State Farm contacted this company to tow our car from our house (as a result of an MVA - caused by other driver) to the autobody shop located aprx 20 mins away. We waited for 2 hrs, missed work, they finally arrived and left at 11:20 am. It did not arrive at the autobody shop until 3 HOURS later. Called to find out what they were doing w/ our car for all of the unaccounted time. They said they got another tow job, so "dropped" it at their tow site to attend to another tow job first. Kid from AE Towing just arrived at my office to tow my truck because a lady renting a space at the storage unit across the street said I was in her way. Told them both I was authorized to park where I was parking and he said "move it or I'm hooking up to it". One call to property management and he left. Should probably not act so quickly to a phone call from Karen without doing some research first. Can only imagine what I would be dealing with if a coworker hadn't seen the tow truck. Would vote 0 stars if possible, very unhelpful and uncaring staff. Fees are highly targeted, and they are notorious for stealing stuff out of cars they tow (for me it was golf clubs, chargers, glove compartment emptied as well). I would choose the satisfaction of burning this horrible establishment to rubble, over solving world hunger. Police can't even do anything about the cars they rob in the lot behind the building. Absolutely will NOT recommend this business! We were given a time frame at 3pm and that time was consistently pushed out. My husband left work to be here, and they still weren't on there way at 7:45pm. We had to leave the car on the street overnight which left it vulnerable to theft and damage. Fortunately the insurance company representative kept us updated. My daughter had an even worse experience with AE Towing several years ago. Never again. DO NOTuse this company, they are predatory and are not operating legally regarding Oregon tow laws. We used this company to tow our kid's car to a shop in March and had no complaints. Unfortunately, the same company later towed her car even though it was unclear that she was parked in a "no parking" zone. She was charged $175 when her and a family member went to pick it up. Her car was towed again this weekend from friends' apartment complex by same company. This time, they initially quoted her $460, then blatantly raised price to $590 simply because she asked why it was more than last time. They violated the law by telling her it was cash only in order to release her car and refusing her documentation of the tow. This company should not be operating. read more

For three days, my insurance company called many towing services to help me get my RV towed from Albany to my home in Corvallis. Only AE Collision & Towing would do the job and were able rescue my RV within minutes of being impounded. Plus, they parked it off road on my property exactly where I wanted. I am a 22 year old college student working full time and paying all of my own bills. I was towed by this company 5 days ago, and at the time of tow asked what fees would accumulate daily on top of the initial $340 towing fee (which is already a huge sum for a student to pay themselves) and was told $75 lot fee each day my car was impounded. It is now day five, so the total I was expecting now that I was able to save up the money to get my car should have been $715. I called today to get my car and was quoted at $1,015. When I asked why the charge was so high they told me I had accumulated 7 days of lot fees, so they are charging me for days BEFORE I was even towed, and other mystery charges. Initially I was also told I would be able to pickup the vehicle no problem as I had disclosed the ownership was in my mothers name. Upon challenging the fees they revoked this, and told me the only way I could get my car back now, was if she drove to get it in person. My mother lives in California, and is now being forced to drive 8 hours to pick the car up. I offered to notarize a vehicle release form and they refused this as-well. On top of this they refused to send me signed documentation authorizing the tow, which you are legally required to provide. I have never experienced such predatory towing. Not to mention the folks I spoke with on the phone where so rude and unwilling to give information. I have been towed before and the experience was nothing close to this. They are forcing my mother to drive 16 total hours to retrieve the car, and totally wiping me out financially with lot fees that surpass the number of days my car was impounded. Do not use this company. I had to file a complaint with the Department of Justice Consumer Protection. read more

Parked my car in the lot as I'm disabled and walk with a cane, there currently is a snow storm and couldn't walk through the parking lot where I lived. My car was towed in the 15 mins it took for me to walk in my home and have a friend cone out to move my car. It's the day after Christmas, I'm disabled and had to pay 340$ for a 10 minute parking job, after a note was placed on my car advising next time my car would be towed. Hi you are in need of towing services or any type of assistance i highly do not recommend going to this place. I asked a simple question about why my car was towed and the Ladies kicked me out and shut the door in my face. Both ladies yelled at me and the guy who tows cars pushed my boyfriend out the door and threw his keys in his face. I have worked customer service for many years and have never seen employees acts like this rude let alone put there hands on their customers! All over a car that had a parking pass and shouldn't have been towed in the first place. Word for word the towing guys said "I'm going to beat your ass". I was in a car accident earlier this month and had to use AE Towing due to the Eugene police department calling tows trucks due to the location of the accident. The tow truck driver was very pleasant and fast at his job. However, after my vehicle being in their tow yard for less than 48 hours they decided to put a lien on my vehicle. Mind you I spoke with the dispatcher at the yard as well as my significant other to inform them we'd be in later than evening to pay our fee and have it towed home. in the time after we spoke on the phone (around 10-11a) they decided, knowing we were coming, to go ahead and put the lien on my vehicle at 2p. Yes, after my significant other raised significant concern, it was removed, but what I'm wondering is how these crooked individuals trying to screw people knowing they're literally on their way to pay for and get their vehicle? I will honestly say, if i even need towed or recommend a tow company, I will never use or recommend this place. Even with communication with these individuals in ny opinion, they still try to scam whomever they can out of a nice chunk of change. read more

