I have been coming to vets pets since I was a kid and they were across the street next door to the animal hospital and I will always continue to support them! Not only is the staff very knowledgeable but very kind as well. The gentleman in the Alice in chains shirt was so kind to gift me a simple bearded dragon sticker, however what he did not know is that I have been grieving the loss of my bearded dragon and honestly having a pretty rough day! My main Local Fish Store has been having trouble getting in healthy Clestial Pearl Danio's. So I asked my local Fish Society for recommendations about where else to seach. They recommended Vets Pets. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the tanks and the health of the fish. The workers there were very friendly and took the time to answer questions I had about about their tanks and procedures with their fish. They are also a Retail Partner with Aquarium Co-Op, which is a big plus for me! They also have VERY reasonable prices! the CPDs were significantly cheaper than the other store I go to. I bought 8 Celestial Pearl Danios. 4 days later and all 8 are doing very well so far in my Quarantine tank! Looking and behaving like very healthy fish! I am happy to have two choices of places where I can buy fish from now. read more

The Asian lady in there is hella rude and very disrespectful. She has no customers service at all. If it wasn't for the other lady in there they would have not gotten my money. So if you go there watch out for that disrespectful Asian lady because like I said she's hella disrespectful! Chris I definitely appreciate you reaching out. The problem is that your manager is highly rude and disrespectful. Before she got my side and what I was trying to relay to her she was already disrespectful and that made me match her energy back which was wrong of me and I apologize for that on behalf. I like this place . First time I came I was looking for Cardinals and they didn't have any . The owner offered to order them for me and I ordered 30 and he got them for me at like 1/2 the price ! I then came back and got a school of silver dollars for my big tank . They were about 1 - 1 1/2 " . They are now 3-4" and doing great! the woman with the tattoos is nice but this place is GRIMY. I've gotten my rats/mice here 3 times and i'm not going be coming back. the state of this place is actually FOUL. they keep their leopard geckos in sand which is a known fact not to do. (can cause infections, impaction, etc.) They have beta fish in TALL STARBUCKS CUPS in the sun on the front counter. these people have zero idea how to take care of animals. would come back for snake food if they figured out how to properly take care of reptiles/fish and maybe cleaned. edit: i think all of you giving 5 stars also know nothing about animals. because there's NO way you think this place is good. read more

Amazing fish store there's a good variety of fish to choose from especially marine fish! You can tell that they take care of them, compared to Petsmart & Petco that neglect the fish! Chris and his team are always great. Gone are the days of the old team; Josh, Ashley, etc... but chris has always been nice, helpful and responsive. I've been buying stuff from him for 10-15 years +. His fish are generally always healthy and disease free. He gives me the best prices when he can and is very honest. Most LFS owners don't really know much about SW fish but chris does. He's current in the trade and used to even get me nice SPS when it was available from Indonesia. Overall, a great store with a great owner. read more

I only shop here to get the live rats for my snake, and they always have many to pick from, ranging in sizes. You can tell they focus on fish as they have many saltwater and freshwater aquariums and fishies to pick from, but nice to see they have some reptiles and reptile products as well. Rats are reasonably priced, and so is the bedding I use. Staff seem knowledgeable and friendly, and there's AC inside!! So all the animals can be happy :) parking is a breeze, with many spots to pick from since it's in a shopping mal next to a big grocery store. read more

Couldn't believe the condition of their reptiles. There were sick and dead lizards, the cages were very dirty and too small for the snakes that were in them. I'd get if they were super busy but there was no one in there and the guys working there were just bs'n with each other. read more

I called in asking for a lettuce nudibranch and they said they would put it on hold for me until the following day if I couldn't make it in the same day. I was able to get to the store that same day after work and sure enough, my name was on the tank next to the little guy. They kept their word! :) +1 I was also looking for an emerald crab and Ashley was patient enough to search through all of the tanks! I insisted that it was okay if she couldn't find one in the first few tanks, but she just went through all of the tanks anyway. We came in to see what Vet's Pets has to offer. We were shocked to find several of their reptiles in deplorable condition. The Rosy Boa was missing both of its eyes which means it could be a rescue but the entire bottom of its bowl was covered in green algae or mold. Every tank we looked at was covered in animal feces, one python had 6 urates which did not happen in one week maybe not even two. There were several tanks with clearly dead lizards. This place seems to know aquatics pretty well but I feel really bad for the reptiles here. read more

Love love love this place! My boyfriend & I are salt water fish lovers. Not only do they have great deals on everything, all their salt water fish are so adorable and worthy of buying. && when we have a question about a fish, the workers there are very honest with their answers. They seem to know a lot about their fish and care so much for them! They always recommend to pick up a fish later when its not doing so well, and they let us know when a fish doesnt cooperate well with other fishes in the tank.
