Alex and his crew did a great job extending our driveway. I really appreciated that he returned my calls/texts, giving me peace of mind that my project was not forgotten. The morning of the start of the project, Alex came to go over the project with my husband to make sure they were both understanding of the work that was to be done. My husband was concerned about a drain pipe next to where the cement would be poured, and was worried about it being damaged during the dirt removal. After the dirt was removed, Alex ran water down the drain to show us that the pipe was undamaged. He listened to my husband and made sure to pour the cement a couple inches from the drain pipe, so there was no chance of any damage. Alex was also very flexible with scheduling. He was able to reschedule the cement pour day on short notice, so that my husband would be home on that day. Alex and his crew arrived on time, which I appreciate. I've had a lot of work done in the past, and it always upsets me when contractors are late. At the end of each workday, the crew cleaned meticulously to ensure the work area was clear of dirt and debris. Alex and his crew were always respectful of our property. The price was very reasonable, and I had received more than 8 bids. Alex is honest, a good communicator, and his crew are hardworking and punctual. I'd highly recommend giving Alex a call. read more

They did fantastic they did a full gut job demo of the front and the back yard. They did concrete, turf, a garden bed, and some planters. They planted all the new plants and set up irrigation. We have a small back area it's more of a big patio and small front yard but with his attention to detail it came out nice. Alex was so kind I'm sad we won't be seeing him in our home anymore his presence felt like family. He was very flexible and bouncing ideas off his was helpful. They always cleaned up after themselves after each visit and were always respectful. Unfortunately our HOA took forever to approve our job from the original estimate so it took a minute to get back on his schedule. I totally get it he's a busy guy because he is good at what he does so overall Job well done. read more

I scheduled an estimate with this company and was genuinely looking forward to working with them. Unfortunately, when the contractor arrived, another estimator (from a different company) that my wife had scheduled was already at the house. I apologized over the phone and explained they would be right out. Instead of waiting or responding to my follow-up text, the contractor simply left without a word. I completely understand that this situation wasn't ideal and can seem discourteous from their perspective, but as a business, I feel a quick response would have been the professional approach. Communication goes a long way, and I was disappointed because I was strongly considering hiring them. read more

Alex and his team are STELLAR! Not only in their work, but, in their communication and their cleanup. All aspects. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate having him as our contractor. We have used them in the past and we are very much looking forward to using them in the future. He was also very helpful in coming up with creative ideas. read more

Alex and his crew were awesome from start to finish. He came out and gave me a quote, he was very informative and walked me through the whole process. The price was very fair and his reviews were great. We scheduled a start date and got the project going. They leveled out the backyard and then laid the rebar and did a nice border with some gravel. Then poured concrete waited a few days and came back and finished the work. Our backyard is not a traditional set up due to not having a backyard fence and he worked around those problems easily. I 100% recommend Alex and his company. read more

Tapia's concrete service helped me complete a mansory wall. I was very impressed with this company's professionalism. Before stating the project, the owner Alex made sure to call Gas Co, water Co etc to find out where the Gas Line was before digging. Their contract was very precise and had all the unexpected scenarios covered in details. Alex the owner was hands-on doing the job himself side by side with his guys. Alex was a pro-communicator. He always sent me photos with each progress and he would let me know if he would skip a day due to rain. Alex was responsive to every question I had. So if you have a concrete job, mansory job, you can't go wrong with Tapia's concrete. read more

Alex and his crew are great! From coming out for an estimate, to project completion everything went very smoothly. They added a circular concrete driveway, widened an existing concrete pathway and installed flagstones to add on to an existing path. It looks beautiful and we're happy with all of it. Alex gave us good time estimates and they were on time every day they were scheduled. The work was meticulous and high quality throughout. We'll definitely contact him for any future work. read more

