Customer Service at Will Call was on point and I give them five stars…read more I came for the Zapp & Tuxedo concert. I didn't have my paper ticket, but the day before I arranged thru ETix to have a reprint at will call. The journey here was long. I left the Bay Area via Amtrak to HNF. From there I drove to Coarsegold. My train was delayed but I made it before 7pm. Parking was full. I had to park in the garage, luckily found space on the 2nd level. I'm first in line at Will Call, showed them my email & order number, but the staff had issues with their credentials logging on. I gave them my ID & my phone and another agent comes to log-in. She offered me a preprinted ticket in the center, row J. Thanks, but I would like what I paid for and that was row A. She had to login, that's ok I can wait. Yay, I got my ticket Row A seat 45. I was so grateful & happy that this staff walked me in to my seat. Like I had a personal escort. Funny thing is I had made a joke earlier that if my ticket couldn't be reprinted, a personal escort would do just fine and here I got one. Lol. If you see my first pic, you can tell the stage was kinda in my way. No biggie, I'll make the best of it. I sat there enjoying my non-alcoholic drinks trying to cool down. The group of the five seats to my left arrived, looked at their seats, made some comments & left. They came back as the show was about to start. One older man, got right in front of me as i was taking pics. When I tapped him, I got the look & some choice words. I think he was already plastered. I didn't say anything. I walked to the restroom and on the way back I stopped by Will-Call to see if I can purchase another single ticket. The nice pretty, petite lady handed me a ticket that was in the same row, but now I'm closer & more centered. I was elated as I explained the reason why I wanted to buy an extra ticket. The staff comped me my ticket. Wow, see how the universe works. Love it! So I walked back to my original seats, grabbed my drinks & began to walk off. Guess who blocked me & got in my way. Yep, that guy again. So I said, "Excuse me" loud enough for him to hear, squeezed by and walked right passed him so he could see I went beyond the rope to my new seat right in the center. No yelling, no calling security, no being a Karen, just lil 'ol' me showing him how I make all big moves in silence. I sat in my seat. A few moments later, a lady asked me if she could sit next to her mom, (in my seat), and I paused & said Ok, but if the person next to me shows up, I'm going to have to get my seat back. We'll just play it by ear, I said. Well that person never came & universe paid it forward to allow that lady to sit next to her mom. You would think that would be the end of all concert drama, right? No, that man & his lady ignored the rope and decided to stand & dance in front of me. I think the lady tried to start something by backing up against me. The security saw & kicked them out & the other three back to their section. Bravo security, Bravo. clap 3x. They tried again & this time the head of security in charge yelled at them "Get Back!" And they had to go back & they stayed back. Not only was that being selfish towards me, but the family to my right too. I took enjoyment when the head of security told them that if they did it again, they would be escorted out of the concert. Way to go guy! Way-to-Goooo. I enjoyed the show with a little bit more satisfaction after that. Tuxedo & Zapp took turns back & forth coming to the stage. Tuxedo sang all their hits, like the Tuxedo Way, Number One, Do it, So Good, & Shy. Great songs to dance to, get the party started. Zapp sung their hits, Heartbreaker, Dance Floor, Computer Love, Alright, I wanna Be Your Man, I can make you dance. Great dancers & musicians. It cooled down, but being near those lights that close it got hot again. Show started at 8pm & ended at 10pm. No sticking around for me, I'm not a gambler and IDK there's something about the casino crowd that is very off putting to me. I got my concert on and I was out. First time driving out of this place in the dark. Lots of curves and turns. Drive cautiously you never know what condition the other driver is in. Thanks Chukchansi

