Picnic area! Entrance @ far right parking lot

My guilty pleasure, though I also have a love-hate relationship with this place during the summer! It is such a beautiful spot in Toronto; many people come here for photoshoots, and to enjoy the beach and the scenery around :) It is a huge area to explore, and it is perfect for a cute beach date or a family picnic outing. I had the perfect day one a the Bluffs this summer. It was late June; it JUST stopped pouring, and the sky cleared up so well. We spontaneously hopped into the car and drove straight there. Plentiful parking, the beach had very few people... I think others are probably still processing the bizarre weather we had at that time. We set out our umbrella tent (it was a ginormous umbrella lol), and enjoyed the nice breeze, summer sun, and the most beautiful sunset :) . . . On the down side, it is super busy during the summer, so don't even think about coming in the afternoon. Police will be in the area to monitor and limited how many people can go in. Parking is ridiculous. I've actually seen many people hike in from Kingston Road just to get to the Bluffers beach/park. It's a love/hate relationship lol.

These bluffs stretch for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east. The Scarborough Bluffs are a significant geological feature resulting from the accumulation of sedimentary deposits over 12,000 years ago. They were formed by the natural processes of wind and water erosion from Lake Ontario. There are 11 parks along this entire area and about of them have parking lots for people to access and hike around the area...most of them do not have access to the beach.

This is a great spot to have a barbecue with family and/or friends or to bring people visiting from out of town. I knew that parking wasn't free and we'd have to pay (there's a Green P lot), but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it's free Monday to Friday until 5 pm.  It was a very sunny, hot, and humid summer day, and with the park mostly out in the open, there wasn't much tree shade to get some relief. The walking paths are wide, so it's unlikely you'll bump into other people visiting the park. There's a pond with two bridges that go across it. One of the bridges was open, and there was even someone fishing there. Not sure if they caught anything though. Just a little further is a small beach.

Doesn't look like much when you walk by, but thats because most of the roads/schools near it are at the top of the Bluffs. When you venture down, or drive to the bottom, you'll see an amazing area full of photographic potential. The Bluffs themselves are so futuristic; carved from a brave man or woman, whoever designed these really knew what they were doing. The cuts and edges of imperfection speak to the reality of the designs themselves, the team that put this together must have worked for at least weeks to construct this. Pros: The Peak and top areas are really great for photo content Cons: The Peak itself is not swept/mopped on a daily basis making the path dirty for your feet/footware

One of my favourite places to enjoy quality time with some friends or family. You can hike, bbq, have a picnic, go swimming - there are countless activities! Many great spots to take photos plus enjoy the beautiful view!

Scarborough Bluffs is a 15 kilometer long cliff with 11 different parks. The Yelp address will take you to the Scarborough Crescent Park (give you top view of the cliff) while Bluffer's Park (1 Brimley Road S, Toronto, ON M1M 1T9) offers an amazing landscape view of the entire cliff. Scarborough Crescent Park (based on the Yelp address - 61 Under Cliff Drive, Toronto, ON M1N 3Z5): It is a pretty small park and the edge is barricaded with the fences. Due to the fences and tall trees, I could only get somewhat limited view of the cliff. Bluffer's Park: This is the park that will give you one of the best bottom level view of the bluffs. Not only does the park have free designated parking lot, there is even a scenic trail to lakefront and a restroom near the parking lot. If you want to get the most out of this trip and are short on time, then just drive directly to Bluffer's Park and skip Scarborough Crescent Park. It is worth an exra 30-minute drive from downtown Toronto for this breathtaking view.

I almost forgot to post this. A nice place for a walk on a not too hot weekday during the pandemic. It's not fully open but still worth the free visit. Washrooms open and ice cream truck on site.

