The White Sox fans are hard core so be prepared to be booed if you come in anything but White Sox attire. Good food and had a great time!
Its been ages since I've last visited the White Sox stadium, now Rate Field. There have been a number of upgrades over the years and the improvements are all for the better. For one, food and drink have stepped up a lot. My cousin and I came to see the White Sox destroy the Oakland A's 14-1. A lopsided win for sure but a win nonetheless. A third of the time we walked the grounds, drank, people watched and checked out the shops. We walked past one of the lots, can't remember if it was lot G, but plenty of folks were there spending the entire day tailgating. It's pretty common and if you are able to land a spot in the lot, it's probably one of the best things you can do. We drove in but parked at the ITT lot because all the nearby lots close to 35th street dogs required prepaid coupon. The walk from ITT isin't that bad. It's like 5 minutes. We came on a clear night where they had the fireworks show post-game. I had a nice time and visiting Rate Field to watch the Sox play is one for the summer bucket list in Chicago.
Recently came to a baseball game and had a great time. Affordable tickets with great views and it was very clean. We had a great experience!
Gotta love it when the LA Dodgers take over Chicago! I went to the game on June 13th, 2026 and saw the Dodgers dominate the Sox as always. 2025 MLB World Series MVP, Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a perfect game through 7 innings. Then, Mookie Betts had an error at shortstop, and then a guy on the Sox hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th to ruin the shut out. Dodgers win 7-1. I liked walking around the park as this park might have the most statues of any park I've ever been to. I got my picture with Mark Buehrle, Charles Comiskey, and plenty of other White Sox legends. The concourses definitely feel a little tight and old. I don't know what the latest updates are on the Sox getting a new stadium, but this stadium isn't as bad as the Internet makes it out to be. Easy to get here on the train. Getting an uber to leave the game is a nightmare.
Absolutely loved my experience at Rate Field. I was excited to try new food choices, which we definitely did, and to see improvements since the last time I was there. We sat in the 300 level seats, so it was an option to order to your seat, which was very nice. The seats were excellent views of the field and scoreboard. Foods we tried: Polish Sausage- wow with the onions, yeah great Bulgogi Egg Rolls- just don't overthink it and order them, unbelievable Cookie Dough- ugh, not my thing, cold maybe would be better Sushi- great, cute, even comes with a vile of soy sauce Korean Dog- I did not try, but the friends said it was really good Nachos- GREAT, you can get them with the helmet Parking in the B lot was a breeze and you can tailgate, getting out, still a ton faster than Dodger Stadium!
First time at a Sox game and we had a blast! Sox vs Royals, we didn't secure the win and those Royals fans came out deep and proud! We all had a great time at the game! The weather was great, hot and humid lol we sat in section 152 which was perfect! Shaded area and close to all the great eats! We had some veggie pierogis, veggie hot dogs, nachos, beer and that s'mores milkshake! Omg! I was on a hunt for the milkshake and it didn't disappoint! All the food was amazing! It was easy to get to the game, very minimal traffic, parking was easy to find and a very short walk to the ballpark. It's a great ballpark, nice, clean and organized. Easy to navigate through and the concession folks were nice.
Rate Field was wonderful. RF is a baseball park the way they should be. Access was drop dead easy with the CTA. I arrived without a ticket 10-minutes before a game and was able to catch "Thunderstruck" as the game was beginning. I found the staff members very friendly and affable. Finding our seats was easy and even though we sat in the 500s our view was good. Bathrooms are ridiculously clean for a ballpark. There is easy water refilling stations throughout the concourse which made our visit on a hot day easy. The food options are tremendous as well. I can see why RF has a great reputation for food. The actual field and board are also great. I am really happy I visited with my kid. I only wish I could visit more.
Great Sunday day game experience--excellent gluten-free options and Hello Kitty fun! We visited Rate Field for a Sunday day game to catch the Sox and grab the Hello Kitty package. Overall, it was a fantastic first experience! A huge tip for anyone going to a weekend game: pre-pay for your parking. It completely sold out, so we were incredibly glad we bought ours in advance. We parked in Lot C, and it was a surprisingly short, easy walk straight to the stadium. As someone looking for gluten-free (GF) options, I really appreciated that they have a QR code you can scan for a list of concessions to see exactly what can be made GF. The only downside is that while they do offer gluten-free fries, they are only available up in the 300 section. We were seated in the 100 section, but we still had great options. We were able to get a GF hot dog and a GF pizza. The pizza is a personal-sized whole pizza that takes about 5-7 minutes to bake. I loved that they actively try to avoid cross-contamination by placing the pizza on foil. If you just need a quick snack, they also have a convenient grab-and-go section with drinks, chips, and peanuts (which are explicitly listed as GF). It was a wonderful first visit, and we will definitely be back for another game!
Good stadium. The team is trying to turn it around so better fans in the crowd. Much better young talent on the field. Fun place to be. Food was good. Ice cream was standard. Mascot photo in the kids clubhouse in the 5th inning. But you can't enter unless you have a kid!
Great Stadium , great to bring friends and family and have a beautiful time and watch some baseball
We had so much fun with the patio E love. Free food and drinks. Gsme was dope. Go white Sox.
Editing this before first pitch and this is why: was eagerly awaiting to go eat at Lucky's as it was close to our seats the other day, but since we ate at the ChiSox Bar and Grill because of the rain delay and I was full, I planned on eating there tonight. Well, tonight we did not get 100 level tickets so we couldn't even go on the concourse !!!!! WTF? This is my 24th baseball stadium and I've never heard of such stupidity--- I guess you don't want me to spend my money where you have better food choices than crappy $5 hot dogs ( although I got an $8 plus Vienna one.. and it sucked) From a 4 star to a two star review....Also, what if it was our first time at the stadium like two days prior, and we wanted to see all the statues, etc., and get a feel for the stadium but could not??? So, two games here and done . Too bad, great stadium and the BEST fans but GO CUBBIES Second time here in 2 days. The good: *easily accessible by rail *dedicated and diehard fans (one youngest kid, mid 20s? And obviously had been drinking, apparently bumped into my husband, unbeknownst to him, and tracked my husband down about five minutes later to apologize. I mean, who does that? Very impressive.) *beautiful stadium/ great scoreboards with pertinent stats *awesome organist *huge 2 story team store with lots of merch and several life size bobble heads *dedicated first time game booth with certificates and button ( thanks Allie!) * What appears to be a fantastic kid zone, but if you don't have kids under 12, you can't go in. Keeps out the pervs and I respect that * Very friendly and helpful security (Carl at the 100 level) /ushers/employees *lots of statues, history ( mostly on the 100 level) *several restrooms, kept clean with attendants right there *lots of food choices including perogies/ empanadas combos --couldn't get this either :( * Fun fan giveaways ( got my pope hat!) with fantastic lineup . Pregame band and continuous theming all day * the option to pay a fee to guarantee you will get a giveaway if you can't make it to the stadium early Cons: * so we were able to walk in with water bottles, but security at the gate took our plastic bag holding them ; for what purpose I don't know? Wanted to put our giveaways and dirty ice cream helmets in there. *the ice cream was terrible , and I rarely complain about ice cream * Not sure why you don't offer women's Jewelry such as FOCO, BaubleBar, etc. Missing a huge market. Same for Montana West and Dooney purses *once again security not letting fans onto the 100 level on pope night ( 8/11)
Elite MLB experience in the city of Chicago. The stadium is always clean and there are plenty of food and beverage outlets. Not a bad seat in the house

