    Owner is yelling foul languages & threatening me.

    Theft of my phone while at Ray's Transmission Service Center. On 9/25/23 at about 7:30 am I dropped off my car at Ray's Transmission shop on 959 Queen's St, Honolulu for a transmission oil change. I came back at about 8:30 am & it was not done so I came back again at about 9:15 am & they were finished. Hence, I have paid & drove off. While stopped at a traffic light I had opened & checked my middle compartment & found my portable flashlight & extra phone, Samsung Galaxy A71 5G missing. So I went back to Ray's Transmission & advised the owner, which he refused to listen & advised for me to go home & check. I drove home as I needed to check my dash cam camera facing inside the car with my computer. I got home & checked with my computer & saw that the worker leaned over to his right after test driving the car after finishing with the transmission oil change. I made a short copy of the video with my phone camera & went back to Ray's Transmission shop. The dash cam facing inside the car is showing as inverse so the workers left is actually the work's right. Once arriving at Ray's Transmission shop I went over to their small office & asked for my credit card that I had left after paying, which the lady gave it back. I then asked for the owner & once he came I had tried to explain that I have a video showing the worker leaning over to his right side where the middle compartment is at, but the owner refused to see the video nor listen & just kept on cutting me off by telling me that "No one here took anything from your car, go home." I was at least hoping to see their video camera or try & talk to the worker as I was keep trying to explain that my personal information was in that phone & that I am not concerned with the cost. But the owner kept refusing to listen & kept cutting me off. Hence, I got in my car & called for police so that I could make a police report for my documentation in case of a possible identity theft situation in the future. As the owner was passing by my car I again tried to explain to him that I have called police to file a police report to document this incident just in case of an identity theft, which he refused to listen & all of a sudden he started yelling out foul languages with foul words & threatening body languages as you can see in the still shots. The whole video is of the owner yelling out foul words & threatening languages with foul body simulations & threatening body languages. The following is just some that I could make out from my dash cam video: Me: All I wanted was to get the phone. Ray's Transmission owner: Beat it! Me: Don't be rude, come on. Ray's Transmission owner: Fuck you! Me: You are on camera. Ray's Transmission owner: You better get the fuck out of here, fuck you! (while motioning very threateningly) Me: Police have been called. (He then starts walking away) Ray's Transmission owner: Yells lots of foul words & threatening languages with body motions while walking back to me. As I am trying to back up my car to get out of the shop the owner of Ray's Transmission keeps yelling out foul languages & threats with body motions while coming towards me, which is when the police officers arrived & told him to move away & walked him away from me. The owner of Ray's Transmission have threatened me with foul languages & body motions, which the police officers have also noted on their report. Yet, the owner of Ray's Transmission have stated that he had simply asked me to leave on the police report, which is totally not true. The police have written otherwise on their report so it clearly shows that the owner of Ray's Transmission have made a false statement to the police officers. I am very disappointed with Ray's Transmission at 959 Queen's Street in Honolulu. The owner could have at least offered to show their video & also try & talk to the employee that was in my car, which he didn't. I was just asking for some support, but instead I received a bunch of foul language yelling & threats & also with body motions as shown on the video, which I am still not able to understand why the owner of Ray's Transmission behaved as such, so hysterically mad. I have already called in the IMEI #355181111159447 as stolen so the phone is worthless to anyone else. I was using it as a speedometer while driving & taking photos of my receipts for tax purpose instead of holding onto the hard copies, which I did not get to transfer it to my computer. I also had some other personal information in the phone, which I should have erased when I had upgraded.     Came here to get a diagnosis on my car due to transmission issues. As my car was kicking from time to time when it shifts gears. The work only took them about less than one hour to diagnose, explained to them I was at work so I'll come by and pick the car up later. Upon arriving I received the bill, only to find out the total cost of the so called labor came out to be 260+tax. Who charges 260 dollars to diagnose a car that took less than an hour, I dropped my car off at around 11:05 during my lunch and received a call at 11:55 explaining the resolution. If you're going to charge someone 260 at least disclose to them first that it will be approx 260, and ask them are you sure you want to do it. Not have them find out the cost at the time paying. And the front desk lady explain to me, we charge this high because people would go to their friends to do the work. Update: owner called in regards to this review, I am giving two stars more because of the honesty and the caring they have for their customers.

