My dog did a number on our front door, scratching and chewed a chunk out of the wood. I got several quotes that were out of this world from other companies to fix and refinish the door. Ray's came in at a fraction of the cost. I knew going in that Ray would have an issue with the corner the dog chewed out of the wood but chose to restain for now cuz we couldn't decide on a color to repaint. Awesome! Highly recommend! I used Ray and his team to paint the interior of our home. They painted EVERYTHING. Walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and some extras like my mantle and my kitchen cabinets. Sarah did the bid virtually, which worked out much better for me since I work long hours. Sarah was great to work with during the bid process. She was very responsive and friendly. Whenever I asked her to add yet another item to the bid, she'd add it on at no extra charge. That was awesome. Ray's bid was at the lower end compared to the 3-4 in-person bids I got, but included the most, so it was a no-brainer to go with them. Ray and his team's work was excellent; great attention to detail. They took care in protecting the floors and there is not a paint-stroke out of place. They worked extremely efficiently. They worked so fast that I wasn't always able to get the rooms prepared for them in time. That was no problem. After asking me, they would move my stuff for me and then put my stuff back after they were done. They even re-installed the anti-tip kits on my larger furniture. They also demo'd a couple closets for me and patched/resurfaced and then painted them. I was most nervous about the kitchen cabinets, but they turned out beautifully. I'm so happy I had them done. We used our sun room for a spa, a greenhouse, and for junk storage for 20 years. There was some water damage from a leak too. No surprise that the walls were in bad shape. We decided it was time to give the room some love, so we searched Yelp for a painter who could handle the challenge. We found Ray's. My husband and I went through Thumbtack and Home Advisors in search of a contractor to do our floors and interior painting. We met with several contractors but couldn't find one that met all our requirements. We finally settled on S&G to do our flooring and went to search for someone to do our interior paint. My husband decided to search in Yelp and found Ray. Despite the low number of raters, the high and very satisfied ratings prompted my husband to request a quote on Yelp on 9/14. Sarah responded the very next day. She and my husband communicated via phone and text a couple of times. My husband found Sarah pleasant, professional, and straightforward. On 9/22, Sarah and Ray came over to look at our house so they can give an estimate. From the minute Ray entered our house, I can tell from his eyes that his gears were in motion of what he can do for our house. He and Sarah asked what we were looking to do. They listened intently and offered suggestions openly. Ray scanned every room and was clearly making mental notes on how he can implement our vision. I was told by other contractors that the paint was looking worn, but Ray was able to show me exactly how the paint was failing, which made me feel much better about the investment that I was making. Ray and his crew came out, power washed, primed, and painted the house. His crew also helped me remove a few odd bits that were screwed in to the trim (solar flood lights, etc.), and they also did a bit of trim repair. Ray and his crew took four days to do all the work (power wash, prime/prep, paint, second/third coat). We recently hired Ray's Painting to paint our downstairs duplex unit and they brought a whole new life to it. Previously is was painted throughout with all one color. Our place is old, as well, with unique features throughout that when painted all the same, blended in and were easily overlooked. We worked closely with Sarah to not only select colors but also plan out the job to bring these architectural details to light. With the scope finalized, Ray and his team came in and quickly executed the work, even with a few brief repairs, and our space was transformed into a beautiful and welcoming home. We love it so much we find ourselves often migrating from our own unit to the vacant one downstairs just to enjoy it. Ray and his team were careful to ensure the old wooden windows we have remained functional even after having been painted. They were very careful to cover the furniture and flooring throughout. They patched a few spots and bad taping jobs in our walls to ensure they were smooth before painting, and took the time to remove the wall plates and cover the outlets and switches so that they wouldn't get painted over. None of fixtures were painted over due to the care applied with their prep. Even the cabinet knobs (cabinets were also in scope) were removed and reinstalled to ensure they weren't painted over. Additionally, they even gave us a few days to acclimate to the finished work, then came back and did a final touch up. This was the icing on the cake for us as sometimes you can't see the minor imperfections right away in a final walk through and they only become apparent once you've had time to acclimate to the new look. Rays responded quickly to my Yelp quote request. He asked me to send him some photos of my house exterior. A few hours he emailed me a quote to paint my house. When I asked Ray about priming the house beforehand, he said it was not necessary unless it's painting bare wood. I was taken aback bc there was some peeling paint w wood came off of trim of house fr last paint job bc the previous painting co hadn't primed the wood before painting.