We had a great time at the rate field for the Sox vs yankees game! Great seats are easy to get and on the affordable side (thanks to the sox current poor record). The mascot interacted with my cousins kid and an umpire even threw him a ball! Security wasn't overbearing and staff was helpful in finding our section. They have some decent food options in the stadium as well. Really what's to complain about? I'd love to come back soon. read more

Be sure to check the security requirements before you go here. My wife's purse did not meet the requirements and we had to return it back to our vehicle. Park is clean and the fireworks were amazing. Food is expensive and the food quality does not match the pricing. I their defense the food and beverage prices are probably in line with other MLB ballparks. read more
Great place to see a baseball game. Every seat is a great view. Huge screens, lots of food selections, nice big stairs & ramps. Lots of bathrooms with easy access. White Sox fans are friendly & fun. We were here on a Friday night & had the most amazing fireworks. Parking lot was easy to get out of too. read more
While the White Sox may not be the best team to watch in baseball, they have a nice field! It's great to go on Tuesday nights when they have $5 beer and food. The field is kept up nicely, and due to low demand, ticket prices to attend games are very low. Lines for food, drinks, etc. are really short too, making it more enjoyable than other fields for casual baseball watchers. read more
Always enjoy watching the White Sox! They have great food in the stadium. It is really fun to tailgate ahead of the game. I love the craft beer cave. A lot of fun stuff to do inside the park too. Very kid friendly ball park. read more