Now, you can honestly order almost anything you might need for a classic mustang, but most shops hear that you have a classic and they won't even look at it. My transmission (original) had a leak and was slipping. After calling numerous other shops, I found AllTrans. We were a little challenged in scheduling due to the Mapunapuna roads that flood (who wants to drive through that with their classic auto?) but once I was able to drop off my baby, all was well. The owner, Mike, wanted to take a look at her before I departed to ensure that it wasn't just a simple vacuum leak. Nope, tired old tranny that needed some TLC. Pricing seemed fair (my son is in the business on another island and felt pricing was reasonable, too) and communication was good as they performed a complete overhaul. When I finally headed down to pick her up after a little more than a week (I wasn't in a rush), wouldn't you know it but the neutral safety switch decided to die. I was able to order the part to ship to them directly and got a call that she was good to go the same day the part arrived. Mike had personally done the test drive to ensure that all was good and made sure I knew about some other items that he felt need to be addressed. Hopefully my baby will be good for another 50 years (LOL) but I won't hesitate to call AllTrans if I need any further work.

Gave me a very reasonable quote, I agreed. and they rebuilt and reinstalled my transmission in just under 2 weeks. She now shifts butter smooth like it just came from the factory.     Normally I'm not one to leave reviews, and this is actually my first time ever posting one on Yelp…read more-- but I HAD to share our experience because integrity like this is rare nowadays. My husband and I had been dealing with a persistent noise during deceleration in our 2011 Toyota Camry for over a year. We took it to several shops, spent a few thousand dollars fixing "issues" that turned out to be unrelated, and still had the same problem. We eventually figured out it was coming from the transmission -- yikes! We went to another transmission shop (which I won't name), and after multiple visits and some shady back-and-forth, they quoted us $9,500 for a replacement transmission and wanted $6,000 down just to order it. Weeks later, they claimed the transmission was "lost in shipping" and offered to rebuild it for nearly the same price. Something just didn't sit right with us. That's when I decided to call around, and Certified Transmission Differential was the first shop that actually answered. I spoke directly with the owner, Tracy, and explained everything. Even after hearing what I was quoted elsewhere, he stayed honest -- no upselling, no games. He quoted me $4,500 for the rebuild, less than half of what I was about to pay! From start to finish, Tracy went above and beyond. He opened early so we could drop the car off before work, kept us informed every step of the way, and even showed my husband the damaged parts he replaced. He was incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward, and fair -- even buying another transmission just to get a rare part without charging us extra. In a world where so many businesses overcharge or take advantage of people, Tracy and his team restored our faith in what honest work looks like. Our Camry drives beautifully now, and we finally feel peace of mind knowing the job was done right. If you're looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and fair mechanic, go to Certified Transmission Differential.     I have known Loc since 2017 when I found him on Craigslist. He fixed my 2004 Toyota Corolla and it…read morewas impressive how he disassembled the engine in my garage and repaired everything that needed to be fix. I was so happy for the good job he did that I asked him to fix everything on my 2002 Ford Windstar. I have recommended him to all my friends who were also happy with the repairs he did on their vehicles. Loc can fixed almost anything and he is very professional and very reasonable. He has the lowest prices compared to other shops. He is honest, knowledgeable, and always goes straight to the problem and fixes it fast! Most jobs were done the same day. Here is a list of the jobs he has done on both of my cars: changed the gasket in-take manifold, rotor, disk brake pads, brake caliper, CV joint boot kit, driver front axle, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, air filter, and A/C filter; changed transmission oil & AT Filter Kit. Placed new starter & new alternator in both of my cars. He replaced OESpectrum Strut & 2 Rear OESpectrum Shock; changed 4 New O2 Sensors on my van; he correctly diagnosed a multipurpose pressure leak problem that was too much of a challenge; replaced the brake fluid dispenser and brake caliper with hardware; installed a new radiator & radiator hose kit and curved radiator hose with thermostat premium, thermostat housing gasket and new water reservoir all in one job; installed new water pump, cabin air filter and flush all in one job; installed power steering hose, rack & pinion; changed spark plugs wire Ignition coil set; installed EGR Valve; fixed the doors lock actuator and the stoplight switch. I usually don't recommend mechanics but Loc helped me so much with my old car issues that other mechanics won't even touch. Loc you've been a real Mechanic/Car Doctor.
