patient, and so encouraging. You can tell he cares deeply about both the animals and the people who show up to help. Some meaningful ways to get involved include: Donating Volunteering Participating in Dog Day Out Supporting the Community Cat Program Fostering Adopting instead of shopping Spaying/neutering your pets Sharing their posts to spread awareness Every experience I've had at the El Cajon campus has been positive. The team works with animals in distress every day, and they still show up with compassion and grace. Our community is lucky to have them.