Compared to other stadiums I've gone to, the rate field was mid. The game was pretty empty playing Arizona, so they closed the upper levels and moved everyone to the 100s. The energy from the crowd wasn't fully there compared to the previous Brewers game I went to the night before. They do offer some solid food options, though! read more
Had a great time with mother on Juneteenth. Happy to spend quality time with mom but sad the white Sox couldn't pull it off. The seats were great. I recommend that review their website before coming. It tells you what you can or can't bring therefore save you a lot of hassle and headaches. Download the park whiz app. They only accept credit or debit no cash. Purchase your parking pass early so it saves you time. I will come back next time. Have patience with the staff and have fun. read more
Such a fun stadium to spend an afternoon at! Facilities are always clean and showcase the team's history. Food is INSANELY good. So many gourmet options, it's not your average baseball food. Loaded fries were crispy with a prominent hot honey heat. read more

First experience attending a game at this stadium. Was pretty stoked that they were playing against my LA Dodgers during #SHRM24 conference week. Stadium was pretty easy enough to get with ride share. Lines to the game went by like a breeze on this day. The concessions were not as packed and we had enough time to get our orders and take our seats. Section 526, row 1, provided a good view of the field. Although, it didn't provide shade from the rainfall we had during the top of the 7th inning. I'm sure there are better places in Chi town to have an original Chicago dog but I thought, what's more American than having a comiskey dog during a baseball game. Theirs was pretty well prepared...not messy. The sausage had a good sear on the all beef Vienna sausage. The mustard, pickles, and onions were just the right amount for the regular size dog. So picking it up with the poppyseed bun kept it well together. The tomato slices were also fresh, and the pepper had a good tang. They also offer this in a footlong version. Regular was $8.99 I believe, and 12-in was $12.99. Dodgers won the game with a shutout at 3-0. Although disappointed we didn't have any home runs during the game, we were treated to a lightning show during the rainfall intermission. Overall, it was a great experience! read more
From the gates and yes, that is plural, it was a shit show. You might not experience this if you buy your seats directly from the venue but myself and others utilized seatgeek. My issue is that the workers at the first two gates did not tell me that I needed to exchange my seatgeek QR code for something they could scan. Instead they simply sent me to a different gate to go through the same security experience to be told to go to a different gate. I was finally told to go wait in ticket window line after going through security again at the third gate! I exited out to go to the ticket window which took forever because they were slow with only two windows open. I missed the first two innings of the game because of this and definitely wasn't the only one pissed off in the line! I had really good seats so the view was awesome. I went on the worst night because my Astros lost but it was Tuesday so the stadium was running a Tuesday night special. $5 select drinks and food. The normal prices were ridiculous, I saw seven dollars for a 20 ounce soda! My God! I did eventually order some nachos, which tasted watered down, but for five dollars at stadium I won't complain. read more
This was the second park we visited in our tour of all the baseball stadiums. I liked that they had a pencil and scorecard available to use at guest services. Good food, memorabilia, and libations available throughout the park. I had a very nice chat with a beer tender who was also a teacher. We talked education and the deliciousness of craft beer. Overall, very friendly and welcoming. The public transportation is just a few minutes walk from the stadium making it easy to exit the stadium and get back to wherever you need to get. read more

As a die-hard Cubs fan,I wasn't sure what to expect at Guaranteed Rate Field, but I was pleasantly surprised! We came for the home opener to celebrate a family member's birthday, and it ended up being a fantastic time. Not as much as Wrigley but a good time lol! First off, parking was easy and affordable, which is a huge plus. The stadium itself is big, clean, and offers tons of food options-way more variety than I expected! The staff was super friendly, and even with a big crowd (though not completely packed), everything felt organized. We paid $30 for nosebleed seats on opening day, which I thought was a fair price. The atmosphere was lively, and the sightlines were still good from up high. Overall, it's a great ballpark with a good vibe, and I'll MAYBE come back if invited again. White Sox fans--you've got a nice place here! read more

