Ray's. Was great, but Waste Management is absolutely awful!!! They are all about their extreme left politics--their website proudly pushes DEI--and doing away with jobs through automation. They keep adding more fees--my residential bill is now twice what it was when it was Ray's Trash. Waste Management is TERRIBLE and has a monopoly for my area. I HATE them. read more

They come out and pick up basically when they feel like it. Haven't seen them for two weeks. Garbage in the streets and all over the lawn, stacked up 8 feet high. No one in office to respond to calls, since being bought out by WM not sure anyone's actually still employed there. I bet someone calls when we stop paying them lol. read more

NO STARS. Drivers passed my house and failed to pick up my trash. Call three times on my scheduled day and was told that I was put on a list for what I thought was to have my trash picked up. Be aware that when you sign up with Ray's, you're signing a 5-year contract. On their website there is no way to cancel this service, and if you call, it'll be weeks before they get back with you. There's also no way to change your method of payment online, or if there is, it's hidden very well. They seem to think that there contract is pretty clear when you sign up, but I would never sign a five-year contract for trash pickup knowingly. read more

I came home today and my recycle trash wasn't picked up only half of it. The other half was still in the container. My reh trash can was in the road with the wheel broke off. I called them and spoke to Amy and she said they wouldn't give me a new trash can for over a week. She told me to call city of Franklin and complain. I did Sherry was so nice and said she would send an email to corporat. Maria called me and told me the same thing as Amy. She said I could walk to the road every time I have trash and put it in there. What a joke for their customer service and service in general. Ray's Trash Service misses our pickup at least one week a month. Customer service is practically non-existant. I have called repeatedly and told them. When I call, customer service (a term I use loosely) tells me they have a note on my account telling the driver "do not miss". Never a bill credit, and never send out someone to pick up, even though they tell me they are sending someone out. I would give less than one star if it was allowed. read more

This is one of the worst experiences with trash services I've ever had. They have driven their trucks off the driveway through my yard, leaving 4" ruts, consistently drive right by my property, or pull in and not dump my can, and/or leave it half full. I've had to call the company multiple times to get service correct. Yea, the office individuals have been somewhat helpful, but I shouldn't have to stand outside each week, and watch to make sure they take my trash as advertises and paid for. read more

Ray's is probably the worst trash service I've ever dealt with. Their employees constantly leave messes and pull things out of the dumpsters they don't feel like taking and often damage the dumpster enclosures. I had rays trash service for my business and they would never show up on Tuesday like they was supposed to they would use excuses like it's to wet then they came and picked up the dumpster and sent me a bill for $187.00 but they haven't emptied the dumpster for the last 3 months so what was I charged for they should pay me for storing thier dumpster worst company I ever delt with will never use them again they should be put out of business for leaving trash and not doing there job. read more

Frequently skips picking up recycling. No communication regarding missed collection. They only credit your account if you call and request this action. They have the ability to communicate via text when needed but have used that mode only once in the past three months while missing 4 of 6 recycling collections. Called and left message and have not recieved a return phone call after two weeks. Thank goodness I can fire them and go with a more reliable company. RAY'S/ WM consider yourselves FIRED! read more

I have weekly pickup service through Ray's, but this week I got a new bed, and need to dispose of the old mattress and headboard. I called, because they'll never pick it up if you don't call. Now they want $20 per item, and they will probably not pick up 1 item per day. I think that's a little ridiculous. read more

Per the City of Westfield on a call with their worthless employee, even if you do not use their service, "you will still be billed ongoing every quarter". Great job guys. 4 months, 4 months they couldn't find my house. Out of 16+ weeks they picked up on the scheduled day 3 times. Literally had to call every week with the exception of the 3 they picked up on time. Thankfully we have Republic now. read more

With so much going on in our country with lack of workers, etc., etc., I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the guy who went above and beyond to walk up to my garage to grab my trash and empty it for me. I heard them and was heading that way but he had gotten there first. It makes my heart happy to know there are still those that go out of there way to make someone's day! read more

