I needed a set of wheels and tires quickly as my wife and I were stranded without any other option. My right rear stock steel wheel had cracked on my 96 Integra and I had remembered I had used Rent A Wheel many years ago and I was satisfied then with the work they had provided for me. We pull up to the store and within moments of walking in was greeted, said I needed something relatively affordable as I wasn't planning to get wheels anytime soon, and they had a set of gorgeous black trimmed, 5 spoke wheels at a 4 X 100 pattern that fit my Integra in stock and on the wall. The service was prompt, and high quality. There's no credit check, they required 8 references, and of course, photo ID, pay stub, SS card, vehicle registration and insurance (all of which happened to be with us in the car), and a debit/credit card for automatic payment withdrawal from an account (though you can pay online or in person if you so choose). We ended up paying $110 down, and our payments will be about $60/week. I highly recommend anyone looking for tires/wheels or either to seriously consider Rent A Wheel. I heard about Rent-A-Wheel through a buddy of mine who just got some new tires and rims this past Sunday and loved it. After talking with him I had to call a nearby store and see what it's all about. After talking to a rep I knew this was something I wanted to do and scheduled an appointment for Monday. Showed up for my appointment and everyone was helpful. Found the rims and tires that I wanted and it was a go from there. Didn't take long at all and I was made assured that I wouldn't have any problems and that if I did I could always come in and they would help me with no charge. I think what sold me was the good quality rims they had and tires on site. Made it real easy for me to pick and knowing I was getting it done on the same day made me happier. The prices are great as well and they are willing to help out if anything happens because they know in life things happen unexpectedly so they definitely take care of their customers. About 2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of "Almost" doing business with these guys. I was in a tight space and needed to get tires and rims on an old 85 Chevy but the owner of the previous rims had broken off 2 of the caps. The manager, "Bill", drove out to my house to see if it could be done and take me to the gas station as well. Uncertain if they could get the rims off, I still gave it a shot. When I arrived at the store, it seemed like the whole shop came out to help, which was refreshing. There aren't a lot of companies still interested in providing great customer service anymore. After a while of trying, they figured out that they wouldn't be able to get the rims off. I was ok with that and understood I would have to have them removed by a mechanic. The whole experience was a great one because they actually tried everything they could to help, and for that, I am extremely grateful. I am very impressed with the customer service approach of this business. I had a flat tire today and stuck with my Mercedes CLK 350 on the parking lot close to this place. I took the tire off the car and decided to fix it quickly at Rent A Wheel. Only when I brought the tire I realized that it was past 7:00 PM and the place is closed. Regardless, these guys were very helpful, they inspected my tire and it was beyond repair. Since I didn't have the right lug nuts for my spare tire, the General Manager Bill found the right lug nuts and went with me to the parking lot to help me with my spare tire. These guys spent over an hour with me trying to put me back on the road. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT and I would highly recommend Rent A Wheel in Sanford to everybody. About a month ago I was on my way to my regular tire shop to buy a new set of tires. On the way there one of my tires had a blow out. I had to think fast. I remembered that there is a tire store buy the grocery store I shop at and it was right around the corner. So i went there instead. I was greeted as soon as i walked in. They pulled my car in and told me there was nothing they could do to fix that tire so I asked for a tire quote. They got the price together and i couldnt believe it, it was a little cheaper than my old tire place. I say old because im going here from now on. Amazing service, I recently got a blowout literally a light down the road and I did not have a spear tire so I pull into Rent A Wheel. De-spit being closed the tech came out and saw my tire was flat and immediately offered to help. He called his boss over to see if he could open the garage to help me and sure enough even the boss was super generous to help myself and my wife get back on the road. Honestly they got me back on the road asap! if it wasn't for the generous and amazing staff I would have had rough evening.I honestly can say what makes that shop different then the rest is the staff! I went to multiple rim shops and was dissatisfied with everything from prices and variety and not to mention all the add on fees, but at rent a wheel you get treated right. If you ever go to this location go see Victor, he helped me pick a set off 22's and the set of tires all for a more than reasonable price. The service was as exceptional as the speed of service. What a great place to go and purchase tires....the transaction was quick and very little waiting time for them to install my tires. I would have never thought to purchase tires from them before, but I am glad that I did. The best place to go to for your wheels. Everyone there always helps me whenever i have a problem and they take care of me with no questions asked. I refer them to people everytime. I have been dealing with them since i was 18 and im going on 25 in two weeks. These guys do a great job. Prices are fair. I've bought 3 sets of rims and tires over the last couple years. They are also very honest. I just came to replace a tire due to a nail. It was for my 26's. They we able to remove the nail and notify me it was in a place that would not ruin the tire. They could have moved forward with the change but instead reimbursed me the $320 for the special order tire and balanced my tires for free. Unbelievable but very true. Thanks guys! read more