The Food is okay, nothing special But......90% of the workers and staff are rude or downright hateful. This business charges for everything. Each drink be it soda water or coffee is by the glass or cup; no refills. My family and I chose to stay 4 days in the hotel as our house was being worked on. Every time you leave your room and return you must show your Identification and state your room number in order to pass security. I purchased a drink at the travel center when I gassed my car, I wanted to take it to my hotel room. Security made me throw it in the trash before I was able to enter. I have a Yeti water bottle that was empty and I was going to take it to my room, security refused to allow me to take it in. The guard said I could only take in a water bottle that says Chuckchansi on it. I was handed a tee shirt because it was my birthday and I have a Players Card. The Tee Shirts only come in one size.....the doesn't fit most people size! To put the icing on this rotten cake.......Monday night my family wanted to go to the Buffet. I didn't want to eat but I wanted to be with my husband because he had just been told his Sister died. The cashiers (two) informed me if ai wasn't there to pay for a meal then I had to leave. The girl with the flashy fingernails was extremely rude and the young man working with her, backed her up. I tried to speak with either the Hotel Supervisor (left a message & Number, they never bothered to call.). Or the Supervisor at VIP/Players Club. He was too busy handing out ridiculous mini camp refrigerators to greedy players to bother with speaking to me. Tonight we had dinner at the Noodle Bar. My husband ordered the Beef Chow Mein and it was inedible. We let them know and were charged for the dish regardless. For 3 adults and .2 children under 12 the bill was $140.00. On the positive side, the big Bakery at the back of the Smokers Casino is very good and the prices are reasonable. We had the choice of staying in an Oakhurst Hotel or Chuckchansi. We elected to stay here at Chuckchansi and we all had terrible time. We are leaving a day early. I hope this review spares you reading this, an expensive unenjoyable stay at Chuckchansi Hotel and Casino.

I picked this locale for its convenience to visit both Bass Lake and Yosemite. There's actually a bus stop to go to Yosemite across the street if you want to avoid the trouble of finding parking, so that's convenient. I tipped the maid and she left me a sweet/professional thank you/welcome note. Again, the cleanliness is what stood out. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The town of Oakhurst is my favorite as it offers great amenities that are the closest to the best entrance to Yosemite in my opinion. Lets start with the food. This is one of the best culinary experiences I have had and it is consistently good. The three course or five course dining service is stellar. These chefs are some of the best in the world and Ive been all over the world. The leadership of Erica is not to be surpassed. She has an incredible calm spirit with a smiling happy crew that provides top notch service with warmth and class. The bartender Jordan is a delight with his great smile and kind eyes. The food experience made me feel like I was being nourished from the inside out not just with nutrition but with love and flavor that was new and revitalizing. This was my first stay at the Chateau Sureau. Oh my heart. I feel that I was healed and restored from a level of stress I dont think I realized I was carrying from our busy crazy noisy world at home. The property is exquisite with old world charm and the perfect patina of age that makes you feel you are in the old country of Paris or Austria or England. The landscape is stunning and it was raining so the fireplaces were roaring and the pines were glistening with silver drops backlit by an incredible sunset. The breakfast service is top notch and the staff is incredibly attentive. You know its good when you know each others names. Thanks to Lorenzo, Sienna, Logan, Jissel and Lori for incredible Chalet guest service. Then, there is the spa. I just had to go since I was feeling like my life was coming back to my ownership again. The Spa is gorgeous. The spa. director Way has been on this property for 20 years. I had the best facial and conversation with her. What a treasure she is. Kim was my massage therapist and she is one of the best I have ever had and my son at home is a therapist as well so I feel qualified to say so. I got to spend my time in the couples massage room which has stunning views, a balcony that looks out from the hot bubbling soaking tub that you get to use after your massage. I had a choice of oils to add and we went with elderberry which is incredible for soft skin. Its absolutely wonderful. The small scale in size lent itself to making connections with other guests that were fantastic and I made friends here while staying that will last! I will be back everytime I am in town. I was here on a rainy weeks end and it added to the magic. I can imagine what it is like in spring when the gorgeous grounds are covered in flowers blooming. I cant wait to see it again then or even next month for the holidays! Some may say there is some aging to the rooms but I say its perfect and if you have traveled to the Old Country in Europe this is part of the actual beauty and experience. Relish it!!

