I emphasized that I cannot move and asked her to look into making an exception. She got very short with me taking the tone of a kindergarten teacher speaking to a child. So, in summary, if you enjoy being spoken down to for daring to ask a scheduler--Ms Frazier--to speak with the doc about making a reasonable exception or some equally reasonable request then choose dr Gohel as your Doc and enjoy the condescending, dominating attitude of her head office manager. I brought them back and of course the girl plays dumb as to what's wrong with them. So they send them out again to one of their labs they deal with. After over a week I am finally able to reach them (their answering machine always picks up) and the girl says the glasses failed the inspection and they have to remake the lenses again. I am so fed up with them! I used to have my glasses done in an actual optical lab and have even walked through the lab so I see what goes on. I don't know what kind of morons work at the lab they use. Update: 3-6-13. Well since their lab screwed up so badly, they made my sunglasses for free. I wasn't that pleased with the sunglasses. Some small scratches on the lens and major glare when looking through them. Its been 2 months and they have remade my rimless glasses about 3 times now. I finally got them back today and there were two imperfections in the lenses. Mid hudson gave me a full refund (after asking). I am happy with mid hudson but not the lab they use (lab is in pennsylvania).

I called ahead to make sure the shop was open, and that I wouldn't be interrupting an appointment and was told by the owner Sienna to come down and she'd help me with the gift. The shop is beautiful from bottom to top. Lots of plants and you immediately feel welcome. Metaphysical practices, reiki, stones, readings, these are all interesting things to me but by no means something I have a knowledge of. Sienna was incredible accommodating and helpful putting together a perfect group of stones and crystals for my wife's friend and even throwing in some free incense and other items. All of this is great, but it was what happened at checking out that really made me want to write a review and hope it helps her business, especially since I don't really use yelp much anymore, I'd rather only write positive reviews for great experiences than anything else. At checkout I noticed a plant I used to have. Sort of a creeping vine leafed plant. My toddler poured a ton of juice in it and unfortunately it died. Without even saying anything else after identifying it for me which I have already unfortunately forgot, but I'll make a point to look it up through a photo later, she cut a clipping and gifted it to me in a small glass with water completely free of charge. This was a small gesture, but it meant a lot. The plant that I previously had that died was my mothers, who was killed 6 years ago now. So even though she was unaware of that, the gesture was very meaningful to me. If I ever need anything from this shop, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here, or refer a friend in need.
