Our go to for breakfast! We go a couple times a week. Food is always good and staff is friendly and helpful.

Food and service were great. Little hidden gem, nothing fancy but good food. Clean restaurant. read more

I would like to share some concerns about our recent breakfast experience at Olive Café. I hope this feedback helps improve service for future guests. 1. The server spoke to us with an unfriendly attitude and used inappropriate language while asking what we needed. 2. For my decaf coffee order, the server took my cup from the table and filled it at their station instead of bringing a pot to the table. She stated it was decaf, but when I tasted it, it clearly was not. 3. The soup we ordered was served cold. 4. The pancakes were inconsistent--the top pancake was whole, but the one underneath was cut in half. 5. When it was time to pay, the server did not provide a receipt. We value Olive Café and hope these issues can be addressed. Were not happy read more

Cute, clean, great food reasonably priced. We go there often. Staff always friendly and cheerful. Never a long wait for your food, we like it very much. read more

The food is delicious. Been there several times now and never varies. We usually have good service and the cost is nominal. Better than most! The outside doesn't look like much but once inside it is very nice. Great place read more

It's a small diner. Quiet atmosphere. Very very attentive wait staff. Kudos! Food was good. Cinnamon toast is something to try. We'll be back. read more

Went for breakfast. Cute place with plenty of seating options. Our server was very sweet and attentive and our food was yummy! My husband really enjoyed their French toast special. read more

Zero stars if I could. My mom and I decided to give this local place a try. I am telling you not to bother. Was seated at 11:00am. No one looked at us. I got up and got us menus. We had our order taken after that. At 11:50, we still hadn't been served. We left. read more

This place is a gem! It's a quaint little cafe with EXCELLENT food. We've had breakfast and lunch here many times. The owner/chef is always friendly and the waitstaff is also. Give this place a try if you want a local place that has a many options to choose from on the menu! read more

The food and the service they provide is wonderful. The prices were reasonable. Their cheesecake flauta is THE BEST!

Had a great experience at Olive Cafe. Went there to meet some friends and also have a short business meeting. We were greeted when entering, and served coffee within minutes of sitting down. Our waitress, Karina, explained our questions and took our order. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Karina kept our coffee and water filled, even when we were done eating and having our meeting. Excellent, friendly service! We had the breakfast special and the Cobb salad, which were delicious and priced reasonably. We will definitely be going back there again!! read more

Prices are now the same as everywhere else and portions appear smaller now. Their online order experience is awful. I was just sent around in circles trying to login. You need to use something with Apple Pay. read more

This is a really awesome little spot that we frequent. The service is so friendly, the price is very reasonable and the food is so fresh and delicious! Don't pass up this gem. read more

Went for breakfast here after church. Had been here before and it was good. This time, the service wasn't as good plus our order was screwed up. My wife ended up eating while the fixed my omelet that they failed to put meat on.... It was a meat lovers skillet!!!! I asked about a discount for not only the wait but the mistake that they made. The answer... we remade it for you so no. Ok, no problem, we won't be visiting again. read more

Solid food good service reasonably priced. Their pancakes are always light and fluffy with good flavor. The rest of their food is nothing unique but they do basic well. read more

My friend and I come here a few times a year and have always enjoyed it. The food comes hot and my drink is always full. It's great for a quick bite when you are on time limit for lunch. read more

The owner is notorious for just closing early at random. No set hours. Also one waitress does the ordering, phone calls, cashier, and sometimes clearing of tables. She doesn't have time to check up on you. I have to get up to get my own drink and when my tables order gets messed up, oh well. She doesn't have time to check up on you. The owner/cook is oblivious to what is going on. Go somewhere else. Omlette house down the street always gives me my full order and checks on me! read more

Barely 1 star. New owner is absolutely terrible, unreasonable and rude. Has the attitude of complete disrespect.

I had the joy of being there on the day that the doors were opened for business and was so impressed by the atmosphere, staff and service. I ordered breakfast and a plate filled with French toast, bacon and syrup arrived. I loved what I ordered, it was hot, tender and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I have since returned many times and have yet to be disappointed. Thank you for such a great experience, flavorful food and hometown feel. read more

Not overly impressed. The server was rather forward but it wasn't long before A.D.D. stepped in and our orders were not as we requested. The place over all is clean, the food was decent but pricey. There are better options close by to receive a better value for the dollar spent. read more

Sophie Panagakis, formerly of the Riviera in Munster, has opened a nice little breakfast-lunch joint in the strip mall next to Lake Central High School. The decor is olivey - very cute and simple. Typical Greek breakfast place - $2.99 eggs, meat, toast and potato entree. Coffee is decent. I always swear I'm going to have lunch here but haven't yet. The servers are friendly and efficient. Sophie's places are very, very clean and pleasant. Give the Olive a try. read more

Food and service was reasonable. The price was not! Short stack of 2 pancakes was $7.95. My bfast special of 2 eggs and biscuit and gravy does not even include potatoes for $7.95. This is too expansive for the area! read more

3 of us went for breakfast. Food was good. Waitress was bad. She brought the food, I asked for ketchup then realized no silverware. She never came back with ketchup. We took silverware from other table. Went up to counter for ketchup. Never refilled drinks. Asked for refill when she brought check. Also asked for to go container. Never brought that. Got one up front when we paid. read more

