I moved to San Diego from NYC about 2 years ago with my now 13 year old pomapoo, Max. He's got a serious but managed collapsing trachea issue and loads of anxiety. It's not only stressful for me, but it's stressful for my sweet little guy, so finding the right groomer who understands older dogs and all their issues is very important. I found Angel through yelp, and lots of people had complimentary things to say about her- especially about her rapport with older dogs! Fast forward 2 years, we still go in about every 6 weeks, she knows exactly how I like Max's hair cut, and he always comes out looking so cute, smelling sooo good and with a cute little bandana. I also appreciate how understanding she is on the days when Max's cough is worse than other times. It's not a super fast turn around, usually takes anywhere from 3-4 hours to pick him up, but no biggie for me. Oh and there's an AMAZING holistic dentist that comes once a month. After reading the reviews here, we decided to try Angel's. What a mistake that was!! My mini schnauzer came home looking good but limping and leaving bloody footprints everywhere. They cut her nails way too short, gave her back & never mentioned that she was BLEEDING!!! They cut many of her nails too, too short & left them sharp & not filed. To top it off, she was shedding all the fur they cut. How hard is it to blow off the damn fur? We will never go back & I strongly suggest you stay away too!! read more

I took my American Eskimo/Shitzu mix to Angel's. This was Ozzie's first visit. The other per groomer Ozzie had been going to was getting soooo expensive. $70 dollars for a 40lb medium size dogs haircut. That doesn't include a tip. Actually I stopped tipping cuz I thought it was too much for a dogs haircut. I decided to shop around... I found Angel's. I've been taking my Pug Rocky to Angel for a couple of years and feel compelled to leave feedback. I love the attention and love Rocky gets when I take him. Sometimes they fit Rocky into their busy schedule with little to no notice. Pugs are known for shedding more than any other breed and in the summer Angel give Rocky an awesome summer cut that really keeps him cool and reduces shedding to almost nothing.Rocky is also very sensitive to shampoos and chemicals but doesn't seem to have any problem with the shampoo and conditioner Angel's uses.
