His work has always been superb, but I just had an extraordinary experience with him that I thought worth sharing. Three weeks ago, I shipped John a late 1967 Type D three synchro overdrive gearbox for my 1967 MGB roadster. At John's suggestion, I also shipped him my car's original non-overdrive three synchro gearbox for parts. The gearboxes took a week to arrive at John's shop by UPS. Within two days, John had disassembled both gearboxes, diagnosed the faults in the overdrive gearbox, determined which parts he could use out of the parts gearbox and which parts he would have to provide, and sent me a detailed written estimate for my approval. The parts gearbox saved time and money. John promised a four week turnaround. John emailed me last Friday that he had finished rebuilding the overdrive gearbox and was leak testing it over the weekend. It has been shipped to me by truck freight - a two and a half week turnaround. John's final bill was less than his estimate. In addition, John gave what I consider a generous a credit for the remainder of the parts gearbox that he did not use in my build. I recommend John and Quantum Mechanics without reservation.

Absolutely blown away by the care that has been put into my car. I have a Nissan rogue (a terrible…read moredecision on a car) and I bought it only 8 months ago. The transmission blew. I heard phenomenal things about this shop and I live about 22 mins away but I chose to come here. He talked to my father one on one for a period of time about the quality of the car and the experience he has with it. He also took the time for my dad to understand this new kind of transmission in these car. The CVT. A new transmission was ordered before I brought the SUV in. He did the job within a 3 day period. I paid after I was satisfied not before like some jobs. Now nissan sold me a bad remanufactered transmission and Rob took the time and care to bring it to nissan and discuss the issues and make sure they took ownership for selling a transmission with bad parts. He wants to make sure that I am satisfied knowing I am unemployed and that this was an astronomical unforseen unfortunately expense. I would 200% suggest coming here. My father is a tough cookie to sell. And he has been doing auto Mechanic work for years. He said Rob is a stand up man, does good business, and honors his word good old fashioned mechanic. not happy with the service here at all!…read more phones are never answered when you call - truck was brought in and took an entire week... $2,200 later, we get the truck back Friday afternoon and it had to be brought back SATURDAY MORNING for the same issue that was supposed to have been fixed. Doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency to get these vehicles out in a timely fashion... and as of Monday evening, no idea when the truck will be ready. not happy at all
