Horrible people! The property owner of my apartment complex is re-asphalting our parking lot and put a sign that stated no parking on the 20th. Myself and most of my neighbors assumed that we would be able to move our cars the morning of the 20th. I walk out to the parking lot around 8:00 in the morning to find my car up on the truck. The asphalt company told the tow truck guy that it was my car and asked to drop my car. The tow truck guy then states it will be $60, calls his manager over who said I have to pay the $60. When I protested he said "Stop being a bitch and just pay the $60" come to find out another neighbor who drove an Audi just paid him $120 to have his car dropped from the truck! These guys are criminals stay away! read more

BIGGEST SCAMMERS OF ALL TIME !! They towed my car a couple of days ago from a parking lot on van nuys Blvd and woodman and when I reached there to pick it up, they weren't helpful or polite and demanded that I pay $235 to get it back. I explained it to them that I wasn't aware of the fact that I wasn't suppose to park where I had, but no mercy or any kind of consideration from them. My wife happened to look at their rate chart and realised they were charging us more than they officially should have. The moment we brought it to their attention, they dropped the charge to $172 and made it look very shady. The charge should have been $128 but they also included a so called "storage fee" of $40. Such rip offs ! There are various and honest ways to make money and not rip people off. What goes around comes around. Karma will teach them a lesson. And I hope they realise what they are doing to people is WRONG. Wish I could write this review without giving them any stars. Be careful of RC TOWING!! Horrible company. They like to over charge wherever they can. My car just got towed I called them right away saying my car got towed. They ask what kind of car I tell them and they say oh it's just pulling up in our drive way. I say no it's not I can still hear my alarm going off. So he puts me on hold then says oh it's on route. Like don't bullshit people who's car you towed. You towed it from in front of our home which by rules is allowed to be stationed there for less than 4 hours it was only there for 2 while I visited my family. Now you want to charge me a fee for picking it up on the weekend during closed business hours $300? And so I say I can pick it up instead during official business hours and I'm told I can but the price goes up because of storage over night ??! That's bullshit either scenario I get screwed. Then I ask the man since I'm picking it up the same day same hour if I can get the business hour price which would be $62 cheaper, $240. No because their office hours are supposed to be closed but officially they stay open for people to come pick up and pay that $62 additional fee. they illegally tow my car twice saying it was management company. but literary my friend has three bedroom and one parking spot and the manager knows i coming and she personally told me to park at those two spots. the first time they charged me 303, and today we reduced the price to 170 for second tow, but they suddenly changed it to 255. so my friend went to his management company because tow said that the manager said something. so literary they just closed the window and thew money... i have no idea how long it will all take. so be ready to Complete the "Plaintiff's Claim and Order to go to Small Claims Court." (Form SC 100). - Removal if the car they made without lot or land owner present AND current written authorization by the lot or land owner. The person who called the towing company to have my car removed was not present at the time of removal for the first time tow. Horrible company! To start this review off with. They towed my vehicle from my apartment complex I live in for a mix up in the managements paperwork. So I called them to have my vehicle brought back at no charge okay all is fine. So I call them I can't have my car back for another two days because they're "busy" I was fine with it I'll just drive my other car. So my wife is home when they drop the car off and she noticed damage. So I get home and sure enough there is damage from the towing the tore apart the top hats on my car. So I call them let them know what's going on. At first they acted like they cared and what not. They said they'll have a technician out next week to look at it. So I meet with the technician next week and he's not even a technician he's a gangster type guy that tows car for the company. Okay. So he's review is the car is fine. Then I show him proof that the damage wasn't there before my car got towed then, he changes the story too it was damage when they brought the car back it wasn't me who brought it back it was some other guy. Okayyyyyy. Then they take me to there crooked partners over at Ram tires the technician looks at my car from 50 feet away and says that damage wasn't done by the towing. Now I completely lose my head. So Ronny has been avoiding my phone calls and tells his