I found Tapia's Concrete here on Yelp, which has never let me down for quality contractors for our home improvement and repair projects. I was glad to find Tapia's was no exception. There seem to be many companies that will have concrete installed, but they often subcontract it out. I wanted to deal directly with a concrete contractor as I had a big driveway project that needed to be done right. The old driveway was done badly with no supports underneath and was cracked, ugly, and falling apart. I found Alex Tapia to be friendly and easy to book a quote with. When he came we talked about what we wanted, and he measured it out and gave us a quote right away. We were happy with his competitive pricing, and by talking with him we got that he is experienced, really knows concrete and takes pride in his work. We have a large, sloped driveway and had the top half replaced, along with the apron at the bottom where it met the street. The old apron was patchy asphalt and we had it replaced to match the rest (see pics). We decided on using colored concrete for the main area, Alex gave us a color chart and some good advice on colors. For a nominal price, adding color really makes a huge difference. All the way through, we found Alex to be very organized and communicative. He gave us a payment schedule and told us exactly how the job would go, step by step. We discussed the placement of all the joints and he planned them very well so they would look nice and not too intrusive. Each day Alex and his workers came they were right on time and worked efficiently. The demo was a tough one, as the old concrete was poured badly and super thick in some places. The crew cleaned it up well and disposed of it legitimately at the dump designated for concrete, very important after seeing the illegal dumping done by some companies in our area. Alex was here each day with the crew and gave me a full update on what was done, what they would do next, and when. He only did our job at the time, so we didn't have to wait while he was doing others. He was also good about contacting me by phone call or text when there were questions or anything else, as well as getting back to me by the end of the day when I called. The concrete pour was a big day with Alex and the crew monitoring everything closely, as it pretty much has to go perfectly. The crew was well trained, each person had a specific job and they were very on top of things. As I had hoped and expected, all the work turned out beautifully with no issues. They did an excellent job, and my husband and I were very happy with the huge improvement the new concrete driveway made in the curb appeal of our home. We definitely went with the right company, and highly recommend Tapia's Concrete to others. read more

This vendor did flawless work on our new patio and sidewalk and continues to be responsive. 1-4-25.

I got three of the better rated concrete companies I could find to quote on a job to build a capped retaining wall (about 25+ feet) and lay concrete in my small backyard. The challenging part of my yard (while still pretty small) is that the only direct access is through my garage (I have no side gates with direct access from the street / driveway due to how our models were constructed). All three companies actually were within $200 (or less) of each other so I felt pretty confident that the pricing I was getting was accurate and fair. I decided to go with Alex / Tapia's concrete services as I felt based on the questions they were asking (drainage, colors and look for the wall, what I planned to put on the concrete, etc.) that they had a well thought out plan and had everything covered (even down to planning for extra time due to the odd lay out of access to the backyard and having to accommodate for my neighbors getting in/out). We're really happy with how it all came out, the wall looks great, colors match what we had expected, new drainage outlets were dug and connected to the main drain (even left 2 spouts for when we get rain gutters) and the concrete work looks professional (still drying but the splotches are slowly fading to a single lighter color). His team were fairly neat and cleaned up before they left each day. Would highly recommend Alex and his team! read more

It's a pleasure to share my great experience using Tapia's Concrete Service. Alex and his crew are professional, reliable and do quality work at a very fair price. Alex showed up on time for the estimate, and both days during the project. One side of my house had no walkway. I hired Alex to pour about 38 feet of concrete for the walkway, and also to fill in part of the corner area where the rear patio meets the new walkway. Just prior to pouring the concrete, I realized that a small brick extension that I asked Alex to build did not leave space for the drip line to fit between the fence and the new concrete in the corner area. My fault, not his. Alex snaked some PVC under the base and fed the drip line through, and didn't ask for any extra money. Everything was done with quality, care, on time and on budget. And, they clean up their mess, too. What a rarity these days. I gladly gave these guys some extra money. I will gladly hire Tapia's again if I have a need for concrete work. Note photos have some dark areas where the concrete has not completely cured yet. read more

Alex and his team did a great job. He was actually the only one that replied to my quote. Everyone else seemed too busy to even bother replying. I was worried as I couldn't get multiple quotes, but the work was done and looked great. He was very responsive and answered any questions I had. I wanted to get concrete done along the side of the house and fill in some spots were it was just mulch. I didn't like to do much yard work, so I rather just use concrete. Alex recommended I keep some dirt around just so the rain have somewhere to flow. I also had them put up a sitting wall. Overall everything looked great at the end, highly recommended. read more
