We stopped here for lunch on the way to Asheville. I didn't have any wine myself, since I was driving, but my husband and sister-in-law really loved their wines! I'll have to try some next time. The food was AMAZING. I got the roasted salmon and it is seriously one of my top fav dishes. The sauce was delicious and the fish itself was cooked perfectly. I would drive all the way from where we live in Greensboro to get that. Our server was great; very attentive and helpful! Can't wait to visit again.

My first visit since this winery changed owners. The new owners who own JoLo winery have acquired this property recently and have really Bougied the inside and outside up. When you walk in you see 2 wine tasting areas beautifully set and backlit bottles lining the walls. This is a bright, clean and inviting space complete w a beautiful chandelier over head. Outside are several areas complete w beverage and food service in their own intimate settings. I would say there is one area that would be perfect for weddings w a backdrop of grape vines expanding for acres front and back w a beautiful view for a sunset. I brought my friends for an early October brunch that I reserved w the friendly staff member who answered the phone. Note that you can make your own reservations on Open Table as well. I requested seating on the covered veranda w fireplace and overlooking the grape vines. It was a beautiful day out w temps around 77 degs. Perfect! Management had no problem w hosting my large party of guests for brunch. Very accommodating. The only cons were that they told me they only served water and their wines. Odd on its own for various reasons but I could order a Mimosa if I liked. Huh? Also come w your credit card or lots of cash as the menu has some high end prices even on Brunch Menu. My eggs Benedict was $21 and I received 2 toasts w salmon, perfectly cooked egg and Hollandaise on top and some crispy square potatoes on the side. The brunch menu also had caviar, if you wanted to splurge, only $170.00. Not quite in my budget at that time. The main lunch menu had more items friendly to my wallet. The restaurant called Europa also has dinner which would be a very romantic experience what with the lights, chandelier and dining areas or a nice place for a unique event or to bring business acquaintances for dining inside or out. It was a wonderful experience. Next time I will come to their wine-tasting area to taste their current selections. It would be nice to experience a nice drive in the Mocksville countryside and try some of their other wines.

I had the most exciting weekend! This weekend I got the chance to visit some amazing vineyards and wineries. It started off with visiting Rayson Winery & Vineyards with Bistro Europa Restaurant in Mocksville, NC. I was greeted and welcomed with a tasting with Coleman. This young lady is so knowledgeable and professional in every aspect when it comes to wine! She explained how it got started, how they cultivated the grapes and overcoming obstacles that was preventing the wine production etc. This vineyard has so much history that any wine lover would love to hear, and Coleman is definitely that someone who could share the story. The wines I sampled all had unique tastes. One of my favorite was Sweet Vermouth Blanc. This is a dessert white wine that has varietals of Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay. The ambiance at this location was elegant and filled with sophistication. The customer service from everyone was great and admirable. The manager who made all this possible was Liz, who is the manager of Digital and Social for JOLO BRANDS. She allowed me to have one of the most exceptional experiences ever! I am a wine lover and I absolutely love sampling and learning the ins and out of the wine industry so having these moments were magical! Head over and check them out. Great wines and great vibes all in one!!

First time visiting Rayson Vineyards after hearing so much about it! I would absolutely love to come back soon. To start, we had yoga on the lawn with a gorgeous view of the vineyards with Breathe Yoga Studio. After, we were seated outside in the covered dining area. The ambiance is so beautiful! With chandeliers, roses, and a gorgeous view, it was a lovely spot for brunch. The table started with a round of mimosas and I have to say, we all couldn't get over how cool their glasses were. I ordered the Italiano Flatbread and WOW. I have to say, it was easily the best flatbread I've ever tried. I definitely need to come back for a wine tasting!

I'm a wine snob and decided to do a girls trip. This is a newer winery/vineyard in the area. Upon arriving on the grounds, there are rows and rows of grapes and labeled with what kind of grape it is, thought that was cool and informative. Upon entering we were greeted by Skylar and he was our tasting guide. We tasted several wines and even got a sample of the port wine. All of the wines are superb!!! I'm serious!!!!! Skylar was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and excited about his job which made the experience even more enjoyable!!! Skylar is definitely an asset to this business!!! After our tasting we decided to eat at the bistro. It was very yummy! We throughly enjoyed ourselves here. Will definitely be coming back!!! Thank you!!!!

Always a place to relax, and have a good experience either doing a wine tasting or just getting a wine and enjoying the view. Food is delicious, love the seafood options they have. And their staff is always very friendly and welcoming. A nice place to spend your afternoon, day, and just soak in the good vibes.

I visited this place for a birthday get together of around 15 people. My husband and I were the first ones in the group to get there around 11 am on a Saturday. I absolutely LOVED the service, from the moment we walked in to when we left. Our server was Carry, she was polite, attentive, and professional, along with the rest of the staff that made sure we were all well taken cared of. The food was good but on the salty side, which our grandparents appreciated. We purchased a bottle of Élevage Select, and we truly enjoyed it! We also tried a glass of the Cabernet but it was sweet, which seemed odd to us. I can't wait to come back, just my husband and I for a date, to enjoy the summer breeze, the butterflies flying around, and the beautiful landscape.