Scarborough Bluffs, Scarborough Bluffs Park, Bluffer's Park - a newbie's head would be swimming trying to figure out what is what. Scarborough Bluffs "stretch for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east"..."The Scarborough Bluffs are made up of several different parks. To visit the waterfront, beach and marina at 'The Bluffs', please follow Brimley Road South to the Lake". The only public access to the lake is at Bluffer's Park." (excerpt from the Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation webpage). So in plain English if you want to see the park, marina or beach at the bottom of the bluffs go to Bluffer's Park 1 Brimley Road S. Toronto. If you want to see the Scarborough Bluffs from the top view you want to go Scarborough Bluffs Park. Now to get to Scarborough Bluffs Park plug in the address 61 Under Cliff Drive Toronto into your GPS, then when you get to the park you can park your car in the neighborhood or if you are lucky you can turn into Cecil Crescent in between the tennis courts and find a parking space even closer to the edge of the bluffs, free parking can you believe it? There are crowds that are there just to take pictures at the edge of the bluffs, but there is lots of room at the park to have a nice picnic, play some volleyball or a game of frisbee. Bring the dogs, bring the kids but keep them away from the edge of the bluffs. There is a playground, splash pad (there's no rule saying that only kids can play in the water), drinking fountains and porta potties. The view is breathtaking! The marina, beach, spires, and the deep blue expanse which is Lake Ontario can all be seen from here. Don't just be a tourist and take selfies at the edge of the bluffs. Put down a blanket have a picnic, play some touch football, play fetch with your dog then take off your shoes and walk through the fountains at the splash pad. Life is too short to speed walk through this lovely park.

Warning: yelp address is wrong. Takes you to a weird place that is definitely not the Bluffs. Also tried the google maps address which takes you to a small park at the top of the bluffs. There's a nice view of Lake Ontario but not much else. Take Brimley all the way south. Parking lot is at the very end. Bluffs are decent. It doesn't take long to visit/ take pictures of the actual Bluffs though. But there are some walking paths there that are nice.

Beautiful spot for heading to the beach or sitting at the lakeside. Ideal for BBQing with family and friends. I enjoyed walking along the lakeshore at Scarborough Bluffs. Serene spot!

You know Billy Joel's Uptown Girl? Well replace the Up with Down and switch pearls and penthouses for costume jewelry and dive bars and you've got me. Getting me out of the downtown core, and into a car no less, ain't easy. I'll kick, scream, and develop the suburban sweats. "How long until we return? Should I bring a snack!!? Where are the cyclists?!?!" Enter an afternoon romp to Scarberia. It took far less time than I was expecting, and I was absolutely floored by the beauty of the Bluffs! I know, I know, Scarborough isn't like the Miss or Markham and is actually part of Toronto, but I still thought it would take much longer. We did get a little bit lost right around the Bluffs, but once there what a hike! What a white sand beach! What kind of wild Mediterranean-looking paradise is this just to the east of Toronto! I imagine if you go on a Saturday in the summer it's grossly packed, but on any other day I look forward to working towards my Bluff buff status.

I saw in another Yelper's post that it had the price for Green P (Municipal) parking but when I was there and it was the month of May I didn't see any posting for lot number or machine to actually accept payment for either Bluffer's park lots. I was like... OK so I'm not going to pay then... If you're looking for the address for the park itself (low ground level) and not the cliffs above you're looking for: 1 Brimley Road South as a GPS address. I'm not quite sure what the 1859 Kingston road is all about... During the week and time we went it was VERY quiet and there were hardly any people around at all which was a nice change from the last time I can even remember going to see the Bluffs. Perhaps the parking enforcement which is only certains months of the year will actually be enforced this week? Calm water on good days, walkways on the inlet side and good, green areas to walk. Lots of bugs now though but not mosquitoes thankfully... This is one of the very few places in the city of Toronto that actually make you feel that you're not in the 4th largest city on the continent because besides the houseboats and a handful of homes on the cliff you can barely see any buildings at all. On a good day it can be a quiet oasis and on during hotter months on a weekend (prime time) it can be packed. Either way it's definitely a nice place to get a little variation of "relief" in our mostly flat town. When I say flat I mean no mountains flat... and no the Niagara escarpment doesn't count as a "mountain" because it's barely a hill.
