    French toast leftovers

Went to breakfast at Raspberry's Pancake House. Me and wife did not finish so we took leftovers home. Went to eat my leftovers. Was going to cut a pocket in French toast and stuff the sausage inside. When I went to turn it sideways to cut the pocket I got sick to my stomach when i noticed mold on the bread for the French toast. I closed the container up and was going to bring to show owner later in the day and get a refund. Well before we did that the wife started to finish her leftovers and got sick and threw up so we saved hers to bring up there too. On way to pick our cat up from the vet we brought food with us and stopped at restaurant. Talked to guy at front counter think was the owner. He asked what I wanted him to do. I said I want a complete refund. He said you paid by card I can't give a refund ill remake it for you. There was no way in hell I was going to eat anything from that place anymore. I said just give me a refund and he said no. I said you can give a refund you just dont want to. I said I will just dispute the charge with my bank and said a few choice words and left. So if you decide to eat there check over all your food before you eat there or just dont go. I will never step foot in that place again. I read a post about someone finding a roach in soup and someone commented no pictures no proof well here's my pictures of the mold for proof.

It's a typical Chicago breakfast and lunch place. Pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, etc. I was looking for a spot to get a salad. They had a few options. It was fresh and plentiful. Good lemon rice soup too. We had the best waitress by far. I would have given it a better rating had I not witnessed the rude treatment another waitress was providing. A family was seated with special needs adult children. She was short and snippy. Left the table because they didn't answer quick enough. I had no problem understanding their order sitting 10 feet away, but she kept acting like she couldn't understand standing right next to them. I would go back, but I'd definitely want the waitress we had today.

This was our first visit as our usual breakfast go-to was only serving carry out orders. After seeing the long line of people waiting for a table here, I assumed the food would be worth the wait. Well, I was partiality correct. The hashed browns were good, but the coffee was weak and the bacado was just okay. I'm not a fan of cheddar cheese with eggs. They don't carry pepper Jack or Monterey Jack, so hence the cheddar. The omelette was huge. Instead of the cook dicing avocado and putting it inside the omelette, the cook put it on top. I prefer it inside the omelette. The pancakes would have been good but were cold. The highlight of the meal was the warm hospitality shared by the server, which is why I gave the review 3 stars. Will I give this place another chance? Maybe...

This is a restaurant that feels like a neighborhood comfort space. The staff are delightful, the restaurant is pretty, the restrooms are clean, and the overall atmosphere is energetic and welcoming. Hailey, my server, was phenomenal! Very professional, attentive, and prideful of her work. The food was just "ok" however. I had the chorizo omlet with pancakes and hash browns an the flavor for the omlet could have been better. It could have been just that particular menu option so I'm open to giving this place another shot when I'm back in town. Overall, it was a good first visit.

Found the place to be spotless ...I am sure due to Covid the menu has been cut back but still the selection is good. The service was spot on from the moment we walked in the food came out quickly and hot which is a major plus

I visited during a Saturday afternoon and was surprised with how empty it was. It was one other family that were in the middle of their meal so I was a little nervous. Luckily, the emptiness wasn't related to the quality of the food because it was good. The crawfish etouffee was well seasoned and had a bit of a kick to it if you enjoy spice. They do have a full service bar with cocktails; I ordered a mixed drink and while it tasted fine, I could hardly taste any alcohol in it. The service was also a bit slower than I'd imagine considering that it was empty when I dined. Despite those minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my dining and would keep it on my list of places to consider in the future.

They enjoyed the poboys and thought the fried green tomato on it was an interesting touch. I ordered the vegetarian jambalaya, fried green tomatoes, and fried buffalo mushroom. Overall, I feel like everything, I ordered, was lacking in seasoning. The fried green tomatoes were good with dipping sauce. The batter on the mushrooms were on the soggy side; they might do better to cut the mushrooms instead of serving them whole. The jambalaya was too soupy. Traditional jambalaya doesn't have a liquid/soup to it. The jambalaya was more like a veggie étouffée. I would visit again to try the vegetarian jambalaya and, maybe, have the fried green tomatoes again.

This restaurant is snuggled up in downtown Peotone. The streets feels like you're stepping into an old western movie. So nostalgic. Food: I ordered a Belgium waffle with strawberries paired with a side of hashbrowns and sausage. The waffle was cooked perfectly and tasted sweet. Not your standard dry boring tasteless waffle. The strawberries were fresh and paired nicely with the hot syrup. The hashbrowns were cooked light and didn't have that overcooked greasy feeling you get from most breakfast places. You actual tasted the potatoes and not grease. The sausages were juicy and flavorful. I don't usually eat heavy, but today I had clean plates sent back. Service: this is a family business. Marilyn used to own Marilyn's in Monee. The service this family provides is second to none. The compassion you hear in their voices, the care they have for you food being delivered perfectly, and the smiles you get from them consistently. It's hard to find great service these days. This restaurant does it all! While looking around, I saw everyone happy and tons of clean pages being picked up. It's safe to say their patrons love their product and appreciate the heart warming service they deliver. If you're in the area, or close by, bring your family down to have a bite to eat. You won't be disappointed. They also have a solid lunch menu too. I heard a bunch of cheeseburgers being sold as to-go orders. It sounded like a hit!

The bacon had a funky taste to it, the omelette was so so, the potatoes were over fried and well, toast is toast. It has the potential to be a nice diner hidden in a nice small town, but not at these prices. Stay on the Highway!