They tower my car from my apartment complex at 3am and it was $390 to get it back 7 hrs later. They make you sign a form saying they're not liable for any damage to your car before they will give it back. Zero covid precautions, and extremely aggressive and antagonistic anti-maskers. Worst customer service ever. They patrol the streets and take your car the second your time is up and then over charge you for taking your car, AND ITS ONLY CASH, kinda weird if you ask me. Lived in my complex for over 11 years and had my car towed by this incompetent company. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company if you need something they are just out to make a buck I have more than enough reason but I will give you a few from this ONE experience. When inside the building Dedra treated us very poorly, telling my elderly father, myself and my infant child to stand outside. When I argued that, I was told to leave premises and threatened to be charged $100 more. My car was towed from a place it's been a staple for 11+ years and now being thrown in the cold with my child because there's "to many people inside"(we all literally had reason to be there despite her uneducated opinion). Dedra was very unprofessional and rude to my family and I, she could do a better job training the older women if she worked on her own professionalism and etiquette. When I received my car back the man who gave my car said "it had trouble going into park, is that normal?" I quickly replied "No actually it's not." And tried to get the attention of my spouse to inspect it. The man said to me "Sure it's not" as if I was lying about it and walked away. I didn't ask for the trouble I was given with my car today and it was incredibly unappreciated and unacceptable for a business. If you need something like a tow or lock out service I would highly recommend SWAT towing for your needs. They are incredibly helpful at SWAT and their customer service is pristine. I had decided to do some last meeting shopping and I luckily found a spot in front of the store. This never happens btw. It was a typical crazy Friday and I just wanted to get in and out. Unfortunately when I returned to my BMW it decided it didn't want to go into reverse. Lovely insert instant panic attack. Oh well, I tried Triple A it was going to be three hours and I didn't even want to think how long for my insurance so I tried calling around no other place wanted to do it or where too busy. However from the first call to the girl taking my information to these guys showing up in a hour they were beyond amazing. They were very professional and the price was perfect for paying out of my pocket. I will definitely use them again (knock on wood, I have better luck with my new car) but honestly it's nice to see people that still care about customer service and caring about the customers vehicle and putting care into their work. All we needed was a flat travel tire changed. They said they couldn't do it. Yet a good Samaritan finally stopped for us and had it changed in 20 minutes with a regular jack and our spare. Customer service was terrible. Crystal didn't even seem to care. read more

My car got towed... yea I'm angry. But the customer service given was just upsetting. The woman working was complaining about being there 5 times that day or cussing in between, being sharp and rude over the phone... understand that the customer just got left with a fat bill that you get paid for while you work. If you don't want so many car releases don't tow cars away, have a day off where you don't have to work. I love this tow company. I've had to call for a tow or tire flat service twice in the last 6 months. There's few things worse than having to wait and worry about a tow. But twice now the bright green AE tow truck has rapidly come to the rescue. Kyle, the guy who arrived both times, absolutely could not be nicer. First he called to confirm and let me know when he was 10 minutes away. Both times he has helped with my car he arrived with a positive disposition, and calmly assessed what was needed and then quickly set to work. He is very knowledgeable about the service and tire industry and has excellent advice and recommendations. He even checked the air levels in the other tires! I don't know any other employees at AE because I was lucky enough to get Kyle on both occasions, but if he indicates the level of service for the company, you are in good, safe hands with AR. read more

Then went back to our car on the side of the hwy to meet the truck) Their dispatcher called us and was honest about how long it would take. The truck arrived sooner than they said. When the truck arrived it went down so fast we didn't even catch the drivers name. He knew what he was doing. He knew where he was going. Predatory and manipulative! Kayla who claims to be the manager lied from the very first call to get out vehicle released saying there was a police hold which coming from the police department there never was one period. She went on to claim the vehicle was a theft recovery making it seem it wasn't available to be released. After many calls and jumping through hoops to get it released she tells my girlfriend and I once released from the police all we would need is to call and regardless the time they could have someone meet us at the yard to pick up the vehicle which was another lie. We had the police dept email them which we confirmed they received the email only for them to tell us sorry you'll have to call on Monday during regular business hours and that they were directed by management (Kayla) not to release our 4 runner. On Monday Kayla still claims there was a police hold on the vehicle but that now it is past the 30 day mark even tho we were there to pick it up before our 30 days was up. Now she claims the vehicle is no longer there and no longer available to be released. They made up story after story to steal our vehicle from us. Thank God I have a great legal team that protects our assets against predatory bullies like AE towing and people like Kayla who have no business working in a customer service position. Hopefully AE towing fires that one and saves themselves tens of thousands in legal fees and returns our vehicle and our sons ashes because this one is very personal. I would not recommend these guys to my worst enemy. read more
