Absolutely some of the nicest and most honest people I have ever delt with in auto repair shop. I haven't been there in years by they are in my neighborhood. Brought one of my cars in yesterday with a flat tire and met with David the service manager. Alot of repair shops will try to sell you a tire but they made the repair and we were on our way. Absolute gentleman at this shop. The cooling unit for my transmission fell out of place, off the brackets and down into the front bumper. Dropped the truck off around 7am, got the call at 9:15 that it was ready , and they charged me $0. They told me straight up it just fell off the bracket and wouldn't charge me a nickel, didn't even want to take a tip. Not knowing much about vehicles , they could have told me almost anything lol. No question, one of the most frightening experiences a woman, with any sense, has is communicating with those entrusted with either the repairs or maintenance required for her car. I must admit I used to loathe the experience, Why? I knew going in I would be spoken to with condescension, will be cheated and lied to, plus overcharged pleasant experiences--yeah...and all reminders of an EX. HOWEVER, all this changed after dealing with the Gentlemen who operate Reaction Auto. This outfit was recommended by friends, best recommendation I ever got. Went to them a couple of times and each time walked out with my dignity in tact understanding more about my car, which is one of the loves of my life. So recently I needed four tires and I searched for the best price and they provided it. by far, they saved me close to 400 dollars. Every where else I was quoted a lot more than Reaction Charged me. They charged us different. The boy charged different and the boss charged different. As soon as I noticed that i told them that there is two different charges. They apologized and fixed that shame. I am not going there anymore. It was unprofessional. They have to have one price for oil change, not two! I hope they will take this into consideration and be better in their business. read more

As far as auto repair shops go everyone is dishonest in some way shape or form or so I thought based on much past experience. This shop is in a league of its own. They repair what needs to be fixed they don't lie and try to upsell you what you don't need. Their diagnosis is always accurate. I completely trust this facility. They also give your car back quick. There is nothing harder than finding a good mechanic. Look no further. While driving to work my vehicle began to leak coolant and overheat. At 6:45 am I called this business to see if they would be able to work on my car that same day. Joseph answered and his professional and empathetic manner immediately turned my shitty day better. I was towed to Re-Action at 8:00 am and was met outside. I received numerous calls throughout the day to keep me updated on the status of the work as well as obstacles they were facing due to my car being almost 20 years old and parts being discontinued. In under 24hrs my car was ready for pick up. When I thought that I wasn't going to make it in time they offered me the stress free alternative of allowing my vehicle to lay over. The final cost was more than fair and they even offered me a military discount without my asking. This place is a home run. Would recommend to anyone. One of the best and completely professional. I highly recommend Re-Action Auto service to everyone I know. I have been dealing with them all From Charlie,Anthony and Frankie, to now Frankie,Jimmie, Sebastian and David. I take my fleet of 26 vehicles and my own 2 personal cars to them for service. I have been asked by my company to look into other shops to make sure I am getting the best deal and every time I check I am getting the best from the best. Second time I used them so far and so far 2 for 2 they were great. The BEST thing about them is that I can bring my car here alone, as a female, with no male warrior to ward off attempts to rob me like other places would. Both times I've used them I've gotten my old car back purring like a kitten. The last fix I had done was with a different shop at some point right next to Whitestone. But that place gave me my car back running worse than I sent it in. I tried repeatedly telling them they ruined my car and even went for a ride in it with the mechanic. The mechanic had a very offensive machismo dismissive manner to everything I said like a machine. No reasoning whatsoever. The shop owner (nice but misguided) just listened to what the mechanic said. For $1200, they blew me off as a stupid woman and gave me my car back running worse than I sent it in. Maybe his mechanic steals and pockets the parts pretending to do the work. But he must have done some work because he gave me my car back ruined. Idling rough (one thing they did was change my sparkplugs), AC weakened (one of the jobs they did was fix my AC), gas mileage reduced by a couple of miles per gallon......ruined. So a couple of months after that sham job my car was completely undriveable and I knew I just had to go back to Reaction Auto. Surprise surprise, Reaction Auto had to fix everything else that other point shop pretended to fix - - but for only $871.00!!! And that $871 price included an additional car inspection and oil change. Ladies: Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Go to Reaction Auto. Straight there, no detours. read more

