This compact nature area has easy-to-see wetlands, good paths, boardwalks, forest trails, lots of shade, some stretches of sandy beach (though there're still many rocks) & a view of Lake Ontario. What's there not to like? Oh yeah, the parking. Though you're supposed to park at Jack Darling Memorial Park, the parking seems to overflow at peak periods. Parking near the Rattray Marsh might be tempting, but getting ticketed is a distinct possibility & you get higher fines ($100) from May to September south of Lakeshore Road. Perhaps parking on further streets (not those nearest the entrance) might be a better idea.

First and foremost Parking - there are 3 parking lots at Jack Darling park and getting a spot during peak hours can be a bit troublesome but we did get one after 5-10 mins of circling the lots. This is the best way to enter since there is no allocated spot at the start of Rattray marsh. Beautiful view of the lake, city and so many spots to just sit and relax - this place is perfect quick get away for the neighborhood as well as Mississauga residents. Enter the boardwalk from the Jack Darling park which is just 7-8 mins walk along the lake and then this boardwalk begins. We went after a decent snow day and the path was clear and easy to walk. The boardwalk does close after sunset as for the winter hours seems it's until 5pm. There are playing areas for kids as well at the Jack Darling park. Overall beautiful spot!

Great board walks feels great on my paws

This is a great place if you don't want to get your paws dirty . Big wooden board walk goes through a trial that lead to a beach . Lots of nature. This place is a must if you want to to go for a nice walk and keep clean.
