I came here to fix my car or so I thought I did, I brought my car early morning around 8 right when it opens , It took hours for them to diagnose my car so I went in there and let them know what was wrong with my car to speed up the process. They still went ahead and diagnosed my car instead of listening to me just to tell me what I already knew was wrong with my car. It was 5 o'clock in the evening when they were closed I got a message on my phone asking if I wanted to pay on the phone and they'll leave my keys outside. Come to find out they didn't fix anything because they didn't have any parts and they were super backed up with cars. why would they take more than they can handle ? Weird Looks like they were just playing with my car and my time just for them to charge me nearly $300 for a service that wasn't even made. This place is horrible. I don't recommend it super overpriced. Slow and the communication is horrible and the price was terrible!!!!!!!!! I will never be coming here ever again thank you very much. read more

Friendly, fast and reasonably priced. I came here for emissions testing a few weeks ago and decided to sign up for special email offers. I saw a great deal for an oil change and full multi point inspection at $15, so I jumped on it. Not only was the whole thing done in about 45 minutes, but for the first time, an auto shop wasn't trying to push me into getting a ton of work done on my vehicle. They gave me the inspection breakdown and let me decide if I wanted any work done. They could have easily tried to talk me into thousands of dollars of work (like other places have), but they didn't. Based on their customer service and advertised prices, I would highly consider coming here for car work in the future. read more

Mezzio's is THE ONLY auto repair shop I trust with my vehicle. Not only is the staff the friendliest and the most trustworthy but they will also work with you and for you in any way you need. The provide a ride home and a pick up if needed. They also provide a rental vehicle if they need to work on the car for more than day or two. Excellent mechanic service, knowledgeable employees and fair if not great pricing. And I check comparable rates with area places on all my work done. They're always at or below the going rates. Very pricey place. They seem like they charge double the normal price for parts. One wheel bearing for $170 in parts? They seem more upscale than competing places but it's not worth the difference in cost. The only positive was the service was quick. I'll be shopping around for a more honest place. The service they give you is pricey. They overprice the ASE Certification that they say they have. I've been there a few times and they don't get it right the first time enough for my like. I've had body shop work done that has had issues. One time I had an air conditioning problem and they said all was fixed. Well it wasn't and they didn't honor to fix it right. I ended up going to the dealer. My pet peeve is that I expect your service to be right first time every time. I pay you enough. When you don't stand by your service, then I don't stand by you. Get it right! Then I might come back. $100 an hour.... I expect excellence... nothing less. read more

They got what you need. I had an emission test the first time I came here. The people were nice and their bays were busy. When I needed a small service call under the hood, they took care of it. A year or so later, I got my front quarter panel hooked on a tree branch and "ripped" off the panel, bumper, wiper washer pump. Mezzio's took it in and made it whole again. I took my car in for emissions testing and I asked the mechanic to also check the oil. I went to the counter when he brought my keys in and as he handed my keys to the woman behind the counter he told me I had NO oil in my car. I asked if he could add some and he said he couldn't just start putting oil in my car and I would have to talk to the woman. She was taking to her coworker and put my keys and my paper on the counter without ever saying a word or even looking at me. Extremely rude. I won't ever go there again for anything! read more

I ldrive by Mezzio's every day driving to work. I thought a garage closer to my daily route woule be more convenient, so I scheduled an oil change to check them out. The man behind the counter had little to no interest in helping me and left me standing there. Finally, he took my name and keys and left me standing there. The oil change took much longer than they told me. I actually had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my oil to be delivered to them. I realized while I was waiting that there was only one other car there for service. A few came in for emissions testing. Needless to say, I will stay with my regular garage even though I have to drive out of my way to get there. read more

I had a set of winter tires installed at this place. After it was complete and paid for, the service rep. recommended I get my battery changed some time in the near future since it was on the low side. I said "Ok, thanks, I'll do that soon." I then get in my car and it lags a bit before it starts. "Hm, weird." (should've been a red flag but I wasn't thinking clearly). I go down the same road for less than a mile and pull into Walmart. I do some shopping, come back to the car and it doesn't start. Battery is completely dead. I call up Mezzio and I get a different service rep. and he said he can't do anything to help me (like give me a jump) even though I'm right down the road. I guess I understand that they don't want to send employees off site due to liability reasons or something, but I just felt let down. I'm not a car expert, but it just seemed so bizarre my battery immediately dies after the rep. "recommended" that I get it changed soon. If it was that low, shouldn't you have told me to get it replaced before leaving the shop? Also I had my oil changed recently from the dealership and my battery health was fine when I had them check it. I get this inclination that while they were installing the tires and calibrating the new tpms sensors, their tech somehow just drained most of the battery by accident. Maybe I'm being unfair to them and I was just extremely unlucky. Maybe I'm just a dope and don't understand how car batteries work. Or maybe they screwed up. I don't know, it just left me with a bad feeling about the place. I then get a letter a month later letting me know the "recommended" services I should bring my car in for. As far as an emissions testing center goes, this is a quick and reliant choice. I am able to walk right in and have no issues with payment or getting out quick. They handle everyone on a first come first serve basis unless an appointment was scheduled ahead of time. This is the fairest way and I never have to wait long when I am in a hurry to get it done. When it comes to maintenance work, I wouldn't be coming back here. I have had a difficult time with a check engine light on one of my vehicles and had to bring it back twice before I finally called it quits that Mezzio was not capable of fixing it. The car would just stutter worse and worse each week after having it fixed and the price was not even reasonable after checking parts and labor prices online for Naugatuck. They also wanted to charge me separate times for the same issue stating that it has to be a new problem. They were quite timely when it came to my problems and helpful in explaining the situation but I cannot get past the price and the inexperience of fixing the stuttering engine. read more

After making an online appointment which was confirmed by them via email, I left work early to get to the shop. When I came in I was greeted in an unfriendly manner, like I was bothering them on a Friday afternoon. I told them I had an appointment and they all looked at me like I was crazy. No one knew anything about it and I was told they could not even talk to me now. I was totally turned off by the whole staff. I used its service years ago. All I needed was to have two tires installed, but the serviceman went on to check my oil and coolant, the purpose of which was to push for more services, but the stupid serviceman did not lock my radiator cap back in place. A couple of days later I drove to Danbury to work, and the engine overheated. Messio's rejected all responsibilities. I had to spend over $1500 for the engine repair. Just wanted to extend a huge and very heartfelt "thank you" to Chuck and all his associates at Mezzio Auto & Body Repair for going the "extra mile" for my daughter Emily. We live in California but needed a certified auto repair facility in Connecticut we could trust to do a thorough inspection on a used Jeep Liberty she was buying back there, especially since it had a myriad of mechanical issues which needed addressing. Chuck certainly gave her parents great peace of mind knowing there was someone honest we could rely on and who would insure the vehicle was operating as safely as could be expected. It turned out to be quite an adventure, requiring three separate trips back to Mezzio's (the second and third of which were free of charge) to follow-up on the problems the dealer was not fixing properly. I sincerely appreciate all the effort the folks at Mezzio's put into it. My only regret is we don't live closer so as to become regular repeat customers and take advantage of the excellent services on all our other vehicles . . . not to mention the "customer first" attitude of these nice people! read more
