PUTTING W-S ON THE COCKTAIL MAP. My husband and I live in Atlanta, but we have family in Winston, so we pop up here often. The first thing we ask is, "When are we going to EasyTalk?" The cocktails are always above-and-beyond great, and the owners and staff feel like friends. Friends who can make drinks none of your other friends can make. Friends that have cozy corners for your group. Friends that have a speakeasy room in the back of their house. We've also taken three of their cocktail classes--mostly with David, but Matt is awesome, too. They should take their act on the road! Those classes are amazing. You learn techniques you can use at home, sure, but you also get to experience the way these masters create bespoke ingredients. Those ingredients! So many things you can't get in a standard bar. Spicy, bitter, clean... Something unique for every palate. We just went there again last weekend, and we had another great time. (If you go soon, try the 4th and Marshall before they change it out!) At usual, we intended to stay a short time and then go to dinner but ended up staying much longer and having some of those quirky EasyTalk snacks. Note to owners: Can you open a bar in Atlanta?

This place is so cute and low-key. The bartender was knowledgeable. The well liquors are top notch so you can't go wrong. There is a bar in the back which is a speakeasy. The atmosphere is great for a night out with friends or for a date night. This is near East of Texas if you get hungry. I'll definitely be back.

I was impressed with the location and service of this establishment. Very much a speakeasy bar with knowledgeable bartenders. The way they offer their drinks is unique and I encourage everyone to visit to understand what that means!

Well this place was cozy and gave the feel of a hole-in-the-wall spot that's a gem to find, and I loved it! Though it wasn't actually a hole in the wall place, it did have that close but comfortable and somehow intimate feeling to it. And is a lot bigger on the inside than you would expect looking at it from the outside. The dim lighting, and the comfortable seating throughout really made the place a perfect spot to enjoy a long conversation with unique and delicious drinks. During our visit, I enjoyed two beverages - the non-alcoholic five spicy coconuts (chai) and the alcoholic hot foxy. Both drinks were absolutely wonderful! Also, the bartenders were just the most pleasant guys who could indulge in intellectual conversation while mixing up a great drink. When we arrived, they had fresh focaccia bread from a local partner bakery place (I don't remember the specifics of the pastry partnership haha) but the bread was amazing! I would definitely recommend this, if you're looking to enjoy an intimate gathering with a small group of friends or a friend, or enjoy a date. Also, during the warmer season, there is a walk up window where people with dogs and those sitting outside can order drinks without having to come inside.

This has to be the cutest little cocktail bar in Winston Salem. Love the ambiance and warm cozy feel. The selection of cocktails and Mock-tails were unique and delicious. The Ginger fox was as my choice- recommended by the bartender - And it was the right one. I think it was actually healthy too. Add Turmeric=healthy!! Right??? We will be back Easytalk...often!

Reminiscent of the owners travels to SE Asia, Easytalk had us at "Hello." Maps, market goodies, and a cool coffee siphon maker are some of the influences that can be seen from their travels. From the lighting and decor to the eclectic music, comfortable seating areas, and plants lining the walls, this neighborhood bar and market gives off cozy cafe, cocktail lounge and speakeasy vibes. Creative cocktail menu, but bartenders also love getting to know what you like and mixing you something special! Drinks aren't pictured here, but trust that they were creatively made and equally delicious! The Talk bar, which is the speakeasy portion, opens after 5pm. We were able to snap some photos, but they weren't open yet, so we will definitely be back to check that out!

Stopped by to check out Easytalk during a trip home with a few friends. Very cool and lovely place for a date night or to catch up with friends. I had a really good time. Pleasantly surprised to see such a cool vibe in the city. Here are my takeaways: Environment From the outside you wouldn't think this intimate, chill and laid back spot existed. The dim lighting, colorful and creative art and seating areas give this place a ton of personality. When you walk in there is kind of like a cafe area with a few seats and a bar area. You can then walk down a hallway with more seating with sofas and areas for larger parties and then there is a really nice intimate patio in the back - not terribly big but enough for a small party. And then you have the "private bar" in the back meant for a smaller parties and a more intimate customized experience. I really loved the ambiance and the vibe. Service Most of my service happened in the "talk" portion of the bar/lounge. They seemed to have split up the space into two sections: the easy area where you can grab a drink at the bar from the selection they have on the menu or you can go to the "talk" are which is a more intimate and customized area whether they have a selection of games or options you can choose from to eventually get to your drink. One being rolling the dice, another being having a conversation with the bartender about what type of drink you are looking for and they make something up on the spot. This was really fun for our group and allowed for more conversation and more of an experience. The bartender was great and knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. They accommodated our party which actually was larger than they usually would allow - that was really nice of them to do. Food and Drinks I didn't try any food - i'm actually not sure if they had any food. The main mission was the drinks. As explained earlier most of my experience was in the "talk" section of the bar - an intimate space in the back with it's on bar for small groups of people to experience. I think they prefer groups of 4 or smaller in that space. while there you can choose from a few different activities to find the drink for you. I rolled the dice for one drink and then talked to the bartender to give him an idea of what I would like and he made a drink based on our conversation. Both drinks were really good, flavorful and strong. Love them and will definitely be back for more. The overall experience was great. Overall Overall had a great experience here. Loved the environment, loved the drinks. If you're looking for a date night or a place to catch up with friends this is a wonderful place to go. I will definitely be back.

