Thank goodness for Carol and Doggie Station. My pup has not been the easiest customer in the past so the worry is real. According to Carol, as soon as I left all was well. So I guess I'm the problem?! They got along just fine and when I came to pick him up was greeted with a relaxed, clean & handsome doggie. Very pleased! This is an old school shop. My dog came out of there scared and shaken. We took him to another groomer today and they told us he was most likely spanked and yelled at. Every time the groomer went to touch him our dog coward down as if he was going to hurt him. We are so disturbed about this whole situation. Beware and you are warned. read more

I took my dog in yesterday for a grooming appointment. After entering I said hello to the Owner, Carol, who was sitting at, what I assume, was her desk. She did not respond immediately, but a few minutes later she greeted my dog, by saying, is that Harley, and I replied yes. We've been to her salon at least 4 times, so she knew who he was. Once my dog was in the grooming area, I mentioned to Carol, please clip the hair between his toes, and don't take any length of his ears. She did not like what I said, after I explained, the vet suggested this procedure, because he licks his paws, but when the hair is trimmed in between his toes, he does not lick. She said he licks because of food allergies. My dog has no allergies. She said, who's your vet, I said, Banfield. Oh my God, Banfield nearly killed my dog and they are horrible, she was yelling at the top of her lungs at this point. I exited and went to my car, considering if I should go back in and get my dog, because with such rage, from the Owner and groomer I feared my dog would be mistreated. So I retrived my dog. I was met with more rage and anger from her. I said to her that she wants to groom dogs one way, her way. At this point, she once again became enraged. Even in the past she was not responsive and did not heed to my requests to clip my dogs nails and extract hair in his ears. I pulled my dog from further appointments after she screamed, get out of my shop. No problem, I left having fear for the other animals. I won't and do not recommend, Doggie Station! read more

Callled and made appointment a week ahead. caro(the owner) and the younger groomer are super friendly and patient to our dog 'candy'. they cut better style than our prevous groomer with better price. She said this is the best groomer hands down the owner is awesome and was so pleased that they were so gentle with her oldest poodle which he is 17 years old. Brought my dog in a couple months ago. Have held off giving a bad review, but feel compelled to do so. My miniature poodle mix got the worst haircut he has ever had. Uneven and choppy. When I went to pick him up Carol did not hear me come in. She was trimming a dog who was fighting to get free. She was yelling at him and appeared to be very rough with him. I asked a neighbor who had recommended me, and her husband said he had seen the same thing, she was yelling at a dog. Will never go again read more

Carol and Iris (a mother and daughter team) they do an amazing job and my little dog, Meeko loves his grooming day. He is a service dog and they treat him like a king. Meeko has dry skin and they always use a special conditioner on him to address the issue. I took him to numerous other groomers and Meeko was extremely nervous and did not enjoy the experience. I was referred to Doggie Station and it was a perfect match. Their prices are reasonable, my dog always looks and smells great. I always prebook his next appointment. They are the best! It's a shame when you try to support a local, small business, but they push you away. I was told "we are booked for 2 weeks". Ok, so offer me an appointment in two weeks! Instead, I didn't feel welcomed at all. Not to mention that when she said she was "booked", she was sitting at her computer with not one dog in the place. The groomers are a mother and daughter, but they give amazing service on my dog! They treat her like a little princess and always return her in perfect condition. Would not recommend coming here! First, one time when i went to pick up my dog, I saw bottles of Corona on her desk. Also, I made my dog an appointment at 2:30 on Monday 7/20/2015 and she calls back a couples day before saying she reschedualed my dogs appointment for friday 7/24/2015 at 3:00 because she's going on vacation. SO were like ok thats fine you know its only a couples day. so its friday and i drive all the way from jamul to santee for no reason because she was closed. So saturday, 7/25/2015, I call her saying like what the heck i drove all the way there and you were closed and she said sorry i had trouble getting back. So we agreed to reschedule my dogs appointment AGAIN and she told me Sunday at 3 7/27/2015. SO on Sunday i drove all the way there AGAIN for no reason. Back and forth. Thats 40 minutes each time of driving back and forth. She was closed and I just called her today again saying you know what the heck is this and she was like no i told you wdnesday at 3. And I am 100% sure she said sunday. SO i told her ok i think its only fair that she gives my dog a grooming free go charge and she told me no ok bye. So know my dog has all this fur in this heat thanks to her. PS I would not leave my dog in the hands of a drunk. read more
