Bad Bussiness I took a brick in to match it They said they have it so I placed the special order with them They sent me to another place to pick up, To my surprise when I show up it's the wrong one. During the planning phase of our project, we visited other companies and were always treated with the "leave it to the professionals" attitude, but at RCP they give each customer, regardless of the size of their project, the same amazing customer service. They have fantastic prices and a great variety. Delivery was fast and very reasonably priced. They calculated all the materials we needed for the entire project, from the pegs for the stones, to the glue for the caps. They sell high quality products and we were even able to return some of the leftover pegs we didn't use. They even provide the added convenience of cutting stones! I have shopped there as a general contractor for materials for exterior hard scapes including stone veneers, brick and block materials, and cement products. I find the Counter sales team and the yard guys all very worthy of knowledge and helpful with customers. I recommend them to many who may be interested in their improving their home. The price points for materials may be slightly higher than you would expect but the service is great. read more

Rcp sucks. Their staff is horrible and rude. Their truck drivers won't call you and let you know what time they will be there. On top of that they said they would be there between 11 and 4 and showed up at 8 in the morning pissing neighbors off. Then they will argue with you on where they want to put their product at your house. I'm very happy never to use RCP again. Oh yeah and if your contractor purchase the product with your money make sure you have his information or they won't give you money for their 10 pallets back. I wanted to give RCP five stars but had to go with four and this is why. The service by the front office staff was perfect, very helpful and knowledgeable. However, when my wife went to pick up our very small order the worker in the yard "Steiner" was unbelievably unprofessional. She asked for help loading a piece of stone into our vehicle. Steiner stated he could not load the stone because it was to heavy and awkward. My wife went inside of the store and informed the office staff she would be back to pick up the stone. They asked why she was not taking it with her and she informed them what Steiner had said. They indicated that was not correct and sent her back out to the yard to be helped by a different person. As two other employees began to help her Steiner told them to stop that they were not loading the stone. My wife told Steiner what the front office had said and he went into the front office to argue his point. Upon his return he told the other two employees to load the item. Thank you to the two employees who helped my wife load the stone. To Mr Steiner....... hard to believe you are the foreman of the yard. Buyer beware. The guys at the front desk are jerks. I went yesterday with the goal of purchasing all the needed items to build a firepit. I planned on spending between $2,000 -$2,500 in materials. I wanted to build a large, very custom pit. Here is the list of reasons I decided to bring my business elsewhere 1. I stood by the front desk at least 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there. 2. Once I was acknowledged the guys helping me made me feel as if every question I asked was a stupid question. For example. Why is the steel pit ring, which cost $188 better than the one that cost $55? "Because steel is better" What is the $55 ring made of? (He never did answer that question) 3. When I told him I would like to purchase fire glass for inside the pit. He stated "that's gonna be expensive". I expected it to be expensive... but exactly how much? I needed to order 160 lbs. He gave me a price but failed to mention I should have gotten a discount for ordering over a certain amount. Another guy looked over his shoulder and said I should get a cheaper price for ordering in bulk. Was he trying to avoid giving me the bulk price and charge me full price? 4. When I asked a question he looked over to his associates and said "oh, isn't she special" This really offended me. If you have any dignity, I would advise that you never step foot in this establishment. Shame on you RCP, your customers should get more respect than this. Horrible customer service! Beware. I have been going there for 20+ years, not a lot but thru the years/houses. Never felt all that appreciated but... mostly only game in town with good supply of material, price ?. So I'm doing back yard patio in Flagstone THEY suggested 2 full pallets or 3 tons for my space, seems like a lot but what do I know?Get it delivered, start spreading it out and have mostly finished the yard with just the first pallet, so I buy a little more as to not disturb the other pallet (after talking with store person that led me to believe would be easier it return). All week no return ofphone calls, manager Mike seems less and less interested (no return signs all over the place) and finally agrees to take back the stone at my expense 125$ pick up fee. Really!! So now I need to start front yard and will have to think twice about (ever) going back to them. read more

A little over a month ago, I was going on year 2 of planning my wedding. I knew from day 1, I wanted to use Rocks for my guests to sign, instead of a traditional guestbook, because I wanted to display them in a basket and keep them on our coffee table after we got married. We decided to check out the Murrieta RCP location, and I am SO glad we did. We told the workers what we were looking for. They showed us the bulk section of rocks, but we knew if we took a bag, we wouldn't get all flat rocks (needed flat so it would be easier to write on). We asked one of the gentlemen outside if we could build our own bag, as we only needed about 150 rocks anyways. Not wanting to get in trouble, he said we would have to ask the manager. We went inside to find the manager, told him what we needed for my wedding and he said no problem, you guys are more than welcome to dig through the bulk section and get what you need. 15 minutes later, we picked out all the decent sized flat rocks, had the bag in our hand, and my dad asked that same manager, "Do we just go back inside to get these weighed out and pay for them?" The manager of the Murrieta location then replied with, "Don't worry about it. This is our gift to you for your wedding, congratulations." Me, the bride, being 2 weeks from the wedding and an emotional wreck, of course started crying. I know it wasn't much, but this manager absolutely made my day. This is a quality family business that cares about their customers. Like any business that deals with the public, they will not to be looked at positively every time due to many things, including themselves. I overheard a lady getting mad at one of the counter people due to her thinking she should get a discount for 15 pounds of gravel one of times I was there. This is an actual customer. Went there 2 days in a row looking to buy stone. First day we were there and after about 7-8 minutes someone finally came over to see what we wanted. It was like an extreme effort to answer any questions, he just kept insisting we sign up for the mailing list. We left, then came back later in the afternoon the next day. Thought we would give them a second chance to earn our business. The guy who talked with us the previous day had gone home, we were looking at the stone on the wall. 1 guy sitting at desk, two guys sitting at counter, one guy by paperwork at back wall. I had to finally, after about ten minutes walk over to ask a question. When we asked if they had any to look at, he said, go out on the lot, back halfway in white boxes. WHERE? The only guy willing to help us was the lot guy driving the forklift, after we were wandering around, he parked his forklift and tried to help. After looking for stone for about a half hour, came back inside and all four employees hadn't budged. Not until, I think, he was a contractor, who came in and they started speaking with him. They weren't at all wanting to answer our questions and they acted like it was an imposition to help us. We asked about mortar, they handed us a brochure, and that was it. Good thing we didn't buy from them, I got home and called to three other dealers, only to find out RCP was $ 1.20 to 1.40 a square foot higher on the stone than the other three dealers.