I also loved that the air conditioning was already on when we arrived--it made the room feel welcoming and comfortable right away. If you're staying here, I definitely recommend checking out Oakhurst Grill & Whiskey Lounge 41. The steak was delicious! Pandori Express, the Indian restaurant nearby, was also excellent. The continental breakfast was another highlight. The ladies taking care of the breakfast area were absolutely amazing and truly went above and beyond. They worked hard to keep everything clean, organized, and stocked, and they were so attentive to the guests. They really deserve to be recognized for their excellent service. The gentleman who checked us in that morning was also very helpful and provided great customer and suggestions. I would definitely give him five stars as well. I do have a couple of constructive observations that I hope management will take in the spirit intended. In the afternoon, there was a young lady with long hair at the front desk. I didn't get her name, but unfortunately, her customer service came across as though she didn't really want to be there. When you speak with her, she answers the question, but there isn't much eye contact or engagement. There was also no greeting or goodbye. At one point during breakfast, I mentioned to her that the coffee was out. She acknowledged it, but when we were leaving, I checked the same pot and the coffee still had not been refilled. I think some additional customer-service training could be helpful. A simple hello, eye contact, a friendly attitude, and a goodbye can make a big difference in a guest's experience. One other small observation was the bottom of the shower. It had a somewhat dirty appearance. I understand this may be partly due to the type of material or finish used, and I'm not necessarily saying it wasn't cleaned. However, the material seems to hold onto a look that makes the shower floor appear dirty even when it may be clean. It would be great if the hotel could find a better cleaning solution or consider a different finish/material that would eliminate that appearance. Overall, though, I had a good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and accommodating, and I would definitely come back. The breakfast staff and morning front-desk gentleman deserve special recognition for making our stay even better. I'm sharing the positives and the constructive feedback because I think this is a hotel with a lot going for it, and a few small improvements could make the guest experience even better. I would definitely recommend staying here! And the changes this would be a Five Star!

1/5 - Terrible Experience Due to Strong Pet Urine Odor…read more Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay. The first room we were given absolutely reeked of pet urine. The smell was so strong that we asked to be moved to another room, hoping it was just an issue with that particular room. Unfortunately, the second room also smelled like pet urine. At that point, we essentially spent the entire night breathing in the odor. Since the hotel windows do not open, there was no way to air out the room or get any fresh air. This is not a smell that can simply be covered up with air freshener or regular cleaning. When pet urine has soaked into carpeting, the carpet and potentially the padding underneath need to be properly treated or replaced. In my opinion, replacing the carpet with a hard-surface flooring such as plank flooring would make a significant difference, especially in a pet-friendly hotel. I understand that hotels allowing pets will occasionally have accidents in rooms, but guests should not be expected to stay in a room that smells strongly of urine--especially after already requesting a room change for the exact same issue. Overall, this was a terrible experience and made it extremely difficult to feel comfortable or enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, based on the condition of both rooms we were given, I would not recommend staying here unless the odor and flooring issues are properly addressed.

The Dining Hall is iconic and renovated, it's grand! Grand piano and piano player in both the Dining Hall and Lounge. Daily 4pm-5pm Tea and Cookie service (chocolate, oatmeal raisin, and one other I don't remember), perfect view to Half Dome, Breakfast Buffet ($32/person) and a separate Sunday buffet (with prime rib and Dungeness crab for $65/person). I thought the food was decent and some dishes were even very good. We also tried dinner at $95/person for a 5 course meal, and it was very good. The key is to get a good server at your table (ask the hostess to put you with the best one??). For example, while my family was having an excellent time, the table next to us for dinner had a horrible server, and the family stormed out of there without finishing their dinner since they waited 45 minutes and only had the first course brought out. However, our server Nancy was excellent. That's probably why there's so many bad reviews on Yelp, it really depends on the service you get and we got lucky with Nancy. Cons: The state of the rooms... very dated from the 60's? We stayed 3 nights at a premium room, and the good is that the AC worked great, and was spacious, but all the amenities were old. Shower pressure was slow , the sink basin was slow draining, the security box in the closet needed new batteries, our interior doors were hard to open/close (due to all the layers of paint over the years!). Would I return again? Yes... but will probably just find the lowest priced rooms since there's nothing special about their premium rooms and you'll feel ripped off. And if staying multiple nights, try Curry Village Pizza and the Mountain Room to switch things up since eating at the Ahwahnee is expensive. Tip: We got a 2 day advance notice that their elevators were down during our stay which was very annoying but then again, we're in Yosemite hiking and possibly climbing half dome and exercising, so I suppose it wasn't such a big deal climbing a few stairs, lol. Kindly ask for the manager at front desk before you check out and inquire if they can give you an adjustment to your bill for the inconvenience. Hope this review helps!

