This park feels so alive and full of life and colour. We took such a nice walk here and there were beautiful flowers in every corner of the park. It felt super vibrant and relaxing. I would definitely recommend coming here for a date or even with your dog on a casual stroll.

After spending the beginning of my day at a museum, I decided to check out this garden. I went here on a Tuesday around 4:05pm and there wasn't much people, which I didn't expect it to be crowded anyways. This garden is connected to the Toronto Botanical Gardens and is very small. I spent a little less than an hour there. The day I went to this garden, there were A LOT of bees! Not sure if it was just the day I went or because of all the flowers, but the flowers are pretty! Another thing I liked about this garden were the amount of benches to sit at and also the mini waterfalls they have. I ended up sitting there for awhile and it was nice to have a place to sit and relax at with a nice view. I'd recommend this place! It's a nice little garden and a great way to pass time if you just want to sit somewhere outside and relax.

The garden connects to the Toronto Botanical Garden, and is also free. Pay a nominal fee for parking and enjoy both areas full of blossoms and gorgeous foliage. The Edward Gardens also features running water, with multiple bridges that cross it. The weeping willow trees are lovely.

I came here with my friends on Canada Day for the first time, and it was a good walk on the weekend. Many people were having barbeque parties with their friends and family. But walking wasn't too crowded because everyone stayed in their own space. I will return next time to take another path to see if there are other areas that I have not yet walked into. Overall, the park is good for daily walk and jogging.

Edward Gardens is a beautiful park with lots of hiking trails. My family and I took a morning scroll in the park during fall and it was stunning. The creeks were covered with autumn leafs with reflection of trees in its surroundings. Autumn flowers were in full blossom! Special thanks to all the staff who works at the park for taking such a good care of the space!

Edwards Gardens is a beautiful no-admission fee botanical garden and park located in the Don Valley. The entrance is on the southwest corner of Leslie Street and Lawrence Avenue East. Just a few steps away from the parking lot is the Dembroski Centre, where you will find a gift shop, information booth and library. A few steps further takes you to The Garden Cafe for a small selection of food and drinks. Washrooms are located right outside, and are clean and well stocked. The gardens are a popular spot for wedding and photo shoots (you will need a permit and pay a fee). I have been here at least a dozen times over the years, and find it's a nice walk after a heavy meal! I still enjoy bringing my camera to capture the numerous evergreen and willow trees, flowerbeds, bridges and statues. You will also encounter some ducks, squirrels, and I have been told groundhogs as well (I have yet to see one though ...lol). There are plenty of benches to sit at, and I like to find one in a shaded area. It can be quite serene listening to the water trickling from Willet Creek. While parking used to be free, as of July 2, 2019, the cost is now $2.50/hour. I would highly recommend it for visitors, or if it is your first time.

There are cherry blossoms here, although far fewer than you'd find at high park. Edward Gardens is a beautiful park to go for a scenic walk with beautiful views on a high ground overlooking the park. There is also a gift shop and a couple of garden enters to purchase plants. We bought a Butterwort, which is a carniverous plant that feeds on bugs. Super cool! It's pretty close to Shops at Don Mills which makes for a great date to go shopping and dinner after.

GREAT spot! Loved this walk. Autumn might be the best time of the year to visit this majestic garden! I had a ton of fun walking the endless trail. There was so much nature and so many great photogenic areas to make your own! Definitely come here. If you have a hot date, I wouldn't hesitate if you want to make a great impression and pretend you care about nature and walking in general. 5/5 !

It's a gorgeous close to the Victoria Day long weekend! A comfortable 20 degrees Celsius & beautiful sunshine for taking a relaxing nature walk in a City of Toronto park. This beats being in traffic coming back from the cottage on the busy GTA highways, unless you happen to own a cottage! Pay and display parking is $2.50 per hour with a two hour limit at Edwards Gardens. Enforcement is 24/7 as per the posted signage. Enjoy this beautiful botanical gardens located on the southwest corner of Leslie Street and Lawrence Avenue E. Huge trees, perennial flowers (...including Peonies which will blossom in the coming weeks) wildlife and paved pathways zig zag throughout the forested parkland. Some areas are closed off by fencing as construction is in progress or paused for the time being due to COVID-19 measures. There are many park benches to sit, relax and let your mind wander. Washrooms and a Cafe are open for business (which is a relief no matter which venue you choose).

A great place to visit whether for a casual walk or an event. Love that it is free to walk around in, but that means it can get s little busy. Great for Pokémon go players!

Edwards Gardens is a beautiful park and botanical garden. It features walking trails, a pretty bridge, a small waterfall, and best of all, nature. The plants include flowers, herbs and shrubs. I love the large weeping willow trees. This park is a gem that is well worth a visit! It's the kind of place that allows you to relax on a bench and forget that you are so close to the big city. There are often ducks and geese around as well as bridal parties taking advantage of the gorgeous photo ops. The amenities include a gift shop, cafe and lots of free parking. Adjoining Edwards Gardens is Wilket Creek Park which has more extensive forest trails.