receptionist that they're not fixing the issue and told me specially to let it go that they're not fixing anything Avoid them at all cost! Garbage towing company that will trick you into signing a document stating that you received the car in the condition it was in before being towed. And they attempt to have you sign this paper BEFORE you have any access to your vehicle. Be careful of these crooks. They were bothered at the sight of me checking MY vehicle. They let my car battery die overnight when they had full access to my vehicle (window fully open) to simply turn off the hazards. These guys are your typical tow truck shysters. They towed my car which...whatever, I'm fine with because I was parked illegally..sort of. However, my beef with them is that my car was scratched, things were taken from inside, and there was mud. A lot of mud. I can't figure out where it came from. It's all over the outside of my car. Anyway, what really concerned me were the missing objects. I noticed it immediately and said something to the boss. He was cool about it, and said he'd investigate because they have some hi-tech surveillance non-sense in their trucks to monitor drivers. When I call back I get some woman giving me a scripted response of how the videos were reviewed and no suspicious activity by the driver was reported. As a matter of fact, she informed me that he never even entered my car, and my possessions must have disappeared by some other means. Of course I asked if I could see the video, and for the low, low service fee of $65 I was welcome to come in and review them with her. Seriously? So to sum up...In one night my car gets scratched, broken into, and things stolen from. Then on the same night a completely different person shows up and tows my car. read more

The woman in their office began raising her voice as soon as I began to express my concern. She gave me a card with no name on it when I asked for the owner. They also tried to scare me out of small claims court by saying that I, "Pissed them off"and that they had the resources to pursue this in court." I went anyway and won. These are people with no morals or respect for people who's cars have been stolen. This place should be investigated and shut down. My car was towed while parked at my apartment complex. I have been a resident at complex for five years, have had same vehicle all five years and RC's has had towing contract with my complex entire time. Had car cleaned one day and forgot to put parking sticker back up; that night vehicle was towed. Even though RC's towing has seen my vehicle numerous times (with parking pass displayed over a five year period) they towed my car any way. Even though i feel towing my vehicle was pretty shady because RC's has seen it parked in lot for numerous years, I did not get pissed off over it because my parking pass was not dsiplayed at the time they towed it. THAT SAID... I went to pick up my vehicle and paid for release and was escorted to vehicle. I got into my vehicle and first thing I noticed was that my emergency parking brake was dead; no resistance. As I pulled out tow yard, I heard a banging/grinding noise coming from the rear of my vehicle. I immediately turned around, was approximately 20 yards away from RC's towing, and parked my vehicle. I went to investigate noise. When I got to rear of my vehicle, I noticed that my rear bumber had a large dent which was not there prior to vehicle being towed. FYI- my emergency paking brake was aslo working properly prior to tow and my vehicle did not make any banging/grinding noises. I spoke to Jess (employee) and showed him the damage; he took pictures. I asked him to jump into my vehicle with me so he could hear the banging/grinding and feel emergency brake; he refused. I was told by Jess that I would have to speak with Ronny, operations manager, because was the only one who could help me with damage to vehicle. Jess told me I had to email Ronny my issue; I did numerous times. I also have called numerous times and each time have been told Ronny was not in the office and to call back at a certain time. I have not received one email or phone call response from Ronny about my issue and i find now that whenever I call RC's office- my call always goes straight to Adrianna's (office assistant) voicemail. They must have caller ID! Conclusion: RC's Towing is a very shady company. Just because they are in the towing business does not give them the right to damage vehicles in the process. They know they damage a lot a vehicles and will continue to do so until they are stopped- by legal means. Since I have not heard one word from Rc's, I have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau and they are conducting an investigation. I have also contacted three locally owned newspapers and they are willing to write story in papers about my issue with RC's. Luckily I have family members who work for local television stations and have a great chance of having them run a story on shady businesses- featuring RC's. Further, I am in the process of filing papers