This review is mostly our experience with the 10 seat bar in the back where the bartender chats with you and makes a drink based on your preference. What a wonderful experience with our bartender Calvin who was clearly knowledgeable about his job. There are a few options - such as rolling dice or talking to said bartender about preferences and they whip you up a drink. Calvin not only made us beautiful drinks that matched all 3 of us perfectly (think like a live personality quiz and you are presented with a personalized drink), but he engaged us in such wonderful conversation for a the couple hours or so we were there. So grateful to have this quiet little neighborhood spot with a subtle atmosphere that's not too intimidating and makes you feel comfy , relaxed and at home.

Finally made it to the new location of the old Ginger fox! I was here taking a class on a Sunday afternoon . Check out their website for future classes. I love their new location as there is parking. Always a good thing downtown, loved the space inside , it is small, but cozy and there are 2 parts, the easy bar as you enter, offers coffee during the day, the bar part offers your Goto cocktails With basic liquors, and wine. A little further down the hall is the talk bar, where they make you drinks according to what you like basically. I loved the variety of their bar, stuff you don't find everywhere, plus they blend their own stuff too. The talk bar is for the cocktail thinker and the ones who are into drinks with a twist. Can't wait to come back to this bar! David the owner ran the class, you get to make a fun cocktail and ask questions, and meet people. David is super knowledgeable about all things alcohol! Always interesting to hear someone who knows their stuff talk . He keeps it fun and the drink you make you get the recipe to go. We also got a mini bottle of the housemade cordial used in the cocktail to go. I would definitely do another class here. Also look forward to getting back here just for drinks....cool pockets of spaces, and a little patio outside . I wouldn't come with a big group would be hard to get a space unless outside. But a cool spot for couples or girls night. Nice cool addition to our thriving bar scene.

The wall menu on entry for the "easy" side.

Disappointing. I was a huge fan of Ginger Fox. This spot from the same creators misses the mark for me. The space is uncomfortable and you can easily hear other group conversations. I really don't care to hear about the sleeping habits of Joe and his family. I would love to hear a bit more music fill the space but still allow for conversation. The drink was boring. If paying that much I want excitement. It tasted like plain whisky when it was supposed to have cacao and maple syrup additions. The service was standard. Nothing to write home about.

    Fun seating areas!

Easily my favorite place in Winston to get a drink! This hidden gem has the most knowledgeable bartenders and cozy vibes. Perfect for a date or catching up with f

From the owners of Ginger fox - Easytalk is the new cocktail bar in town. The space has two concepts - easy and talk. The front space is easy - you walk in and order straight off a menu. All the drinks are made in house and they are top notch and delicious. They have coffee at the start of the day and coffee cocktails and then switch to cocktails only later in the day. They have an array of unique international snacks. When you get to the back you enter the talk space where you talk with the bartender and they will come up with a unique drink of their choice. The space has the best vibes. They can make most of their drinks a Mocktail version as well! Just ask. I got the hot grill summer and the Bermuda run guy Fieri in mocktails and they were both divine.

Easytalk is far and away the best cocktail bar in Winston! The bartenders are knowledgeable and can create all the classics or they have a constantly rotating menu with fun twists. Always fresh ingredients. But the best kept secret is the talk bar, where you get a cocktail made just for you.

From the minute we walked in, we were greeted promptly and seated at our reservation time. They even had handbag clips to put on the edge of the table so we didn't have to put our purses on the floor - loved that! Everything we ordered tasted so good! We got the Rice Paper Tacos as appetizers. They came out looking like art on a plate and they were very gracious to tell us that there's not a wrong way to eat it. I got the Korean BBQ Beef as my entree and it hit the spot! My friend got the Modern Tuna Nicoise as her entree and it looked too pretty to eat, but she said it was delicious! For dessert we got the Passion Fruit Panna Cotta. It was the best way to end the night. We enjoyed our meals and the service was top-notch! Ambiance was nice-we sat in the outdoor area and they had a nice simple table display with a small table lamp that I was intrigued by. I'd never seen one so small but what I liked about it was that it didn't take up space on the table. Usually, the displays take up more space than the food sometimes, so I appreciate the little details. If you've never been to Betty on Burke-you must! I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely come back. PS- they validate parking so you don't have to pay the 3rd party parking system in their lot- HUGE plus!

I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I was given a look that made me feel like I was wrong for asking for it. One of the patrons was nice enough to show me a basket with menus in it. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues.

The vibe fizzled out a bit after that, so we decided to head out. Overall, it could be fun little spot, we will check back later. If you're in the area and miss Hoots Brewery, definitely check out Bar Nola. I can only imagine how great their Mardi Gras party must be or Super Bowl day. It looks like the kind of venue where you could easily host a party with a live band--maybe they even rent it out for weddings or holiday events, though I'm not sure if it's officially part of the bar.