Ok..seriously....this place is a few minutes drive from where I live...but I've never been! Finally decided to change that last week. Edwards Gardens and Toronto Botanical Gardens are free for the public to visit (free parking too! Although you can make a donation in the parking lot machines if you wish to help support the gardens, but totally not necessary). They even offer free 90 minutes tours of the gardens (check the website for the days/times as it is not every day they do so). The tours are run by volunteers, in fact, a lot of the staff (I believe about 400) are volunteers! Amazing! There are so many plants, trees, flowers, greenhouse, a kitchen garden, bridges, fountains, benches and sculptures throughout here - it's just amazing! As you can imagine, weddings and big parties are just beautiful to have here. The tour is pretty interesting and informative -pointing out various plant life, information about those plants, the history of the gardens, etc. You feel like the 90 minutes fly by! And you get a very good tour of the entire grounds - you see so many different plant life it's really eye opening! There are greenhouses here, there is a small kitchen garden that volunteer staff run (the produce is used to give to food banks/shelters in the area we were told). The only small issue is...the signage for the parking is a bit weird (and small). I missed it twice and was driving in circles..lol (I'll just blame my GPS). I went on a weekday so it wasn't busy at all..but I can see how on weekends it would be busy - especially summer with people wanting to take lots of photos. The volunteer told us there are summer concerts that happen here, as well as various lectures. Check the website for more info. I'm glad I finally made my way here - it's just a beautiful spot to relax. I saw several people with their sketchpads, paints/easels out - painting the gardens :)

LOL - I can't believe I've never written a review for this park that is literally in my backyard!…read more I've been going to Sunnybrook since I was a kid - my dad used to play cricket here with his work friends on the weekdays and I would have to come along and just chill in the park. The main entrance (for cars) is Leslie St (Leslie and Eglinton) and there are many parking lots as you drive though and many off side parking on the "street". This park goes on forever, so just keep driving through until you find a spot that you want to stop at. Some areas are smaller than others, but as you continue to move further into the park, you'll come across wide open fields where they play all the sports (cricket, soccer, baseball, etc) There are SOME grills here (although not sure if they were removed due to COVID), so definitely bring your own. You'll find plenty of open and/or shaded areas to enjoy a picnic or a snooze :) You can also bike in here and take a stroll among the many trails. Also, the Toronto Botanical Gardens and Edwards Gardens have a trail that lead right into Sunnybrook - sometimes it's nice to park a the Gardens, and walk into the park for lovely views. There used to be a horse barn/stables/horse riding in the middle of the park, but unfortunately a few years ago it burned down to to some people having a fireworks party (or prank - not sure which ) close to the stables. Very sad. There are washrooms located here (the main one being around parking lots 6-8) and it is clean (as far as park bathrooms go) I come here fairly often in the summer to have a quiet picnic and just relax. Truly one of the great things to do on a day off.

It's also a 5 minute walk from the Eglinton TTC station if you plan to get there by public transportation. The park itself is a large plot of green space that is regularly maintained by the City of Toronto. There are two open softball diamonds where I have seen league games played. I've even seen the diamonds maintained by the Toronto Blue Jays Community Care Foundation. There's also a regulation soccer field but on some summer weekdays and Saturday mornings, it is converted to about 8-10 mini soccer fields where toddlers between 4-8 years old (my best guess) chase a soccer ball around the field. On down times, it is popular among the dog owners in the area. There is no fenced off-leash area but it is large enough for dogs to run off-leash and play fetch. The latest development is the kiddies play structure. Built over the Fall of 2014 and opened before year's end, the new structure is among the largest I've seen in a public park. There's plenty of apparatuses for the kids to climb, slide down and do. The ground surface is a soft, bouncy synthetic material. It probably saves some kids from crying and saves parents from cleaning up sand in the house. There is also a circular concrete space that doubles as both a labyrinth for people to follow to de-stress and as a wading pool when filled with water. It's been very popular among the children with the hot temperatures we've been having recently. The community centre does offer parking but I don't think they let anyone in until after 10am and similarly, street parking nearby is permit only from midnight until 10am. But like I mentioned earlier, it's a short walk from the Eglinton TTC station and you can even take the 32 bus from the station to get dropped off right in front of the community centre. For me, I like to run laps around the outer edge of the park and there is a hill close to the community centre. Each lap with a run up the hill is 1km so it's a good spot if you're training for a running race and want to track your distance. If I've made the park sound like it has lots to offer, then I've done my job and I do suggest checking it out if you're looking for something to do in the city, especially if you have restless children (or dogs).