The restaurant is located at Rayson Vineyard. Currently only outside seating as inside dining still being worked on. This is the second week being opened. Staff is fantastic. Service was spot on. Menu had an interesting mix. The food we had today was just delicious. The lamb and filet were preapared perfectly. The wines were a perfect complement to the meal. Definitely will be back.

My husband and I were looking for a new date idea and came across this winery. We booked a tasting and a lunch reservation. We like that it was not too far from Winston Salem but felt like we were somewhere else. Levi was our wine tasting host. We really enjoyed how he led the tasting and how passionate he is about wine. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the wines we tasted. The tasting area is beautiful. I will definitely be back since they are continuing to improve the winery and produce more wines.

Rayson Vineyards is the new name for Raylen, which was one of the Crown Jewels of NC wine. The owners of Raylen sold the property and inventory to JW Ray and family of JOLO fame, and they've taken over with their usual fantastic wine and customer service. Currently, they offer one Rayson wine (a collaborative JOLO and Raylen Project --Petit Verdot) which is very JW. It's juicy, berry forward, and high in alcohol. The other wines are still Raylen label--and the price hikes over the prior regime may deter some. However, expect the wines to continue to improve and sell out. They're open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 to 7 PM, and they serve food Thursday-Sunday.

Steak Frites.

Great afternoon at Rayson vineyard. The wine is good. The food was outstanding (steak frites and crab stuffed haddock). The service was amazing. These owners are totally engaged! Beautiful views.

The tasting room looks like a barn and is very welcoming inside. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The warm weather had me wanting a white wine with my lunch. I chose their pinot gris. It has a crisp taste with notes of citrus. On my first visit I had a flight of all their offerings. My favorites are the Sweet Pea white blend and the Franc the Tank red blend. The old tobacco barn across from the tasting room offers another space to hang out and enjoy the view. There is also an accommodation below that makes for a unique holiday experience.

After doing a bit of online research, we learned the former owners sold the property across the street to Incendiary Brewery, which ultimately opened their second location in 2022. This location has a long history dating back to the early 1970s, when it was the first winery in the state to grow and produce European grape varietals, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Westbend Winery made its mark in North Carolina as a pioneer in the wine industry that now includes over 130 wineries and continues to grow. The original Hauser House was built in 1850, renovated in 2016 and is where the current Westbend restaurant is located. Gone are the winery days, the focus is on the restaurant, bar and music venue space. Last weekend was the beginning of their soft opening, so we had to stop in. We arrived shortly after 4pm, we were happy to see there was a collection of cars in the parking lot area. We loved the look and feel of the property from a distance but were even more impressed with it as we began looking around. The building itself looks very cool and at least somewhat original. There is also a large covered outdoor space that could easily accommodate large groups of people. There were also several picnic tables arranged in the grass if you prefer. We decided to enter the restaurant area which is now called Graze Grill. We were immediately greeted by a young man who told us we could sit anywhere. We were looking for an outdoor space on the back deck that would allow us to sit in the shade while listening to the music. We were able to grab the last table and we were brought menus and our drink orders were taken. The menu itself was nice, it offered a selection of appetizers, entrees, salads, and desserts. From flatbread pizza and buffalo chicken wraps to cheeseburgers and loaded cheese fries. There are also kid-friendly food options as well. My wife chose the WB House Salad and added grilled chicken and I decided on a flatbread pizza which I was able to choose the various toppings. The music was also entertaining and the space was very relaxing and comfortable. We were checked on throughout our visit and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. We also noticed their cool Westbend shirts, which my wife especially liked because they include "Lewisville, NC". The same young man offered to bring a shirt to the table for my wife to look at. She was happy with the texture and quality and decided she had to have one. He also told us they have additional swag ordered. We were really impressed with our first experience here and can't wait to come back as well as bring friends and family here when we have visitors. A great addition to the Lewisville area and Westbend absolutely compliments the other wineries and brewery in the area. We learned they are currently finalizing their operating hours and are currently open on Saturday's and Sunday's. However, they plan to be open from Thursday through Sundays. Their grand opening is scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Wishing the new owners all of the very best!

I liked the Southern Tour blend and the Smokey Pearl blend, both were similar to the Meritage) but a little sweeter than I usually drink. It's a small space - a few tables inside and a few tables out - but don't let that or the line you are likely to encounter deter you. They crank out sandwiches quickly here. Said sandwiches include about two dozen hot and cold offerings as well as the ability to build your own. The meats are Boar's Head, but the desserts and soups are made fresh in-house. Check out the display case for salads and sides that might catch your eye. O'Brien's prides itself on its Reuben, and so I went with the "mini" version (a quarter rather than a half pound of meat) with a pickle for my first visit here. Ordering at the register was a breeze, and I was fortunate enough to snag one of the tables for dine-in. Though I was a bit skeptical that the Reuben would match the hype, it delivered. I don't know that it is without a doubt the best version I've had, but it is definitely up there. The grilled rye was nice and crisp, and I appreciated that they used both mustard and Russian dressing. That, plus the meat, kraut, and melty cheese, made for a very satisfying bite. At $10, the sandwich proved a good value, too. Unpretentious and nostalgically comforting (for Northern transplants, at least), O'Brien's is a well-oiled sandwich-slinging machine. Though that Reuben will be hard to top, I look forward to giving one of their other offerings (maybe a Cuban, maybe a Spicy Italian) a try.
