Go to Town Fair Tire for anything tire related. I went there because I had a flat tire and the lady said I had to get a tire just because I drove on a semi flat tire. They didn't even go outside to go look at my car. They supposedly ordered me a tire and told me that they'd call me when the tire came in. Well it never did yet... never got the phone call. Went to town fair tire the next day and got a patch for $4... a lot better than $200 for a brand new tire. Everyone working there was just too lazy to do their job. read more

I brought my car in on an appointment because Shakers on Straits Turnpike, in Middlebury was so backed up. Shakers Quick Lane in Naugatuck didn't even look at it for 5 days. Meanwhile I'm the only one making calls, no one is calling me with the status or updates. Then on the fifth day, the mechanic looked at the job and started it only to find out another part was needed, waiting two days for that to come in now. It's funny because the car had a recall repair done earlier this year at Shakers Straits Turnpike on the same part and what, no one could tell it had other problems?! I just bought the car 8 months ago. Not happy with Shakers Mechanics or their Poor response to customers. read more

have never been so disrespected by an employee at a front desk in my life. The woman at the front desk told me that I couldn't pay ahead and come back in an hour for my appointment. Also, she said your service is NOT by appointment which i found out from your website that I CAN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. She cursed at me and was incredibly NASTY AND DISRESPECTFUL! Both my husband and I take our vehicles her for routine oil changes. Last time I was in they informed me that I would need 2 new tires. So yesterday I went in to have my tires replaced and my oil changed. I've never had a problem with service or them over charging for unnecessary repairs or suggestions. The receptionist is wonderful and pleasant and has great knowledge and communication with the mechanics in the garage. I will continue to come here. Keep up the great work! read more

I have been bringing my Ford vehicles to shakers Quick Lane Shakers for years now, even back when it was Ford Quality Care Service. As a long time regular customer, they treat me like an old friend. What is unique about this facility is the catwalk which allows you to walk out into the shop and observe the technicians as they are working on your car. All the techs are happy to talk with you and answer questions. The counter representative, Marnie, is a sweetheart. The quality of service is top-notch and I will continue to trust these professionals to the care of my vehicles. The BEST!! :) read more

I took my car in on 9-24-20 to have four tires put on, and an alignment. I dropped the car off at 7:30 AM and they called me at 4:00 pm and said something about how they couldn't do the alignment but the car was ready. I get there 20 minutes after the call and the cars still on the lift. I talked to the technician and they all made a big deal about how they couldn't get the tie rod jam nut tight again. They also said the car was not safe to be driven far. Ok, so you leave me with a car that in your own words is unsafe, and couldn't tighten what they loosened. I drive the car to my mechanic because what other choice did I have since they couldn't fix it. Not only was he able to tighten the jam nut fairly easily but he also said they left the inner tie rod almost completely backed out from the outer tie rod, and also said it was only a couple turns from totally FALLING OUT. Mind you my mechanic fixed what was so hard for them to do, in his driveway ,with a floor jack. Extremely disappointed with this experience, and would recommend you leave your car with a shop who doesn't let customers leave with unsafe cars. read more

Walked into Shakers Quick Lane for an Oil Change. The girl working the counter was very short with me when I asked for an oil change. She told me it would be at least a 3 hour wait. I said I would come back later. She told me not to come back but to call in 3 hours to see if they were able to do it today. So much for no appointments needed and definitely not QUICK! Maybe they should change the name ! I took her advice and left but will not be back. Wonder if the owners are aware of the way customers are treated at the counter. read more

I took my car there because it was a Mercury Sable, figuring they know this vehicle, which I purchased at Shakers in 2004. (4th car my family purchased from Shakers, figured I'd get respected at this garage, wrong)The check engine light was on, I asked them to correct that failure, and also showed them that my exhaust sensor had burned up. They replaced the exhaust sensor for $425.00, and turned off the check engine light. I didn't even get up the road across the street from the garage and the check engine light was back on, 3 miles later when I got home, the sensor had already burned up. I called the next day and told them they fixed absolutely nothing for $425.00. They told me to bring it back for a diagnostic check to see why, I asked them, why didn't you figure out "why" before you replaced the sensor, they said because you didn't ask for a "diagnostic checkup", I said, "I have to ask you to figure out what is wrong with my car before you fix it????" isnt that why you take your car to a garage?????, anyone with any sense would find out why it burned up in the first place, that is why you advertise you repair cars. I told them they owe me a new sensor, the girl agreed, and said she would claim it and get me a new one, they did not, They told me they cannot fix the sensor for free, it will be another $425.00, and that your exhaust is clogged, and you need to spend $2,000.00 on new exhaust system, plus pay to have the sensor replaced again. I spent the $2450.00 and drove the car for 2 days, and the check engine light is back on. The car is running like crap, and hesitates now when you try to accelerate, didnt anyone test drive the freakin car??? I drove it less than a mile from the garage and knew it was still not running correctly??? This is clearly NOT the place to get professional car repairs made, they are amateurs at best, money grabbers at worst, and are clearly only interested in making money, not helping you. They even told me one of the catalytic converters didn't need replacing, but "since they were in there" they replaced them both, I guess they figured it wasn't their extra $600.00, why worry. I will never go back or recommend this garage, they are not in the people person business, they are not interested in helping the community, they only want to line their pockets with money, typical garage ripoff artists. The lady at the front desk is very funny, helpful, and sweet. I always get my oil changed here, because it is cheap and the service is awesome. The inspections are very detailed, and they take the time to explain their findings, but never pressure you into servicing more. They simply let you know what's up, but take "no" as an answer right away. No appointments necessary (or even possible for oil changes, which can be a downside to some). Sometimes you're in and out, sometimes you're waiting for a few hours... it just depends where you happen to fall in line. read more

Awesome people, awesome service very quickly at a very reasonable price. This place was recommended by someone at work. When I arrived I saw quite a few state police cruisers, so I felt it was a place you could trust! It was! They also treat women with respect [which I did not find at the other place on Route 63 (which also lied to my face and charged a ridiculous price, not mentioning any names, ya know, the "M" place).
