Went in yesterday to see what they had to offer for my son. We were helped by the owner I believe. He explained to me the differences between the Rc trucks. We found a great fit for what we were looking for. For a hobby rc truck the price was reasonable. We went home learned about it and had a blast!!!! My son broke the receiver trigger that night being too rough. We went in this morning asked what we could do and they went above and beyond, they replaced it with no charge so my son could have fun with it. We got a Horizon Ruckas with a faster charger and a little bigger battery. Very Impressed with the customer service. There are not too many stores like this. Great Customer Service!!! I purchased an entry level RC truck for my sons 5th birthday in November and Chris was extremely helpful in directing me away from the well marketed and more costly truck that I thought I wanted into one that was less expensive and from his experience the better option. After using the truck 3 or 4 times the on off switch broke and we were pretty bummed out. I called Chris to find out if he had the replacement parts and he offered to fix it as a warranty issue all on his own. My wife just took the truck in today and they quickly swapped out the broken part, adjusted something else they noticed was a little off and sent her away without any mention of $$$. Thanks for taking good care of us. As we out outgrow this toy we will definitely be back for bigger and better. read more

The most Exquisite remote-controlled hobby store one could ever go to! The owner Chris and as employees Ryan and Charles are wonderful. most of the time when I go I go to just hang out. That is how much i enjoy being in their company. I did by chance by a Losi LST 2 XXL recommended by Chris. After having a Traxxas E-Revo not purchased from his store which was an absolute nightmare the car that is. I asked what he recommended with the least amount of maintenance he told me about the Losi so I purchased one. best remote control car I've ever had. With the E Revo in 2 years I went through over 87 differentials which were an absolute nightmare to replace. Fortunately while I had it Chris and his team always had them in stock. After the Losi I've had four about 3 months now driving hard on 6s I have not had to replace a differential yet only minor damage from crashes. My point in being is that his recommendation of purchasing Losi was incredible. Chris knows that I'm not much of one to write reviews but I feel that tonight after reviewing something else that I should put in a good word for him. This is one of the best RC hobbie stores I've found yet very friendly prices little higher then the others but the service makes up for it.

Their lipo batteries were a little overpriced and not as good of quality as Batteries Plus right down the street. Although the customer service was great Batteries Plus had the great customer service and competitive pricing. They even offered to ship directly to my home for $5 if I needed any other batteries! read more

The owner (Chris), Sean, and Charles are great. The customer service is really top notch. You just don't see customer service like this anymore. I bought a Traxxas Slash for my son and I as well as upgrades and replacement parts here. They take the time to show me how to fix something so I can learn. Its always good to walk into a business and talk so someone who knows their products, inventory, etc. These guys are easy to talk to and provide great customer service. they will not over-sell and always provide suggestions appropriate for my interests/budget. Pricing is also very competitive and huge inventory of rc car spare parts. I usually stop by at least once a week to upgrade/replace my broken parts, and they always seem to have what I need. read more

First time Ive been to this shop. Looked it up after being frustrated with hobbytown. The prices on parts were much cheaper and plenty in stock. The customer service was as good as could be asked for. Staff was also very knowledgeable about rc cars, something hobbytown seemed to be lacking. I will be shopping here from now on. read more

RC Hobby has become a frequent stop for my son and I. Being that there are only a few of these "hobby" stores left in North County I am glad this one is close by in Vista. my sons loves RC cars/planes, rockets, gliders and train sets are his favorite toys and keep him occupied for hours, so its always a treat to stop here. The pricing is very competitive, and the inventory is great, especially for spare parts. The owner is a super down to earth guy that isn't try to make and extra buck off you. I recently brought in one of my first electric RC cars I found in my parents garage from 15 years ago. I decided that I had wanted to "refurbish" this for him instead of spending hundreds on something I wasn't sure he was ready for. I went in on a busy weekend and Ryan helped me out. His car had a ton of problems and being on a budget he helped me get it up and running saving me a ton of money. He is extremely knowledgable and friendly. When my son ready to upgrade I'll be back at RC Hobby Vista. read more

Rc hobbies is one of the best things to happen to north county, clean friendly, and helpful. shop is stocked nice with a full line of many products. the owner chris is helpful on a lot of your rc questions. I have found this shop to be one of the best in North county !! i will go to rc hobbies for a lot of my rc needs. so I'd say if your tired of the BS from other shops stop in and see Chris at RC hobbies it will be a great experience for you and your friends. after visiting some other shops in the area I found like hobby town witch was OK (if you talk to john) three stars.
