Beautiful, clean. Great place for a walk or picnic. Parking is hard to come by but it's ok. Great place to walk or play or take pics. I've been there for some walkathon type events and that was great too. Good space for things like that. Overall a fun place to go, especially in the fall when it's so pretty with all the colored leaves. If you are in the area and aren't sure what to do, it's a great place to run or walk or even sit outside and draw or read. Not many big parks like this around. A friend likes to go there and take pics and I tag along, just cuz it's nice to get outside and walk around. I love it so I'd like to say more but I can't think of what I've forgotten to mention. I guess just keep in mind there is construction on Dundas and by the entrance right now. read more

It's great park for walks. It is really popular spot during spring to fall. Trails were pretty wide so you can be walking along side people biking and a family walking with a stroller. Also, the park is very scenic and photographable (even if you just your phone). The downside: Parking is pretty hard to find during the few times I have visited. read more

Moved a tree off the pathway after a rainstorm. Other then that, paths were clear. The parking lots do get crowded, however the people walking the trails keep their distances. Would love to see the gravel paths paved for an even ground to walk on. read more

In a city that is known for its four-lane swaths of asphalt slicing up the city, copy-paste subdivisions, gel-topped guys who say "safe," gargantuan shopping malls, a mayor as old as time itself, and one-hour bus rides on MT (no matter what the destination), lies this quiet oasis away from it all. Erindale Park is located near Dundas and Missisauga road. It hugs the University of Toronto's Missisauga Campus (formerly Erindale Campus) and is a stone's throw away from the Mississauga golf and country club. The park is bifurcated by the Credit River which lends to the spectacular natural beauty of this place. You almost forget you're in a city populated almost entirely by customized Honda Civics and urban sprawl. I think it's a great place for a jog, a picnic, or "a wander" with a digital SLR. There are also built in BBQs for your convenience. And of course, because it's in Mississauga, there is a massive parking lot greeting you as you enter. Hurray! For any sort of activity an individual/group needs is offered by Erindale Park. Easily the largest park in the city of Mississauga. Accommodating to sports playing groups, tanning divas, picnickers , joggers, fishing lovers, mothers walking with strollers, Toboggans hills and much much more. Fellow hikers: Only a few main trails with very predictable routes. This is a fun place to go if you are looking for fast variety. You get fast downhill, grueling steep climbs, super fast single track, few extreme technical twists and an excellent warm-up and cool-down rides. Fellow Joggers : can't help ya here. I hate jogging. Fellow picnicker's - No need to bring your own BBQ, the picnic section have installed BBQ's and benches for large groups. There's 1 section to the far right, after you cross the bridge with a bbq, benches seating up to 50+people with a roof over (in case of rain etc). The portion of the lake is very busy with fishing fanatics. It's fun to walk alongside the path to see who catches the most :p . On the far right end, the path is the main land and flat for mothers with strollers and joggers/calm or steadfast walkers. NOTE: ** if you are part of the Geocaching community there is a hidden box on the middle uphill singletrack fast trail. Situated around the Credit River, along with a lovely well-maintained river trail gives this park a spot on the hidden gem list. Don't miss out on a hidden trail that leads on top of the cliff for a birds eye view of the river snaking through shrubbery and trails: look for the UTM Nature trail tucked secretly inside the park. read more

Note: They are currently replacing the watermains along Dundas Street, SO it is extremely difficult to exit the Park *if* you want to go East on Dundas Street. There is no traffic light and a steady two-way traffic. It's best to go West and make a u-turn at Mississauga Rd. I hate to admit this, but this place is in desperate need of REVITALIZATION! No exaggeration, this place has been the exact same for at least a decade...and not really in a good way. Once you're on the park grounds, there are no public washrooms on-site. During my visit, on the first very hot day of Spring, it looked as though they were renovating the urine saunas that are in the parking lot. What needs improvements: 1. Trails - "Rustic" is a euphemism for the state of things. There are dirt, paved, and gravel trails. Most of them are unkept and come to a dead-end. The dirt (more like mud) trails look as though a truck drove through them. Terrible if you have a stroller as they are uneven. It would be beneficial if there were actual set trails that go through various sceneries and join up; 2. Benches - There is no rhyme or reason for how these benches are placed. Some face the Credit River, while others face away, and others face a trail, completely exposed, no shade, very random; 3. Trees - Unkept. Tons of fall/dead trees that aren't trimmed back or cleared away; 4. Zero Draw - No fountain, café, buskers/street performers, waterpark, splash pad, zoo, or anything that prevents me from driving to High Park instead. The City needs to seriously consider putting some of our tax dollars BACK into this park to get people to go here other than attending a "family picnic". I understand the argument that nature shouldn't be "touched", but it surely needs to be MAINTAINED, especially if it's City property. There is soo much potential here, but it is just wasted. Just a greenspace with disjointed, uneven, dead-end trails. This place needs a landscaper/City Planner or whomever job it is to make trails and plan parks! read more

Beautiful large park located in Mississauga along the CreditView river and UTM campus. There are multiple picnic areas, large open spaces and a paved trail for walking and biking. We saw quite a few fishers so guessing it's a good spot for that. There is a beautiful bridge that looks over the water. We did see a coyote when we were out at dusk, so beware. Otherwise a beautiful park. read more

I'm fishing. The sound of the water is hypnotic. I'm sitting about 1.5 KM upstream from where i parked my car and the sun is out and the smell of the grass and trees is strong from the rain this morning. Its like a zen state to be sitting here with a little tranquil pocket in the middle of the city. I've caught 2 small rock bass and tossed them back for another day. This is how you purge yourself of stress from a busy week. On another note, there is a playground down by where i parked, and barbecue pits and picnic tables, a gazebo on the other side of the river, lots of open spaces, and pathways for joggers, walkers, and people with dogs. Probably not a bad place to ride a bike too so i may have to give that a shot. Maybe some cross country skiing in the winter. Last year we booked a section with parks & rec. for a family gathering away from everyone so we had a nice space by the east parking lot with tables and we brought a barbecue and had a great time on a sunny day tossing a frisbee and kicking a soccer ball with the kids and a Nerf gun battle and good food and no real restrictions since everyone is outside. Not a bad place i must say. The bottom line is, its there so enjoy it. read more

Sometimes a nice stroll down here on a beautiful day makes all the difference in turning around your day and realizing how pretty nature is. I love this park, growing up in Mississauga my dad use to bring me here for bike rides and from that day, It made me appreciate nature and what Mississauga has to offer. Whenever I'm having a rough day and everything feels off, I come here to clear my mind and realize how intensely pretty Erindale Park is. Even during a cloudy day like today ... (minus the rain) this is where you want to be. Large open fields for picnics, wide walking/biking lanes and the credit river all come together to create the ultimate park. Take a stroll with a coffee in hand, sit around, have a picnic, watch the sunset or star gaze. Whatever that may be, you'll be sure to have a great time. Dress accordingly ! read more

This is an awesome as Its the biggest park in Mississauga. This is a great place for picnics and watching the leaving change colour. I saw a lot of people fishing as a river flows through the park as well. There was plenty of free parking and picnic tables available and BBQ spots. read more

We come here all the time. It's our dog's favorite park; so he barks. Our most recent trip was to observe the Salmon lifecycle. It is a little bit of a touristsy place, tonnes of people take picture of the fall colors and of the fish. Only down side is finding parking, there are like only 6 spots. read more
