I would recommend him for any job big or small. Frank has worked on my 2005 GMC Envoy and my '93 Dodge Stealth and I've always felt in good hands. Since I've known Frank, he's repaired everything from small leaks to replacing my clutch on the Stealth; and on the Envoy, Frank has skillfully rebuilt my transmission plus replaced a water pump and various other things. It's never great having to spend a chunk of change repairing your vehicle, but when ever I have had to make repairs, I always knew the work would be reliable and Frank would take care of me. At 111k miles my 2013 Ram 2500 had a transmission issue that forced it into "limp mode" which only…read moreallows 4th and reverse gears (so you can get it to service). I brought to Talcot Transmissions in West Hartford and they charged me $145 to "diagnose" it. They claimed the transmission needed to be removed and completely rebuilt for and additional cost of $5600. I had doubts whether all the work was needed so I brought the truck to AAMCO of East Hartford. At AAMCO Steph did a free check and diagnosed a problem with the solenoid pack. The problem was repaired with new parts and works great (for $1525 including tax). Thanks to AAMCO and no thanks to Talcot Transmissions.
