I had a strange experience with Paul. It started with a friendly phone conversation and a friendly exchange in person. However, halfway through explaining and walking down the property, pointing out aspects of the future project, he unexpectedly says "This job is too small for me". Sorry, but 35K for a project I don't think qualifies as small. I find his abrupt reaction unprofessional and inconsiderate. We all work for a living and move our schedules around to create time in our busy days to accommodate meetings, I cannot see this behavior positively. I wish Paul the best, and of course, he has the right to turn down a job, but there are ways to do it correctly. I can't understand the strange reaction. read more

I called Paul for a quote last summer, he responded in a timely manner, letting me know he would be glad to give me a quote but wasn't going to be able to do the job for 6 months. His quote was very reasonable and he was definitely very worth the wait! We had a sidewalk poured from the driveway to the backyard gate, flagpole and a driveway extension. His concrete contractor did an excellent job, were very courteous and cleaned up the worksite daily. Their work was beautiful and professionally done. After letting the concrete dry a bit, Paul's crew got right to work sculpting a beautiful dry river bed, which they lined with perfectly sized rocks. The plants were delivered the next day and the guys got right to work planting. Next came the side curbing, drip system, the drains, then the rock to cover the yard and planters. Everything was done in rapid succession. The site was clean everyday before the crew left. The project came out beautifully!! Paul is a man of strong faith and integrity, if he says he is going to do something, you can bet it will be done. He always responded to my email, text and calls in a timely manner and addressed my concerns like the professional he is. It is so rare to find these qualities in a businessman today. We've worked with Paul's Landscape Services twice now. The first was when we were moving and needed a new front lawn in. Our original plan didn't work out, she we called Paul with 2 weeks until closing (the new lawn was a requirement of our closing). He was able to fit us in and the entire lawn was installed extremely quickly. Recently we hired Paul to do the front and back yard of our new home. We wanted a rock landscape for the front, called a Xerioscape, and synthetic turf in the back to the kids could play and we didn't have to worry about mowing the lawn. My family and I are very satisfied with the finished result of our yard by Paul's Landscaping Service. This is the first backyard in the past 3 homes my wife and I have lived at, in which we had the opportunity to design the backyard, so this was a big deal. Unlike all the other estimates we had, Paul was the only one who showed up with a binder full of sample work and the only one who explained the outcome of our designs overtime, which could have cost us more in the long run. He didn't say yes I can do it and just leaves us to be surprised by the outcome. Spoke to this gentleman about setting up an estimate for some landscaping services. Seemed like a very nice gentleman over the phone. He shows up to our house on time, I had texted him that I was running late. What happened during this visit was completely bizarre. He goes around the house saying, "this is wrong!" and "who did this?" He then tells my wife that he is leaving and that I can call him. After 10 minutes, I call and there is no answer. He did not even offer any type of explanation that might have been useful to us, nor did he mention what was "wrong." He has every right to refuse a job, but the way he conducted himself was unprofessional. I actually took time out of my busy schedule to write this (and I very rarely write reviews). read more
