We had our entire home exterior repainted with Jose and were 100% beyond happy with Jose and his team. They were extremely hardworking, detail-oriented, and transparent and patient. Jose is extremely trustworthy. He noticed issues they could not have seen until they dug into the details. He didn't mask dry rot and paint over it, he made clear recommendations and explained to me why they would need more time and effort verifying I was ok with the additional effort. In most cases I honestly think he underquoted me. They completely rebuilt our porch banister because of severe dry rot and his concern if our dogs or child would get onto the porch and push past a post. We really appreciated that. Jose was also SUPER patient with us. We started this job without having 100% certainty of the colors we wanted. Jose got us maybe... 8 different paint samples, painted sections and joints of our house so we could get a real sense of what the colors would look like before we chose. He didn't charge us for that time, the paint, or honestly the delays we caused him. And because of his patient, we got colors we really enjoy now. I am someone that really cares about details, neatness, transparency and clear communication. Jose went above and beyond. The number of ratings he has on yelp do not do their work justice. Go to some other sites and you will see they have dozens more folks equally happy. There work was so good - I immediately had him help us with a rental property we needed to turn over quickly and he gave me a bid within a day. read more

Jose and team were excellent! He provided great guidance and the end result was exactly what I wanted.

Jose and his team painted the entire interior of our home. He was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, highly detail-oriented, careful, and fast. We could not have asked for a better end result, as every surface of our home was painted perfectly. He was also very receptive of live feedback, and he was able to make changes every day based on our preferences as we saw each day's progress. Jose and his team have really transformed the way our home feels, and I will be coming back to him for all of my future painting needs! read more

Jose was an absolute pleasure to work with. He met our every need and his input helped us a lot with what colors to go with. He was very patient with feedback and addressed any concerns. He is also very knowledgeable and I never felt like he was trying to sell us on work. His pricing is also very competitive as we got bids from 3+ other contractors. Even any other work we got done along the way he made sure his costs were very good. For example, one contractor charged us $55 per outlet and $85 for GFCI while Jose only charged $10 per outlet regardless of type. As far as the painting it was very detail oriented. They took their time which we appreciated and made sure to do touch ups at the very end. We absolutely love the look of our cabinets as well as the white dove color he suggested for the walls. Just make sure to communicate with each other every step of the process. Thanks Jose, Maribel, and the rest of the team. read more

Jose and team did good job and at right price. He is reasonable, does great job and on time

We just bought a unit at Mesa Verde Hayward &CV, that needed quick work for a well timed transition- Jose and the Gang was up for the challenge with careful and efficient promptness that did all we expected and more- that is some handyman tasks we needed done that Jose willingly took as extra service that made it easier and smoother for our short window of time. I can say with great admiration how much help they have been and for the reasonable rate that we had compared to the competition. I will be calling on them again for another project- on the strength of their efficiency and familial work ethic! read more

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen. We contacted Big Guy Painting company to paint our kitchen, living room and hallway. Jose was quick to respond and gave us a great quote. The work he and his wife did are beyond our expectations. They payed attention to all detail, detail we didn't know needed attention and made such a big difference. They gave us tips on what we could use to make our home look nicer. Our youngest son (4yrs old) keeps saying "wow I love this place". He keeps referring it as it was a new house. This truly is how our home feels. Every time I open the door our bedroom door it's a whole new feel. Thank you Jose and Maribel! read more

Outstanding job! Jose, his wife, and his son! They painted the exterior of our home. We could not be more pleased! We have a very large house. They took their time and did it right. They completed this all within a week with no shortcuts! They meticulously ensured the trim, stucco and eaves were covered with perfection! They even painted out PG&E and air conditioning units. We could not be more thrilled with the outcome! If you are looking for excellent painters, look no further! We highly recommend BIG GUY PAINTING! Very integrable people! Jose and his team did a superb job with painting the majority of my house (with exception of a few 2nd floor bedrooms) in Benjamin Moore's White Dove, which included high ceilings, staircase area, all walls, and baseboards. He was a pleasure to work with, very professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, efficient (took 2.25 days), and provided a very competitive price. He took great care with covering all furniture, fixtures, and flooring while painting. Jose even went above and beyond in going to the store to replace our vent covers for us at no additional charge! I would highly recommend him for any painting projects you may have. Thank you so much, Big Guy Painting!! read more

Big Guy is the best painting company we have ever used for painting the interior of our house. We shopped around, a lot. Jose and his wife at Big Guy are kind, professional, careful painters who will give you creative ideas around how to do a great, affordable painting job for any budget. They have deep integrity and will not just fix something if they don't think it's the right way to do it. They also repaired a few things around the house while they were working, just because they are wonderful people. They took time with us, checked in throughout the job, responded to our texts immediately and it looks beautiful. We quickly hired them for more projects. I highly recommend them. read more

Jose and his team are wonderful! They painted the exterior of our house a couple of years ago, and as others have commented, he went above and beyond to make small repairs (and even framed our windows, which was something I wanted done for years.) Jose is unfailingly nice and a lovely person to be around. He just finished painting our living room, and had suggested a change to a heat duct that was in a weird place on our ceiling - he quickly made the change and it looks better than I could have ever imagined. Also rehabbed and painted some neglected support posts on our front porch that had been covered in vines for 20+ years, and touched up spots on the house and exterior. Everything looks great. Workspaces are always left clean, and actual paint job is fantastic. I am nitpicky. There is nothing to nitpick with Jose's work. On top of all of that, his prices are very reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about Big Guy Painting. read more

I highly recommend Jose and his team! He is very easy to work with, punctual, responsive and offers a great deal on a paint job. His work is thorough and looks amazing! He repaired some of our walls that were cut up from the electrical work we recently had done as well as damage we did after removing a backsplash. We have hired him for several different projects and will definitely recommend him to anyone. He is honest and is highly skilled. Thank you Jose! read more

My house hasn't been painted for at least 15 years. I was determined to find a painter who is willing to take time caulking, sealing cracks of the wood siding and prepping the surface prior to painting. I had received quotes from four companies. Jose's quote was the one of the lowest. I selected him because he is the only owner that told me he will be on site everyday along with his crew. I thought it would be much easier to ask questions and communicate my requirements by him being around. My instinct was correct. Their work is absolutely flawless because of their attention to details. The house looks like new now. They not only painted the exterior of my house, but also the front door. How did they do it? They took the door down, removed the hardware and strip, cleaned it, sanded it, applied the primer before putting multiple coats of paint on. (One of the companies I spoke to told me they do not remove anything, they just paint around things.) If you are looking for someone that focuses more on customer satisfaction than making money, look no further. Call Jose and ask for an estimate. You won't regret. read more