The Ahwahnee is huge and decorated with a Native American vibe. I loved all of the stone work and chandeliers. The massive stone fireplace in the lobby was awesome - I could picture how relaxing it must be in the Winter. We went to the bar and ordered drinks and appetizers while we waited for some of our group to come back from a hike - we ordered the Grilled Halloumi Cheese and Tomatoes, Albondigas and Potato Chips to share. For drinks, we ordered the Campfire Coffee, an Old Fashioned, a Lemon Drop and a mocktail for our daughter. Everything was really good - especially the Grilled Halloumi Cheese and Tomatoes. The Ahwahnee also had a gift shop and a candy store - plus conference room space. I obviously cannot comment on the rooms or check-in since we did not stay at The Ahwahnee, but all the staff that we encountered were friendly especially Tony at the bar who took great care of us. Overall, The Ahwahnee is a great place to check out and take in the views - they have a nice patio area with an amazing view of Half Dome. We'll be back again next time we're in Yosemite!

Management was so great with…read morecommunication, kind and accommodating, it made our trip that much more enjoyable since we did not have to stress over certain things like check in and parking. I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

It's places exactly like Tenaya Lodge that changed my mind. Tucked away in the fantastically-forested Fish Camp, Tenaya provides luxury and comfort in a way that is not at all ostentatious. Check-in can be hectic as two receptionists serve the entire place, but all the staff we encountered seem like they genuinely want to help, and the valets always got us our car in under five minutes. Our standard room is quite roomy and has a small balcony for watching birds and bats while we breathe in the warm mountain air. The pool situation is super, and every day we choose our own adventure between indoor and outdoor, both of which are heated. The indoor pool plays movies in the evenings, and I must say, Lego Batman exceeded expectations. There's even a climbing wall and an archery range, and my favorite, the nightly roasting of marshmallows around the fire pit. We had a blast. This resort has a whole vibe, the kind where kids can kid and adults can adult, and everyone can just enjoy themselves, mere miles from America's most beautiful national park.

The bathrooms are clean and the. Shower head with mobile shower head was very helpful to give bath to our toddler There is plenty of parking but you may have to park a bit farther depending upon time of year and day. The pool was full but we still enjoyed in it as well as splash zone. The jenga, corn in the hole, checkers, chess board, cards, gaming arcade, indoor pool with movies playing on the projector- they have perfect vacation package. The star of the first night was shuttle service to the pizzeria and back. Our kid loved the ride in the golf cart. The star of the second night was telescope pointing to moon, open for all the guests. But highlight definitely is marshmallow roasting and s'mores. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. We didn't have an opportunity to eat at embers or Deli but both pizzeria and jackalope offered delicious meals. We will definitely be back during Christmas or winter time. The facility is kept clean. The interiors are majestic and inviting. The paintings/ photos are stunning, almost a mini museum walls all around. Tip-There are showers inside the arcade restrooms which I found next day. Four stars only because we found either one of the elevators to be in maintenance mode throughout the stay. Also, the pool gates were left unlocked risking outsiders using the facility.

Overall it served its purpose for our night stay. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet until about 6:30 am then the traffic started up and you are close to the road so it's noisy. You can hear your neighbors talking. Nothing seems private. Best part is they had friendly cats that loved to hang out with you. Told Mark we need to start traveling with cat snacks. This is the 3rd or 4th place we've stayed at that has had cats. That doesn't bother us since we have four at home.

Behind it two twin beds put together with mismatched blankets. Two other rooms with beds and a kitchen which above the stove on the wall it looked like Christmas wrapping paper. The place smelled of mold. We immediately went back to the desk and said we would not stay there. She wanted to show us another room but we said no. We were getting the kids situated in their seats when she came out and offered to give a refund. Save your money don't stay at this sketchy place.