HORRIBLE customer service! Good luck getting them to actually take all your trash and don't bother calling about it either. They will just argue with you on the phone and that's after you wait 10min for anyone to pick up. Prices keep going up and customer service keeps going down. We've been using Rays Trash for all 4.5 years of operating our restaurant. There were no problems with them until we moved to our newly renovated location. It's been 6+ months of issues from them. Since June, they consistently forget how to pick up our recycling (among other issues, but today I'm choosing to review them on this issue only) . Thankfully, our trash and recycling is in an enclosure, so that helps the overall "look" of our trash area. However, like we've experienced countless times in the past 6 months, they did not pick up our recycling last week, and possibly not the pervious week either. I called on Friday and the lady said there was nothing they could do about it that day. Then, she stated that because of Christmas, our pickup this week would be Wednesday. Well, Wednesday came and went, so today (Thursday) I called again. The customer service lady said she would try to get someone back out to our location today to pick up the missed recycling. According to my employee/manager, they came back sometime around 1pm today, so I went to check and, as you can see, they emptied two recycling cans, and the excess that they have not picked up in weeks, fell all over the place, so they couldn't put even the cans back in. Instead of completing the task, they left this mess you can see in my photos, and consequently left the bins out for all the world to see. To be clear, the bins were full due to lack of pickups by Rays, so boxes were piled on top of the bins, and when the bins were pulled out, the boxes fell. I pay for weekly service, however Rays seems to pick up the trash when ever they feel like it, don't think they will credit your acct for the weeks that don't get picked up trash bc they won't. They will claim the trash was not out on time, yet I have cameras on my property showing it goes out the night before, also shows them driving right passed my house. The driver sat in my driveway blaring his air horn twice, once as we were in plain sight walking toward the truck. I explained to the driver he was 100ft from a residential area and he said nothing and picked up his Ipad and started taking pictures. He also pulled across a sidewalk cracking it and destroying it over the next several months. I contacted the main office and all they can do is offer excuses for poor performance. I am a business owner and take pride in my property I don't need someone in a trash truck tearing it up each week. They charge me up front for their service and then decide what material they will take. I would be happy to pay more for someone who wants to offer good service with courteous people, RAYS is not that company! I have locked gates and no one is allowed on my property we have an arranged time when the pickup service should take place. Be careful folks, the drivers are taking pictures of everything you have on your property so when something gets stolen I would direct the police investigation to the folks at RAYS! read more

We have been using Ray's Trash Service for at least 30 years, with no missed pick-ups in all of that time. I usually check the website for holiday pick up, no problems other than slight delay for doing double work. I followed a truck in a hilly areal this week, and being unable to pass for lack of clear sight, I watched the young men work. They literally ran, even ran up to one home to get the trash since it wasn't at the curb. I smiled and waved, and they waved back. I'll remember to put ice water out the next time it is miserable. I don't know what Ray's pays their workers, but they are earning every penny, and never leave loose trash. I watched them pick up whatever dropped out of the trash bins as they pitched them into the back. Good job! read more

They said they would be running on regular schedule after 4th of July, but mine wasn't picked up on Wednesday. After emailing, Alexis Lucas says to leave it out, they will get it Thursday. I emailed again and was told to leave it out, they will get it Friday. Well it wasn't picked up Friday either. I emailed again and haven't heard back. The workers at the recycle center are very rude and have a short fuse. Not only were they gruff with me, I witnessed the female be verbally rude to the 3 people ahead of me at their ATM dispenser in the recycle building. She while cursing, she also belittled all 3 gentlemen because the machine was messed up. I dread having to dump my excess trash at their other facility next door and finding out how they react to customers. The only nice person there was the gentleman in the trailer at weigh station. The older guy that handled drop offs in the back was the 2nd worse one with an attitude. The two working the aluminum cans were not near as bad. But they all definitely didn't want to be there or maybe didn't want any customers. I wish there was a different recycle facility closer to go to. read more

This service is truly terrible. We requested a locking container for our warehouse. They delivered the locking container and assured us the keys would be in the "handles" the trucks use to pick up the dumpster. Unfortunately 2 months later....no keys. They admit the drivers aren't noting where they left the keys and we assured them that we've sent MULTIPLE people out to crawl all over this dumpster just to try and find these missing keys. Over 2 months we've wasted on phone calls and going without a dumpster. We don't have time to call them daily just to make them do their job. They want us to pay them for a dumpster we've never been able to use even though every agent admits it looks like no one is remembering to give us the keys. $253 bill for a dumpster we have never been able to open and we just have trash piled on our floor because we can't use the dumpster. These guys are a joke. They don't care about their customers. They are lazy. They have zero accountability or responsibility for their staff and they are downright dishonest in choosing to bill customers that were given containers that Ray's KNOWS they can't use. Avoid these jokers like the plague. They truly do not deserve your business or even to be in business. During a time when lots of small businesses are fighting to stay in business, these guys do not deserve to still have theirs. read more

I first called Rays Trash Services in Clayton Indiana and asked what was the current price of short steel because they do not post the current prices online like many other places and if the magnet was in operation to unload the trailer and was told the price and yes the magnet is working because the last time I went with a load of scrap metal, I ended up unloading close to #2500 of metal by hand so after vowing to myself never to do that again, I called ahead of time and was told yes, it is working so off I head over to Rays. Upon arriving within 30 minutes, I was told the magnet was not in operation and I explained I just called. The only answer I got from the young man was we have to unload it by hand. After unloading just over #2200 of metal by hand, he had the audacity to walk up to me and mark a deduction of #5 and I said what it that for, he replied it was because two pieces had a trailer light lens plastic still attached, they were literally 3" in diameter and a standard 1/16" or less thick and couldn't have weighed 5 ounces let alone five pounds. If they are that hard up for the dollar they made for deducting five pounds of weight and after saying the load had to be unloaded by hand, I think next time I will be heading to another scrap metal yard and would strongly advise if you are thinking of using this business, be prepared to unload whatever you have by hand and get deducted on weight for the minute smallest thing.
