They called me the morning of to let me know that the driver was on his way and when he showed up he also called me. He got my car onto a flatbed towing truck and dropped it off at the mechanic. Everyone from the person who answered the phone to the driver was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I called a couple of towing services and Ray's Towing was around the same price so it must be the norm. I don't have insurance or roadside assistance to cover the tow so I had to pay out of pocket and I didn't think the price was unreasonable. Definitely recommend! read more

I was introduced to Ray's Towing through the AAA app. Herman arrived to help me with a dead battery due to storing a car over the summer. He was patient on the phone with me while I sent him my location via text. When Herman arrived, he was able to determine through diagnostic testing that the automatic lights had been left on during the storing of the car as it was determined there was a slow drain on the battery. While running some additional tests, Herman explained to me what he was doing at each step. He also taught me where I could get working key fobs in town (the fob batteries were dead too), along with getting local help in eliminating the error codes showing up on the dash due to the dead battery. I was so pleased by the service given. Our car was having a battery problem. It would not start. We called AAA and Ray's was dispatched. Didn't take long to arrive and I could track the driver on my smart phone. Not only did the driver jump start my battery, but he also tested the alternator, checked the oil, checked battery levels, cold cranking amps etc. very courteous and respectful. Well, this morning around 8:30am, a giant pothole at the Tyinn Street USPS won a battle against my front tire. (RIP tire.) About 5 blocks away, I felt the telltale pull on my steering wheel and knew I needed to call AAA because my tire was flat. I requested a tow and was told to expect a 45-minute wait; but within about 15 minutes, Dan (I think?) from Ray's Towing showed up. He was very kind and friendly and made quite a few jokes. He had my car on the back of the truck and towed to the tire shop very quickly. I rode along to the tire shop and on the drive there, Dan told me that he never expected to drive a tow truck, but his life's work is helping others and he gets to do that every day in this job. We highly recommend Ray's Towing. They were a complete Godsend for us. Our Tesla died in Springfield and we needed to be towed to Portland for service. Dan, the driver was extremely knowledgeable about Teslas and was the only person who knew the nuances of Teslas enough to get us in tow mode from a completely dead battery to get us on a flatbed for the tow. They towed my 14,000 pound class C motorhome. The driver, Angel, arrived at the agreed time with the necessary equipment. The tow was uneventful. After arriving at the destination, Angel went above and beyond by making sure the wheels were chocked and wiring up the drive shaft so it wouldn't drag. I called Ray's and they were to my house to tow our Lincoln Nautilus to Kendall Ford Lincoln. The were here in a flash. Car was in our garage, battery dead as a door nail. Jeff did a great job of getting it out. These new dam cars are useless with a completely dead battery. Jeff found the special park release under the steering wheel that took the brake of and put the car in neutral, and we were off and running. WORST TOWING COMPANY IN LANE COUNTY! Take your business elsewhere! There are too many other options for you to tolerate the rude and unprofessional drivers that this company employs. The company allows their drivers to decide whether they want to complete the service or not. The company DOES NOT CARE if their drivers refuse to complete your service. If they don't like the way you look or talk, they can just decide to drive away, with no consequences from the owners of the company. They are inconsiderate jerks! They don't care that you are already having a bad day (obviously if your in need of a tow), missing work for the appointment with them (they are 2 hours late), have an appointment with the mechanic (which you are now late for because of them), the driver just decided he didn't want my husband to ask him a question, so he just gets back in his truck and drives away! We are AAA members, I called AAA and filed a complaint against this company and had our account noted to NEVER send Ray's Towing for ANY REASON EVER. We will not be doing business with this company again and I suggest you avoid at all costs. AAA contract with LOTS of towing companies, so you are free to choose not to do business with this company and they will comply. I am writing this review to commend the outstanding professional service received from JULIE, who is with Ray's Towing, Eugene, OR. I have owned several cars from over the last 30 years and of course, I had used towing and roadside assistance for more a dozen times in my life. For those of us who have had more than a handful experiences, calling/waiting for towing or roadside assistance has always been a nightmare when dealing with a car breakdown. But, it was not the case with the help of Julie. First, Julie was extremely prompt (she arrived in about 30 minutes and she called again just before arrival to alert us). She was extremely professional (she asked questions in a very organized and professional manner and even explained why asking those questions were necessary in helping her diagnose the problem). She was extremely knowledgeable (she provided and explained all of the possible issues causing the breakdown). She was extremely educational (she explained her diagnosis in a crystal clear context that was easy for any laymen to comprehend). She was extremely hands-on (she meticulously ratified problems in minutes). Overall, I did not see any weaknesses in Julie's service. Of all the strengths she possessed, each and every one of them deserved the highest rating. Not only that, she has an extremely amiable personality. Their truck's technology has tools I've personally never seen before, that had automatic lifts and ramps.