This is a nice, clean, newer cafe that never seems to be very busy. The prices are a little high, but the quality is definitely better than what you see at a place like Purple Steer or The Commander. I scoffed at the $8.75 Greek salad when it didn't have any meat, but there was a huge block of feta on top, an area most places skimp on. I didn't try breakfast, but the menu looks pretty standard. Most of the sandwiches on the menu come with only soup, but a few of the specials come with both soup and fries, so make sure to look for the specials on the menu. read more

This place was definitely clean and seems to attract friendly older parties of no more than 4 ppl w modest appetites. Oh, and their culinary herbs r prob picked fresh from their potted garden outside. That said...I won't come back here for breakfast again. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet and specifically asked for extra crispy and very well browned hash and potatoes. Waste of breath. They ignored my only request. Add to that the skillet is basically served in a soup bowl. It would have been the perfect vessel for some tomato bisque, but totally inappropriate and undersized for a skillet. Good thing my wife gave me her 2 eggs or I would have left hungry. Instead, I just left underwhelmed. read more

I called for a order to go . My husband pick up some crepe's and corn beef hash . It was the worst the crepes were thrown in the container what a mess the Corn hash was burnt hardly any in there never again ..And we go in there sometimes and it's never that way .., it's the last time I'll never go there again .. read more

The waitress, Alicia, was all by herself and yet she was very personable. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxing. Soothing piano music playing, soft colors, lightly decorated. I ordered the French toast platter. It was more than filling. I don't know what brand they use for their breakfast sausage, but it was the best I have had. My husband had the potato soup. It was very fresh. The chef did a great job. read more

Third time at the Olive was very good. Food was very good in this cute, clean little place. Service was good and the breakfast was very good with a very nice portion as well. Check them out. Should be first choice for breakfast in the area. read more

This was a great place to work loved all the customers . Just want to let everyone know I miss all of you.but this new management was bad needs to learn how to run a business. And treat his staff right.cant return phone calls or accept a doctor's note wants to have somebody come back to work with the flu. And to think I gave this young man the chance to affect me is crazy. But just so you know Giovanni me and ray truly liked you had respect for you. But now your going to see exactly how it is to have a business and hopefully in the future you will learn a lesson in kindness.and just so you know I got a job right away with a kind boss and they are getting the full Benefit of my kindness to the customers I take care of. So lots of luck in these times of hardship because you truly never cared anyway. read more

Food was AMAZING. Haven't been that satisfied with my food order in a long time. Absolutely delicious. Our server stormy was excellent as well. Will definitely be coming back here read more

If they had a button for zero stars I would use it. It was absolute most overpriced food I've ever had. Food was mediocre at best. Don't waste your money. read more

Sunny little locally owned spot. What's not to like? The owner knew my friends (who are Greek) and I saw her go over to several tables to greet people. They made me a great egg-white omelet off the menu. The prices are a bit high, and I didn't like the fact that they buttered my toast for me (too much!) but the variety on the menu is what makes this place a stand-out. I would definitely go back to try the pancakes. And the Greek salad. Or a wrap... read more

Went here on a whim for breakfast with my husband on a Saturday morning and we were a bit scared as the dinner was empty. With that said, I ordered the spinach and feta omelet and he had a breakfast skillet with eggs over medium: both were amazing. I mix up my omelet orders, but spinach and feta is a favorite and this was THE BEST I've ever had! Fresh spinach leaves (not chopped/drained) and the feta was fresh (not the typical old/dried fair). My husband was a bit disappointed with his eggs and felt the were more "over easy", but she quickly got over it b/c he cleaned his plate. read more

Had a very pleasant lunch with a friend here. Service was excellent and the food selection was good. Ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and order it again. Yum! Best part the the old fashioned cola. Loved the taste. read more

My husband and I have been to the Olive Cafe on Wicker in Saint John, Indiana a few times now for Saturday breakfast. They do a nice job. The food is good, you get plenty of food for the money, the service is excellent, it doesn't break the bank, and the place is extremely clean and organized. A great place to go for a nice breakfast. read more

Love their breakfast and lunch! The best pancakes I've ever had, and the lunch specials are fantastic (a sandwich served with a cup of homemade soup, or salad), for a great price. Nice atmosphere, and very CLEAN! Love thier coffee and brewed iced tea. You have to try their hot chocolate too! More info, and pictures on their Facebook page. Went for breakfast the other day and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I ordered the Olympus skillet and it was delicious. Not very many people in there and I pass this all of the time and it seems they are never crowded. Great service and the only reason it's not 5 stars is that it was a little pricey for breakfast. $3 for a glass of chocolate milk. read more

Great service by staff. Bright and modern space. Also great food, I had the gyro wrap that was delicious and fresh. This is now my go to in St. John!!! read more

I was skeptical at first, since there were not many people there. But I had nothing to worry about. The prices are fair, the food is great and the service is outstanding! I have had French toast, the eggs, BLT with no mayo, hamburgers, their soups and so much more and always left full (many times I had a couple of leftovers) and content. I highly recommend this place. The only negative comment is that they close at 3. read more
