After two hours of trying everything it was apparent that only a Porsche dealer could "code" the radio. Jerry is an amazing man who loves a challenge, and hated conceding. Even though he spent all that time he didn't ask for any compensation whatsoever. I told him that even though I live in Southbury, I'll be bringing my cars to him from now on. It took maybe 25 minutes, they have great AC & TV for those that don't work from their phone or brought in a book to past the time !! Absolutely blown away by the care that has been put into my car. I have a Nissan rogue (a terrible…read moredecision on a car) and I bought it only 8 months ago. The transmission blew. I heard phenomenal things about this shop and I live about 22 mins away but I chose to come here. He talked to my father one on one for a period of time about the quality of the car and the experience he has with it. He also took the time for my dad to understand this new kind of transmission in these car. The CVT. A new transmission was ordered before I brought the SUV in. He did the job within a 3 day period. I paid after I was satisfied not before like some jobs. Now nissan sold me a bad remanufactered transmission and Rob took the time and care to bring it to nissan and discuss the issues and make sure they took ownership for selling a transmission with bad parts. He wants to make sure that I am satisfied knowing I am unemployed and that this was an astronomical unforseen unfortunately expense. I would 200% suggest coming here. My father is a tough cookie to sell. And he has been doing auto Mechanic work for years. He said Rob is a stand up man, does good business, and honors his word good old fashioned mechanic. I walked into D&D today for the first time and asked him if he could program the origianal factory default values for the transmission (the fix I saw on a you tube video). He knew exactly what I was asking for, got his high end scan tool and had it done, including a test drive, in 15 minutes. My shift problem is now fixed and the transmission also seems to shift better between all six speeds. The mechanic who posted my answer on you tube, received many thank you comments, mostly from other mechanics, who wasn't aware of this option. I would recommend to go see Dave at D&D for any transmission issue. BTW: my car is 2013 Camry SE, 2.5 L, six speed A/T, 117k

Awful experience. They would communicate once a week but only to keep adding repairs to the bill…read moreand fix things we told them not to. Either they were too lazy when they first looked at the car, or wanted to push and see how much they could get away with. When I finally snapped and called them furious, I was spoken to so condescendingly and they insisted we had ghosted them, when I had only received one call from them that day and my husband had only gotten two, not including the amount of times he had to reach out. Then after we were told it would be ready the next day, the transmission they ordered was no good and there was a mysterious electrical issue that could only have been caused by them not installing correctly. They refused to take accountability. First it was a whole transmission repair after they refused to entertain my husband's request to see if it could be salvaged, then an axel and an oil pan, then brakes that were replaced after we told them not to touch them, then a faulty wire that they probably caused. My husband had to go down to demand to see the replaced parts because this was getting so out of hand. When I finally got my car back, it was flashing a dangerously low fuel warning and smelled of cigarettes. I understand transmissions are not a quick or easy repair, but the shady behavior and games they played with us were unprofessional to say the least. And after a bill that drained our savings I now have to schedule with our usual mechanic to see what else may have been tampered with out of spite. Overall, please avoid.
