Ray's Key & Lock - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Torrance, California

After looking for a local locksmith, I decided to call Ray's Key &Lock for an estimate. I had two locks to rekey and several key duplicates to be cut. Upon arrival at the shop Cassidy took the locks and called me about 20 minutes later when the job was complete. She rekeyed the two locks, lubricated them, cut the keys requested at a very reasonable price. Efficient, polite and great prices for your locksmithing needs. I'll be back for my lock needs in the future. read more

This company is excellent! I had an unusual deadbolt that other companies couldn't rekey. They were able to rekey and were extremely timely. The price was excellent- lower than I expected. I am a landlord with many units and they will be my go-to company from now on. Thank you so much!! read more

I needed my keys duplicated and a garage clicker. Good customer service. Many keys to choose from.

Needed to get a deadbolt installed. Henry gave me a quote, set up an appointment and he made sure that I was informed about what might have been causing issues with my door. He came in on time, was very quick with installing everything and answered any questions I had. He even went the extra mile to handle some issues with a couple doors I had. Price was reasonable, and I didn't get slapped with any extra fees at the last minute. Henry was very polite, honest and professional. I will definitely be back if I have any lock or key issues. read more

Ray's Key & Lock - Henry is great! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Torrance, California

I went to Ray's Key & Lock just to see if they had a car fob for myChevy Suburban. My buttons were braking off and I needed a new fob. Chevy wanted to charge me $450 for a whole new fob and to program it to my car. Ray's gave me that same option for about $230 OR . . . since my buttons still worked but the SHELL was broken, they could just replace the SHELL only for $82 !!!! No need to program anything else !! That was a MUCH BETTER idea and it still worked out great !!! Hopefully I'll remember this place next time I need keys or locks or whatever!! Thanks Ray's !! read more

Ray's key & lock is the best! The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. I desperately needed a new Range Rover key FOB. I was in and out within 30 minutes versus going to the dealership and waiting 2 -3 months. Don't hesitate to contact them for any of your lock and key services. read more

Henry is super smart, professional, reliable, fast, kind and efficient! Like wow! Thank you Yelpers for directing me to this outstanding local business. Henry showed up right on time and got to work. When I called other places regarding replacing a lock on a steel door, others shied away but not Henry. He can pretty much handle it all as he has seen it all throughout his decades of experience. Growing up in the business, he was his father's apprentice at a very young age. He is the consummate locksmith and is full of knowledge from the very basic job to the more complicated jobs. He obviously has an engineering brain and nothing seems too difficult for him. Super clean work too! Don't waste your time looking elsewhere Ray's Lock and Key is the "go to" for all locksmith related service. read more

Ray had the best Yelp reviews. I contacted them and Henry provided a reasonable quote to install a smart lock. Henry was extremely prompt and professional. Due to our door it took him about 90 minutes. Very glad I didn't try to do it myself. Did the job for the quoted price. Very happy with their work. 5 stars read more

Excellent service, took time to find exactly the blanks I needed. Very nice, helpful and above all competent.

Best locksmith experience I've ever had. Henry is so knowledgeable. He helped me pick out the right smart locks for my place then he came and installed them as soon as they arrived. Installation was quick and painless and Henry explained everything about the locks. Pricing is very reasonable. I don't see why I'd ever use another locksmith. Thanks Henry! read more

They have a huge supply of key blanks to make almost every size/kind of key. Very helpful.

We walked in on an early Sunday afternoon to have six copies made and were done in no time - probably less than ten minutes total. Keys were reasonably priced and the owner(s)/staff were nice too. I would definitely go back if I need more keys done. read more

Henry came out asap--great guy and great service. Could not recommend more highly! Very grateful to have called him. Thank you.

I snapped my car key and called the dealership for a replacement. I was quoted $360! So I did a quick google search for "Scion car key smith" and Rays popped up. I didn't look at the reviews and just called. He picked up right away gave me a quote and I was at their store in ASAP. I chose this place based on their friendliness and prices. It seems to be a husband/wife/family business and I will definitely be going back, if needed. More info: service took about 45 minutes so I went to Starbucks around the corner and browsed Best Buy while I waited. read more

Very nice couple runs this place and they know their stuff. I needed a new key fob for my car because mine was was worn out and unreliable. They had one in stock and when I got there they programmed it in less than 10 minutes. They have the best price. I will surely use them again. read more

Installed a smart lock, excellent service and good communication. Even gave recommendations on which smart lock to buy based on our needs.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Ray's. My lock mechanism was broken in my door set. They ordered the part and it came in in 2 days and cheaper than I expected. I was quoted a price for installation which I thought was reasonable. The appointment was easy to schedule and he arrived on time. After the part was installed, to my surprise, he said that the job was easier than expected and he charged me less than he originally quoted. What a concept. I highly recommend Ray's. read more

This was the first time I visited Ray's Key and Lock in Walteria, Torrance California, located just beyond Pacific Coast highway after UHaul on the right hand side after you go south on Hawthorne Boulevard. Parking was tricky but we managed on Saturday to find an appropriate place for a short visit. Keys were made with a guarantee that if when tried at home any key does not work to bring it back and it will be redone. Customer service is beyond anyone's expectation and there was an immediate report established with the owner and her daughter! It was fun to be there and the free pen was a pleasant surprise. Having learned that this business is open 7 days a week it is reassuring to know that no matter when a key issue occurs there is a quick resolution. In short this is a well-established and professional business that can be recommended for anyone. read more

Fast, reliable and great value! We are glad we chose these guys for our keys/ knobs services. Thank you.

Henry came out as agreed, was prompt, and got right to work. He didn't have me buy additional services just to pad the bill, gave his honest opinion of the condition of the locks, and I ended up just re-keying my new place (versus all new locks), and added one deadbolt, so he saved me some $$ (thank you!!). He also straightened the lock mechanism on one door so that it shut right the first time (the door blew open even when locked, and you had to really push on the door before it would stay closed). He handed me the number of sets of keys I requested, and if I have a problem with any of them, his shop is close by to fix any, but I really doubt I will need to do that. He did a fabulous job, was totally professional, and I felt his recommendations were good and honest. It's very nice to have someone close by with expertise and integrity. I would highly recommend him and his company! Thanks, Henry! read more

Wonderful services! I had a tricky key that was difficult to copy; multiple other key services had declined. Ray's Key and Lock was happy to do it! There were a few problems with the copy given the type of lock, but they fixed it until it was perfect. Thank you! read more

Lost the remote control for my Mazda. Contacted Ray's through the Yelp website, and Henry responded within ten minutes. I had ordered a blank fob on-line and needed to get it programmed and the blank door key cut. Henry gave me a very reasonable quote (relative to what dealers would charge). I arrived the next morning as they were opening, first one there and Henry helped me right away. Took less than 30 minutes and I now once again possess a spare remote (and the peace of mind that comes with that!). Henry was very knowledgeable about car remotes and what's involved in programming. Thank you so much, Henry. I will be recommending Ray's Key & Lock to anyone who needs an excellent local locksmith! read more

This is the best place to get a copy of your vehicle key. Just call and he will let you know if its available. Very honest and fair.

Messaged this business and within minutes got a response from them. Very knowledgeable on my keys and was very friendly. I needed a Honda key made and their prices was fairly reasonable. As I came to the shop, his wife was very helpful and was able to save me some money and let me try the key (trusted me to turn it on myself). Then she made a me a very rare house key which I didn't need to go back and fix or check. Would definitely go back. Thanks Ray! read more