I have a 2003 Trailblazer and often receive offfers from the Douglaston Cheverlot for $29.99 oil changes and free "checkups". After the last free check-up Chevy handed me a printout with everything they belive needed to be "fixed", $12,000 worth of "fixing". Of course i knew they were BS'ing me. Reaction was recommened by by boyfriend's friend. So i went there and reqquested they "once over" the truck, look over everything, hoses, fluids, brakes, power steering, transmission. They truck came back with one issue, "Your gonna need new tires soon". These guys are great, HONEST, and they do good work. I have spoken to others who use their services and no one has anything bad to say. Been bringing my truck there for 2 years now for oil changes, inspections, NEW TIRES etc. Whitestone has quite a few auto shops, but they luv taken advantage of the ladies, think we will belive whatever they tell us is wrong with our vehicles. I always consult with others before i have work done and REACTION is always fair with their services and prices. read more

Allow me to say that the only reason I voted four instead of five stars, is, it was my first visit, and although I do think the boys at Reaction are "as good as it gets," and I doubt I'd have anything but positive experiences here, I didn't think it fair to vote so high with not much to go on... That being said, they are wonderful. The staff at Reaction is not only knowledgeable, but also courteous, and made me feel like a "regular." I'd been dealing with a problem with my car for months, and after multiple trips to the dealership mechanics (car was still under warranty,) it had gotten progressively worse, despite their "fixing" the problem. One look at the problem and they had the solution, AND told me my front brakes were in trouble as well (something I feel as though the mechanics should've caught, and would've been very dangerous if neglected.). Completely honest and trustworthy from Charlie, Anthony (now retired) Frankie and Dave, whom I just met. I can't recommend them highly enough. Place was always pretty sketch, I would get stuff done and things would still be wrong. So I dropped my fathers Jeep off there beginning of February. It took them forever to call him and to let him know what was going on. My dad would call and they would tell him the man working on it has an issue he'll call when he's free. The guys finally told my he needed a tone up. He said ok, and to call when done. That took another week, I would drive by since I live close and I would see his car on the street. My dad kept calling and they said they found more stuff wrong but they didn't know someone would call him. No one did, until after the third phone call. They told him everything was okay, and we could pick it up. I picked it up and we paid $965. I knew the car felt the same as it did when I dropped it off, my dad said the same exact thing. We took it to a place to be put on a computer to see what was wrong, and everything this place said they fixed was still not fixed!!! The man said the car definitely did not get tone up. In the end, my father wasted $965 and has to spend more because this place did absolutely nothing. They crooks here and I told my dad not to bring it there. He just trusted them because he was very close with the previous owner Charlie. read more

I paid $800 for services for my son's car and 13 months later the same problem I had 13 months ago was happening again. When I went there on a Monday they told me to come back on a Wednesday cause the have NYS jobs to do. Then they wanted to charge me another $500 saying that they only warranty only 12 months....what BS...nothing should go wrong in that span.... My car was not fixed in two days....the bs saying that it woukd be done in the morning never happened, the afternoon it was not fixed cause of them saying another thing was wrong with the car....Needless to say I will never go there again...I am sure there are other people who think the same way read more

1 star is too much for these clowns. My dad is 74 years old and he went to this "neighborhood" shop to fix his truck. He went a few times to this guy and finally my dad called me to say I think these guys are robbing me blind. Sure enough I look at the receipt and they charged him 3x fair market value for the parts and didn't even fix the issue he went there for. His fuel gauge wasn't working and are enough they charged him an arm and a leg for different parts and didn't even fix the issue. Only thing I give them 5 stars for is taking advantage of a little old man. read more