to take them to small claims court. Finally, I am obtaining signatures from residents in my apartment complex to petition complex management/ownership to cut ties with RC's towing. IMPORTANT: if your vehicle gets towed by RC's towing- before you pay to get your car released- ask to see your car to make sure no visible damage has been done. If you see damage- understand your rights as a customer and don't let them intimidate you. After taking my vehicle to numerous body shops- it was found that my rear bumper was not only dented- but was also bent off its hinges. All due to RC's greed and tow truck drivers that do not know what they are doing! I usually don't leave bad feedback. But this is unbelievable. MUST READ IT. So while i went to my friends house to pick up something , i parked my car outside behind his car (where there is NO sign what so ever about no parking) and my GIRLFRIEND was sleeping in the back (she is 23). About 10pm i got a call from my girlfriend talking to me in a low voice scared telling me that they are taking the car while she is sleeping inside at the backseat. I run outside started running after the tow truck telling him to stop. When he finally stopped i approached to him told him that why is my car been towed away when there is no sign posted no parking and plus WHEN THERE IS A PERSON IN THE CAR SLEEPING. Than he decided to drop the car but also charge me 60$ which i gave him CASH . And dropped my car. After all that my gf was terrified, and then when we were driving back home already i noticed my car was making this weird and loud noise from the front right side . I then stopped and ask my gf to drive slowly while next to the car to see where is the noise from and it was from the front and it was making a noise that i can not describe. They towed my car from girlfriends apartment building wrongfully and I have proof but they charge me for 230.00 dollars for a tow less then 8 hours. Whoever has this company as part of their tow hook up you should be investigated for taking a kick back from them. Absolute crooks! They are in the business of towing cars illegally. It is a scam, they tow you and claim you were parked illegally. Since it is private, you have to pay them or not get your car. The fees are astronomical and accumulate quickly. Is a hostage situation only you can't appeal to anyone for help since they hold all the cards. Unfortunately I have to give a star to give a review. This is a scam. They tried to tow my car and was caught. There were two really high guys in the truck who said management called them, then they demanded $200.00 to drop the vehicle. When I got 911 on the phone their story changed and said they will cut me a break, dropped the car and left. Please... if they try to take your call illegally report them to the Department of Transportation and file a formal complaint. I was told if they get enough complaints they will refer it to the District Attorney for prosecution. read more

So I called RCS Towing today because the HOA management company in my condo complex suggested calling them after some idiot parked behind my car in what he thought was guest parking. I couldn't get my car out to get my kid to school or to get to work. I spoke with someone at RCS and he took my name, address, and phone number and said a tow truck would be there in 20 minutes. 50 minutes later I called wondering where the tow truck is and the man who answered the phone said there's no way they can tow the car without the HOA management company there to sign off on it. I was furious that I waited for 50 minutes for NOTHING. There was no tow truck on its way. Why tell someone that you will be there in 20 minutes when you have NO intention of going whatsoever. I am insulted and cannot believe a business would waste somebody's time like this. I guess I am the idiot for calling them anyway even after I noticed they only had one star. The girl at the front desk is so ghetto. She talks and looks like they picked her out from the hood. I don't think she has any type of schooling. Looks like your typical drop out. We arrived at 420pm and she didn't finish our transaction til 10 minutes to 5pm. She said her worker was 10 minutes away one hour and half later. We asked her where the the tow truck driver was and she said " I can't do anything. I can't take your car out so you're just gonna have to wait cuz I can't do anything! ! I called my supervisor to come and get the car out!!!" Later some guy comes with attitude. So we asked him if he was the supervisor and he said " I'm not the supervisor. I shouldn't be here I'm off the clock. Hey why didnt u close already since they came after hours!!!" I was like after hours we were not here after hours. We've been here since 420pm. The rude girl had the nerve to lie iin my face claiming I was there after hours. Wth!!! I can't believe that this place is still in business. There's no supervisor or 800 number to complain! It almost seems like they're running a sketchy business or illegal stuff. By far the worst place to get towing services.
