I went during the weekday so it wasn't too busy and was pretty quiet. Apparently it gets pretty busy on the weekends though. The park also has a BBQ area but it might be by permit only since I saw a sign posted of the parties who had reserved the area by permit. This spot would be perfect for a date/picnic, especially during the warm summer months. It makes a great gathering area for family friendly activities as well!

There are bus stops nearby but it may take a while (at least for me when I was too young to drive). Also, parking is pretty limited. Even though I don't have a dog, I found it cool that Jack Darling Park has an off leash dog park. I didn't realize it was one till I was volunteering at the tennis courts nearby years ago.

The 2 main buildings hide tennis courts, soccer field, small splash pad, BBQ area, paved hiking trail along a creek, & of course, rolling hills 'cause we're in The Valleys after all. If you're here for a BBQ/hike, park BEHIND the Gymnasium, entrance is to the West of that building. Hiking/biking trail that is along the creek is - I'll say it - better maintained and prettier than Erindale Park. It was soo pretty to come here on an unusually warm Fall day because it rains leaves... Again, review is based solely on the outdoors of the park - specifically the trail along the water.

Make sure to bring water, sunscreen and hat or umbrella. The trails were pretty well kept and had a mix of shade and unshaded areas. Most of the trails and picnic areas were pretty quiet and looked to be not very busy. I think there were some parts of the trails that were off leash dog areas. When we were there, the barn area wasn't really opened to the public (in terms of looking inside them).

This is a nice park with lots of hiking trails and lush woods, offering plenty of shades on a sunny day. The only trail that allows you to go down to the creek is #6 Half Moon Valley Trail. I would also recommend #4 Lookout Ravine Trail which is almost completely covered by trees and would be beautiful in the fall. You shouldn't miss the famous White Oak Tree, likely germinated since 1685 and at least 300 years old, close to parking lot A. The Spruce Lane Farmhouse is another highlight near parking lot F, which is a Victorian-style house showing visitors what life was like back then. The antique furniture, well-decorated rooms, farm equipment, and friendly volunteers wearing Victorian costumes gave us an immersive experience at the farm. The only problem is that the amenities are a bit dated, especially with the signage. The park staffs should hand out free maps as you enter the park, and there should be more directions as to where you are. I often had to rely on Google to check location and the pre-downloaded map from their website. The swimming pool remains under renovation as of summer 2024, so the park is not yet at its full potential.

Gord and I headed to Etienne Brule Park yesterday afternoon. We've never been to this park so it was fun to check it out. We headed up the Humber River and followed it to Dundas Street W. There are six dams and we saw salmon jumping in half of them. The changing leaves were gorgeous! Though we didn't see any salmon make it up and over, people were cheering and encourage the salmon. It was a fun afternoon and I'm glad we checked it out.

And if you are heading here like us to catch the sunrise, park your car in the bluffer's beach parking. We'll definitely be back to explore the area when it gets warmer.

There is a network of wide gravel paths with nice water views of Lake Ontario. I was disheartened to see a lot of trash in the park. There were benches and tables throughout the park, but most people were enjoying sitting on the rocks. Many were taking photos. There were also grills and the smell of barbeque hit me. The bluffs are quite majestic. There is a restroom near the start of the path. The day I visited there was an ice cream food truck onsite. There is a large parking area which I had to circle multiple times before a space became available and when I left it took me over 20 minutes to get out of the lot and onto the main road. The Scarborough Bluffs are approximately 40 minutes from the Toronto airport .

Right by the parking lot and washroom facilities there is a small pond with a bridge where many…read moreducks and geese flock to since there's people feeding them bread. The Humber River Recreational Trail goes through this park. It's a nice walk by the Humber River with lots of trees and various trails that stem from the main one. There are 2 paths; one for walking and the other for mixed use (walking, cycling, jogging). Dogs must be kept on a leash and there's plenty of signs posted advising of coyotes in the area.

There are spacious areas of grass great for picnics and photoshoots. I went on a Friday afternoon and amount of people was not a whole lot which helped with social distancing. There are a lot of geese near the pond with the turtle statue so walking in one perimeter of it was not a positive experience.
