LIFESAVER!! Got locked out around on a Tuesday evening. He asked for a photo of the lock, estimated arrival 30-45 minutes and arrived in 30 minutes. $125 for a simple door lock. He brought his own headlamp and tools. My door was unlocked in 5 minutes! True professional. Thank you so much!! Highly recommend! read more

A trusted locksmith who can resolve a simple yet far from an amateur DIY problem with an expert solution. $125 got me a simple entry door lock-out problem. Not a complex lock, but a secure one that would be difficult to resolve without a trained locksmith. I don't know comps (comparable) rates by others, but I'd say for a housecall where he has to take time to travel back and forth, plus his professional tools and expertise, it sounded fair enough. Be sure to call Alex. Confirm the details. Provide a photo of the lock itself so he knows what brand or style and can give you the right estimate. If you're in a time crunch or have limitations related to urgency of getting the lock unlocked, be clear and discuss his availability and a realistic arrival time. He has other clients/projects, so there could be miscommunication interpretation delays of where you fall into his schedule that day. I interpreted "in 45 mins" as an ETA (estimated time of arrival) for a job in the South Bay Beach Cities area, but it ended up being closer to 2 hours or so due to his other jobs. So, that was my only minor issue I'd fair warn myself to temper expectations or clarify with him if I ever needed this service. When he arrived, it took him I'd challenge to say less than 3 minutes to pick the lock and unlock the keyed entry without any problems. He does know what he's doing and did it quickly. He was a nice service provider. My testimony review is an approved referral that I'd recommend Alex as a locksmith. read more

I misplaced my car key. (I found it two weeks later.) I called for service to unlock my car; supply a new "blank" smart key; cut the key and program it to work with my car. As the car was at my house, I was able to defer the appointment (so I didn't have to pay an after hours premium). He showed up, per appointment. He got everything working in a reasonable amount for time. His pricing was reasonable. I was satisfied. read more

Alex came out to help me because I locked my keys in my car at my friends house. He showed up when he said he would around 45 min from when I called him. When he arrived he seemed like a cool dude and asked me to help him holding the flashlight and that's cool but then he started asking me to guide him to the lock and that's also cool but when he wasn't understanding me he started getting impatient and yelling which is NOT cool. Once I told him "I really shouldn't be helping at all for a service i'm paying $125 for maybe bring a helper" he changed his attitude and went quiet. I still helped him because I just wanted my keys. Nonetheless he still got the keys out in an hour after struggling and getting mad. service was ok 7/10 he makes a mess and doesn't really car about your car. read more

I had some issue with a key pad door lock at my girlfriend's apartment and I gave A-1 a call. Although they could not come out since they were not sure if there was a key hole (because my girlfriend did not have a phone on her) , but they checked on me multiple times to make sure everything was going well time to time for around 2-3 hours. After things were resolved, he gave me some tips on making sure something like this does not happen again. This person will go above and beyond for a person who didn't even pay for his service, imagine what he will do for person who does. 5 star service! read more
