I've been taking both my golden and my little terrier mix to Suds N Paws for grooming for years and am a very happy customer. My golden is a certified therapy dog at the San Diego airport--I recently had her groomed just before taking her to the airport to "work"--so many passengers remarked about how soft and beautiful she was. Thank you, Suds N Paws! read more

We had been using this service for about a year. The dogs had been there about a half-dozen times. Overall, the dogs always looked good, so we kept returning. However, the customer service needs improvement. Yesterday, a Friday, we dropped our dog off around noon for our scheduled appointment and then returned to work. Around 2 pm, I received a text that our dog was ready. However, I did not notice the text until about 3 pm since I was at work. We received a second text that our dog "has been ready for an hour. There will be an additional fee for a late pick-up". What? I texted around 3 pm "at what time is the late fee assessed?" She responded, "3:30". But her hours of operation are until 4. Puzzled why we were threatened with a late fee 30 minutes before closing, we rushed down there. Maybe there was a written policy I had not noticed. Just before driving down, I then noticed a phone message from the owner received an hour earlier, around 2 pm, stating that our dog was "ready and just so you know, he is my last dog of the day". Ah, now the picture was being framed. I spoke with the owner, and I asked if she had a written policy indicating we had to get our pet after a certain amount of time after they were finished. She said, "No, nothing published." I asked, if that's the case, why did she text us that we were being threatened with a late fee 30 minutes before closing? Her response, "To get your attention". Well, you had my attention for the last time. Best of luck to you. read more

Super small and efficient shop. They have crates but if your dog can be out of one, they will let your puppy roam. The full groom never takes very long and they do a great job! They aren't overly priced like many of the other places around which is why I can see how they have been around for so long. We will be long time customers and my dog isn't traumatized when we pick her up. read more

We used Suds n Paws for years with no complaints. This year has been the worst. They do not respond to phone calls. I can only conclude they don't want older dogs with mobility problems. They have a high turnover in groomers. We don't recommend this place anymore. read more

I recently took my 14-year-old Chihuahua poodle mix who hasn't been in to be groomed for about a year because he's experiencing a little doggy dementia. They were so great with him and he came home looking and I think feeling like a new dog. I really appreciate their patience and care. The next week I took my little Yorkie pup for her second grooming and they did a great job with her too. Followed my instructions and cut her the way I requested. She was so happy when I came to pick her up playing with all the big dogs that I know they have a great environment for the puppies there to feel calm and comfortable. I'm really glad we found a great groomer in the neighborhood. read more

Bad experience! Will take at least one year to grow Juliette's hair back to where it was. I specifically gave the owner details of what I wanted. They ignored every thing I said. They buzzed her entire body and cut off her whiskers! Her face is cut like a Yorkie. She is a Shih tzu Maltese mix. I was offered my money back, no satisfaction in that. I want to know why. She had no mats! There's no excuse for doing such a botched job. This is an epic fail. This is your warning. read more

This place is awesome!! I stopped by to have my Akita/ Husky mix groomed was was completely wowed by their customer service! First- my girl is not the most dog friendly (with smaller pups) and they were able to still accommodate her! They were so sweet and kind to her and I did not worry at all that my girl would be under any stress- even with a new groomer! 2. The service was so fast! In less than an hour and a half my girl was been brushed twice, shampooed and conditioned, had her nails trimmed and paw pads done too! For a Large dog that is a very quick completion time. I will be returning back here not only for the quick and easy service but also for their wonderful prices! Chloe helped me today and it is safe to say I will always come back to have my girl Suki groomed! :) I would 110% recommend to all of my friends and close families to bring their dogs to Suds N Paws. read more

Very displeased with the service my Dane received at this establishment. He was supposed to be bathed, nails done, ears cleaned and anal glands expressed. When we go home I looked him over and his nails don't look like they were touched and his ears are still dirty and as for a bath who knows. He smells like they sprayed some cologne for dogs on him. When I dropped him off she said it will about 3 hrs. they called me less than a hr after I dropped him off. So needless to say that was a $70.00 learning experience. I would NOT recommend them. read more

It's been over a yr. now, I can do this. So, I did. I took Atticus, my Sheltie from life's storms, for a desperately needed Summer Shave, groom, the works, sans the anchovies. Rene worked magic on my sweet Sheltie, Atticus. He was FAB-U-luz! The owner is a super-Kewl, confident, business woman, who appeared to love our dogz. MaryAnn, my BFF, recommended this spot. Reminds me, I must get her on YELP! Take your dog here, reasonable, A/C, safe and they do not rush their art. ...................kisses................. read more

First time taking my husky puppy to Suds N Paws. Someone recommended this place. Julie and her team did an awesome job cleaning Lucky. My puppy is super shy around humans and other dogs, and he's very stubborn like all husky breeds, so I was kinda worried how he would react with other dogs in the waiting area. I spoke to Julie the night before regarding my concerns and she assured me that it won't be an issue and that they have kennels that they can put him worst case scenario. Their grooming service was fast and efficient. I didn't have to wait too long and they did a good job cleaning my husky. He's white, very active, and has to be walked daily, so he always get dirty and look like a mess!! So it's a much needed spa day for him. I highly recommend Suds N Paws. read more

This place is easy to miss, but don't! The new owner is truly a dog lover. She and the other groomers are compassionate and excellent at what they do from bath, to nails, complete grooming or whatever you and your pet need or want. I like that they will accommodate walk-ins as their schedule allows. Their schedule is pretty flexible and can usually squeeze in an appointment for those special unexpected occasions. The prices are reasonable and great for those who travel with their pets and need a refresher while away from home. read more

I called on a Saturday morning at 8:30, not expecting to get a same day appt for my two maltee-poos. Left a message and 20 min later got a call saying to bring them in! I was thrilled. They had my dogs for almost four hours due to my son's soccer game, but were done in 2 1/2 hrs. And they looked amazing when I picked them up, so fresh and clean. They were given perfect haircuts, not too long, not too short. They had the cutest bows on as well for Halloween ! I will definitely be bringing my dog's there again!! read more

First of all, I called this place when it was closed and left a voicemail asking for the earliest appointment they had for the next day. It was a total longshot because, well, they were closed, so how was I even going to get a morning appointment for the next day? Well, somehow everything worked out because someone did get my message and gave me a quick call letting me know that I could come in first thing in the morning. Excellent! I come in, I explain that I am new to having a dog needing to be groomed, so I asked questions about what they recommended for my dog and what to do moving forward. They were able to answer my questions and explain the process for me. All the staff were nice and all the dogs there seemed pretty happy. It's the kind of groomer where the dogs walk around in a common area (you can see it when you walk in) and the doggos can interact as they wait for their turn or wait for their owners to pick them up. I had no issues and would recommend this place to others. read more