It was a nice stadium. Came here for an impromptu white sox game. Stadium is wheelchair accessible and they take the ADA seats seriously from people just trying to sit there; which I appreciate. There's a lot of food options! read more

This was a decent milkshake but it was more of the experience for this drink. Good size and easily shareable with others. Depending on where in the stands you are located, this drink will be far to get to given that it is only sold at one spot in the stadium. The process to get it was simple and fast. Definitely a good baseball watching drink and you get to keep the cup as memorabilia from the game !! read more
Recently attended my first White Sox Game and I enjoyed their stadium. First of all I love that their parking lots are close and affordable. For a Sunday game parking in one of their close lots was only $20 I was pleasantly surprised. We had our tickets on the MLB app and getting through security was easy. Not a lot of people at the game so that may have been the reason. It was also a promotional Sunday so they were giving away free shirts. Who doesn't love free swag? As for the inside very easy to find your seats. Love that the rows aren't long across so you don't have to go past lots of people to get out. Bathrooms are clean and lines move quickly. I love the fact they have a variety of places to eat on the inside. Yes it's expensive (ballpark prices) but the quality is good. read more
Even though the White Sox are having a down year, it was still an enjoyable night at the ball park. Playing the cross town rival Chicago Cubs, an enjoyable game. The star of the night is the food at the stadium. Definitely one of the best ball parks I've been to for variety of food. Pizza, burgers, Elotes, Hot dogs, Sausages, Cheese Steaks. I had a cheesesteak. Steak was seasoned well, tender, juicy. A nice, fresh roll, with peppers, onions, and a mozzarella sauce. A 7 on a scale of 1-10, worth it. A fun night at a ball game was had. read more
Arguably the most boring, bland park I have been to. Visited on a Friday night for a game in mid-May. Really wasn't much to the park - very boring - straightforward and nothing to it. I'm not a homer but there's been plenty of parks that were more entertaining than this. Ubered here and ubered back. Can't speak to the neighborhood, but I can't speak to issues others have experienced. That didn't weigh into my review. read more

Great experience for the Sox game. It was pretty easy to get into our parking lot and traffic wasn't bad at all so that made it even better. I also love that they have vegan options at in the stadium so as a non-eater I was able to enjoy a veggie hotdog. The Sox lost which sucks but what do you expect LOL? read more

Nice ballpark. Good views from the seats. Lots of food and drink choices. Aisles are wide. The need to get the faster security technology. Looks brand new even though it's been here since 1991. Good, solid loyal fanbase...not too many @$$/&!- in the crowd. read more
As an avid baseball fan visiting from out of town, I was excited to catch a Sunday afternoon game and check another stadium off my attendance list. From downtown Chicago, getting to the stadium via the CTA red line was easy. Exiting the train station, I was immediately underwhelmed by the atmosphere, as the stadium is surrounded by highways and parking lots. Where are the restaurants and bars for pre- and post-game enjoyment? Not here. Not at all. I arrived early and was prepared to take it all in. Enjoyed seeing the old Comiskey home plate and the Tom Petty cover band playing outside the entrance was pretty enjoyable, but the pre-game crowd and environment was disappointing. The stadium has some nice statues of former players, but overall, it lacks a discernible feature or attribute. What it lacks in character, it makes up for in practicality. The view from many seats make it a pretty great place to *watch* a game. No overhang for the 100 level, elevated unobstructed views from the 300 level, etc. I spent an hour pre-game wandering the whole stadium scouting the food, and the options were pretty underwhelming. That said, there were 84 seats in my section (342), and 83 of them were unoccupied to witness the home town Sox defeat the mighty first place Rays by scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning. This Boston-based Yankees fan was practically alone, having a blast, cheering on the White Sox. There are so many great things about Chicago, but White Sox fans might not be one of them... read more
The things we do for those we love. I'm an Astros fan who was in the Windy City for my niece's high school graduation. Said niece and her sister are White Sox fans so to continue celebrating the former's big milestone, I got tickets to the June 9 game against the Miami Marlins. My first time visiting the ballpark forever known as Comiskey to many a faithful South Sider was pretty neat. While its more well-known counterpart to the north gets lots of visitors, Comiskey has its own character and charm. I love how you can see the entire Chicago skyline from ramps leading up to the 500 level. And with my family and I in Section 552, Row 1, we had a solid view of the diamond. I commend the Sox fans for their unbridled passion for their squad and the game. It's often said that the South Siders are all business following first pitch. With Comiskey now under my belt, I'm proud to say that I have watched a game at both here and Wrigley. read more
Good spot. Love the large variety of food and drink options inside the ballpark. Things have gone up in price just like everything else, but still a good time tailgating and lots to see and do in the ballpark. Also, most times, I have gotten really good deals on good seats for the game. read more
I am a partial season ticket holder and think that the Cell is a better baseball experience than the other stadium up north. That being said, the team is terrible and the atmosphere is pretty poor because of it. They could fix a lot of these issues by lowering prices on food and drinks. Other teams throughout the league have done it and they're selling more seats and having more fun. It's a shame that the White Sox are owned by an incompetent greedy buffoon who wants to milk every penny he can out of the team while putting out the washed-up Royals alumni team on the diamond every game. read more

