Jk They hooked my car to a machine, & Jerry explained to me it was testing for leaks, pressure , & im sure a few other things ! It took maybe 25 minutes, they have great AC & TV for those that don't work from their phone or brought in a book to past the time !! After a tweak or 2 to my car I was soon on my way to feeling that Artic cold air as I ride through the end of summer !! Let me add the Groupon coupon Savings was for a different service Jerry's Auto offers & not what I came in for!! I didn't really read the fine print !! But he was awesome & let me use my Groupon but pay the difference of like a few more magic beans !!! It's hard finding a good mechanic / shop !! But they exist few & far !!

Jerry said to bring it in and he'll see what he could do with it even though that wasn't his business. After two hours of trying everything it was apparent that only a Porsche dealer could "code" the radio. Jerry is an amazing man who loves a challenge, and hated conceding. Even though he spent all that time he didn't ask for any compensation whatsoever. I told him that even though I live in Southbury, I'll be bringing my cars to him from now on. Rob called me up shortly after we brought the car in and he explained what the problem was, what he would have to do, the parts needed and the quote. Once I gave the Okay, he got right to work and called me back later in the afternoon. There was one problem that he wanted to research more before starting and he wanted the vehicle a little longer to be sure it would be fixed right. I liked that he was honest about the problem with the car and just didn't go through a trial and error repair. I gave him the Okay to keep the car overnight and Rob called early the next day. It was all fixed, the problem was what he thought it was and he took care of it. The work was done and the price was the same as what I was quoted. I would not hesitate to go back to Bedell Transmissions Total Car Care for any work on my vehicles. I would even trust Rob with my mom's car!

I heard phenomenal things about this shop and I live about 22 mins away but I chose to come here. He talked to my father one on one for a period of time about the quality of the car and the experience he has with it. He also took the time for my dad to understand this new kind of transmission in these car. The CVT. A new transmission was ordered before I brought the SUV in. He did the job within a 3 day period. I paid after I was satisfied not before like some jobs. Now nissan sold me a bad remanufactered transmission and Rob took the time and care to bring it to nissan and discuss the issues and make sure they took ownership for selling a transmission with bad parts. He wants to make sure that I am satisfied knowing I am unemployed and that this was an astronomical unforseen unfortunately expense. I would 200% suggest coming here. My father is a tough cookie to sell. And he has been doing auto Mechanic work for years. He said Rob is a stand up man, does good business, and honors his word good old fashioned mechanic. I called and the woman said oh they can't see your car there's only a quarter tank of gas in there. So I was like why did it take 3 days for them to tell me this! Another 3-4 days go by and a rude man calls and gives me a quote and asked why did I ask for just a converter quote when the whole thing should be replaced. I said sir the dealer said I needed one so I was recommended to come to you to ask for a quote to see if you can help me. He said well just go back to the dealer then! I said wait so you don't want to help me? Basically in so many words he just didn't want to work on my car. This is a review of the D & D Transmission Repair in Norwich, CT. Dave Daley, the owner told me…read morewhat to expect when he was to rebuild the transmission in my 2011 Chevrolet truck. I had brought it to a dealer and got a pretty high cost for a remanufactured transmission. I decided to look around for a transmission shop and D & D had many good reviews. The price he stated to rebuild MY transmission was less than half of the dealer cost, so I agreed and left the truck with him. A couple days later, he texted me a few pictures of the disassembled transmission AND a short video of part of what he was doing. A couple days later, I stopped into the shop to thank him for the pictures and he brought me in the bay to show me the transmission and the pieces he would discard and some of the new pieces he had received so far. For about 15 minutes, he basically gave me a tutorial on how a transmission worked and what some parts did. It was over my head but I realized he really knew what he was talking about. All new parts were installed so basically, I have a new transmission. He also replaced the transmission cooling lines that were leaking. The job came with a 24 month, 12,000 miles warranty. Very pleased with the work and customer service.

Either they were too lazy when they first looked at the car, or wanted to push and see how much they could get away with. When I finally snapped and called them furious, I was spoken to so condescendingly and they insisted we had ghosted them, when I had only received one call from them that day and my husband had only gotten two, not including the amount of times he had to reach out. Then after we were told it would be ready the next day, the transmission they ordered was no good and there was a mysterious electrical issue that could only have been caused by them not installing correctly. They refused to take accountability. First it was a whole transmission repair after they refused to entertain my husband's request to see if it could be salvaged, then an axel and an oil pan, then brakes that were replaced after we told them not to touch them, then a faulty wire that they probably caused. My husband had to go down to demand to see the replaced parts because this was getting so out of hand. When I finally got my car back, it was flashing a dangerously low fuel warning and smelled of cigarettes. I understand transmissions are not a quick or easy repair, but the shady behavior and games they played with us were unprofessional to say the least. And after a bill that drained our savings I now have to schedule with our usual mechanic to see what else may have been tampered with out of spite. Overall, please avoid.
