My mom and I often find that desi snack food is quite average in restaurants until we had Rasraj. I live in LA and I come here every time I visit OC. We've tried- Paneer wrap-my FAVE, it's a thin roti with spiced paneer and cheese, and a vinegar to dip Szechuan fried rice- delicious, very well seasoned and great portion Masala dosa- crispy, hot, and the sambar is SO tasty, they're very generous with the portion too! Pav Bhaaji- SO GOOD, we finished this in less than 5 minutes Gobi manchurian- comes on a sizzling hot plate, very crispy, flavorful, and tasty Hakka Noodles- these can be a bit plain on their own, but we had ours with the gobi and loved it Dabeli- I had this last night and am still dreaming about it, we also got a side of green chutney with it The rose ladoo caught my eye and it was super unique! not too sweet and the rose tasted refreshing, the falooda is also great here. Their menu is huge & they really do have something for everyone, the service is always great, food is extremely well priced (the most expensive item I've tried is the paneer wrap, which is just $10!), comes out hot and ready. Food here might be decent but I'd give service 1 star. Who i'm assuming to be a manager was borderline belligerent when informed the staff we had been waiting an hour for our food. Multiple people behind us in line received their orders before us and we realized that other people were starting to take other people's orders off of the counter (since we all got the same thing), or they had simply forgotten about us after 45 minutes. This man proceeds to blame his staff and attempt to gaslight us into believing that we had not ordered at a specific time even when we had the receipt to prove it. He refused to accept responsibility and tried to serve us cold food instead. We've been coming here for years and I've honestly loved this restaurant and never had any problems. I'm gravely disappointed that a grown man can act this way and refuse be accountable for his own actions. I understand customer service can be frustrating and the customer is definitely not always right but there are ways to handle a situation and this was not it. The food here was incredible, some of the best Indian food in the entire country. The paneer tikka masala had the perfect combination of creaminess, smokyness, and tomatoness. The garlic naan was nice and crispy. The masala dosa had a delicious flavorful sambar. Why the 1 star? Despicable customer service. We were a group of 3 people who ordered about 7 dishes for a total of $90. Probably the biggest customers of the day for them - in short we made them a lot of cash. The kitchen unfortunately made an error on our Masala Dosa order by putting 2 dosas on one of our plates. (We had no idea that it was only supposed to be 1 dosa piece since the dosas were small/medium in size. Literally no way of knowing unless you ate there often). The owner then passive aggressively canceled our order of pav bhaji without telling us. When I went to ask if our pav bhaji was ready since it'd been 20 minutes, he was extremely irate and told me that I ate 2 of their dosas and to either give back the dosas (which we had half eaten by now) or pay the difference in price ($3) to get our pav bhaji. I told him we had no way of knowing we received an extra dosa and then he proceeded to yell at me, treating me as though I had just robbed him of all his money. He was visibly angry, tensing his shoulders and huffing/puffing like a wolf. Unbelievable. They made the error but was bold enough to blame the customer.. and he was irate over the loss of a measly 3$. That was enough of a loss for him to threaten us by withholding our food. The food is great but the service is garbage. The customers are just there to facilitate the owner's income. I absolutely hate these sorts of businesses. Rasraj has been my go to place for most of the time I visits Artesia for more than a decade. They moved their restaurant to a new location couple of years ago which is just 30 to 40 feet further from their original place and now much bigger, nicer with wider menu selection and friendly staff as always. Rasraj Dum Aloo is one of their best dishes and now I just had it with a Lunch Combo Thali ( Dum Aloo, Punjabi Dal, Rice, 2 Puris & Papad) and absolutely LOVED it ! I had Rose Lassi as a drink, very sweet & delicious ! If Rasraj keeps making their food yummy like this, I'll be continue to come to this place for years to come & you can bet on that !!! read more

Pics attached. The container lids broke due to the way they were stacked and ended up soaking the paper bag they were in.