I have been a huge Cubs fan since conception and will ALWAYS be one, but I am also a fan of baseball and love seeing all the different stadiums. I went to my first Sox game today, and it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the stadium. I also think it's cool that they have parking lots and that people are allowed to bbq and tailgate before the game. I love the industrial look of the outfield and its nice how small the 100 level rows are (with only like 8 seats per row). It's so nice to not have to walk through a bunch of people if you want to get up. I also love that there is no obstructed view from any seat and that they really don't care where you sit. No one even checks your tickets here once in the park, and our seats were 100-level seats. Like many other stadiums, I also love that the concourse is all connected so anyone can go and stand by the outfield and hangout. There is tons of room over there. One think that I question is the direction of the stadium, though; they definitely should have had the skyline in the outfield because the skyline can't be seen from your seats. It would have been a cool tourist point to have that as a background/outfield view. All of the food gets an A+! We had a delicious hot dog, funnel cake, churro (though that was a bit bland), and I got delicious chicken tenders and fries while my husband ordered a cheeseburger and also enjoyed it. They also have a lot of different craft beers and seltzer options. The game was a lot of fun (not only because the Sox got killed --- kidding but they really did lol) and we sat by nice people. During the game. They have a nice mix of fan appreciation games/giveaways which is a nice change that Wrigley doesn't really do. At this game, they were throwing out t shirts and always threw out balls to the fans. It is pretty cool that they have fireworks everytime someone on the Sox hits a home run, but I truly hate those weird colorful pinwheels on the scoreboard. It reminds me of Candyland lol. Overall, I probably won't come back to Sox Park unless I somehow got free tickets, but I'm glad we came. Barely anyone was there, especially in the upper deck, and the food was great. I still love my Wrigley way more, but I'm biased with that one. read more
Take me out to the ballgame! What an absolutely beautiful day for a game. Not just any game, a WIN! 300 level seating is the best choice; better food options, great bars, and if it rains, you can sit in the lounge and watch the game on the screens. Just so happen to rain, so we came inside and still enjoyed the game. The servers are very friendly and attentive. EVERYTHING was delicious! The vodka lemonades made it a bit difficult to stand. The traditional hot dog and footlong polish was pretty good. Fresh, crispy fries, the best steak sandwich ever and what a treat those ice cream nachos were. read more

My favorite place in the world. The team is either very good and fun to watch, or they're so bad that you have time to go checkout all of the great food options that the stadium has to offer. The tickets are very reasonably priced. You could pay a lot more at Wrigley Field for a lesser product on the field, cornier music/promotions and way less food options, or you can come here and have fun no matter what and be amazed by Chicago's true baseball team. I love the Sox and I am going to haunt this stadium and bring them good luck in the afterlife after I die. Guaranteed Rate field is home. Wrigley Field is for tourists. read more

Had a great time at the ball park. I enjoy Sox park better then the Cubs because they have more handicap options for those with disabilities and they cater more to kids. After all kids are the ones who still play the game, so why not make going to a big league game more enjoyable for them! Guaranteed rate has a great kids club area and really focus on family! read more
