The fountain is also really pretty with tall big bushy tree's surrounding the area. Just breathing the air is calming. Just remember to wear some bug repellent because man are there a lot of mosquitoes, i got bit like crazy. If you continue along the path past the deck you'll find yourself at a trail that winds around into a mini forest. It has nice log's you can sit down and take a break on or benches available as well. I did not see any duck poop on the trail or deck so that problem must've been fixed. Glad they listened! Will definitely come back again for a nice stroll.

Tucked away in midtown Toronto, Sherwood park offers a paved path that travels alongside a creek, a…read morebaseball diamond, plenty of grassy and wooded area, a playground and wading pool/water fountain for kids and a lovely off-leash area for dogs. The off-leash is at the far east end of the park. It's wide dirt pathways are fenced in, to prevent dogs from damaging the greenery, although small dogs with a healthy sense of mischief can easily wiggle through the fence. In June 2010 a new boardwalk pathway was added, descending down a hill to a looped pathway around the creek. The fence is removed in this lower area, providing an opportunity for dogs to romp in the water without breaking the rules. One noticeable problem with the off-leash area is the lack of garbage bins, so be prepared to tote that unpleasant baggie of dog poop until you re-enter the main park area. In the summertime the playground is packed with children and their nannies, your kids will mostly likely find friendly playmates among them. The dog park hosts a number of professional dog walkers, don't be surprised if you round a corner and run into 5+ wagging tails in a group, all competing for your attention.

There were Rangers available at the entrance to the hike (not sure if this is normal, or just because of the toronto open days weekend). They were really helpful and offered great recommendations for the hikes, The hike we chose was fairly easy,although it was confusing at times due to the signage. We very rarely get lost, however on this hike we got lost at least twice and had to back track. But apart from that it was still a great time.

There's parking space for about two dozen cars and a wonderful children's playground just off Brimley Road. Beyond that, one can take a long walk through a swath of parkland with a few benches to stop and soak in the surroundings. Free (funded by general taxpayers). Clean. Tranquil. A brief escape from the realities of daily life for most, including myself.

The menu offers light bites, drinks, and sweet treats, with heartier options like wood-fired pizza and grilled dishes on summer music nights. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the seasonal hours make it a lovely warm-weather destination. A hidden gem for a relaxing coffee or snack surrounded by nature. Review for the Kidstown Water Park…read more This place is awesome. It's actually pretty big. Lots of different areas for the kids to play. My son had a lot of fun. There's quite a few lifeguards everywhere, monitoring everything. The Park doesn't allow pictures, and the guards are pretty quick to enforce that rule. There is ample parking, and it wasn't too overcrowded when we visited on a hot Summers day. Can't believe this place is free!

There is a network of wide gravel paths with nice water views of Lake Ontario. I was disheartened to see a lot of trash in the park. There were benches and tables throughout the park, but most people were enjoying sitting on the rocks. Many were taking photos. There were also grills and the smell of barbeque hit me. The bluffs are quite majestic. There is a restroom near the start of the path. The day I visited there was an ice cream food truck onsite. There is a large parking area which I had to circle multiple times before a space became available and when I left it took me over 20 minutes to get out of the lot and onto the main road. The Scarborough Bluffs are approximately 40 minutes from the Toronto airport.
