A basic order of a large orange juice, pancake special, no eggs no butter, biscuits and gravy no eggs and side of bacon, and a turkey bacon club, turned into a 20 minute wait for food, with no orange juice, no bacon. So 10 minutes later when we could finally get her attention, the annoyed 50+ year old woman appalled that we would want what we ordered. Crazy, I know. So she brings us a small orange juice (we ordered a large) and disappears til we get the check while bringing the side of bacon we ordered asking if we ordered it, while clearly holding a receipt saying we did. Needless to say $50 later for shitty service and bland ass food, we will not be back. It's a hole in the wall that should probably be bricked up like a mausoleum because clearly it's only meant for geriatric people lacking taste buds, with nothing but time and spare cash for overpriced slop ‍

The tenders are good because the batter is seasoned however, I expected either more tenders or perhaps a smaller plate because if you look at the picture, it's more plate than it is meat The same could be said for the country fried steak. It was such a small piece for such a big plate. It didn't really make a lot of sense. Our waitress also told us that this place had the absolute best tater tots ever so we wouldn't put the tater tots and to be quite blunt these tater tots taste no different than any other restaurant This whole area of Northwest Indiana is so saturated with breakfast brunch spots that I have to say that the food has got to elevate itself to really stand out and also to stay relevant with all the competition.

This is one of my favorite places for brunch. I love that they open early, and they have some really good cocktails. Their Bloody Marys are a favorite of mine, and during my last visit I tried a lavender cocktail that was absolutely delicious. The food never disappoints. I usually go for something hearty, like a breakfast burger topped with an egg and all the fixings, and their monkey bread is SO good and definitely worth trying. The service has always been great. Food and drinks come out quickly, the staff is attentive, and I've never felt rushed. I also really enjoy the atmosphere because you can actually sit and have a conversation. Whether you're meeting friends for brunch, going on a casual date, or even enjoying brunch by yourself, The Harvest Room is a great choice. After sitting down, I had to use the restroom. BIG mistake. There was feces all over the bathroom floor, on the sink area, and even on the door handle. This wasn't just a small mess--it was a significant amount of solid feces throughout the bathroom. When I returned to my table, I noticed that feces had also gotten onto the rug near the front/register area, where I was sitting. I immediately informed my waitress, who then notified the front desk. Eventually, someone came to clean it up. At that point, I had completely lost my appetite. After an experience like that, you would think management would come over, apologize, and offer to refund the meal since I was no longer able to eat. Instead, I was simply given a senior discount. That was extremely disappointing. I will say that my waitress was very kind and showed genuine empathy. She brought me a warm, soapy towel so I could clean my hands and even clean the bottom of my shoe. I truly appreciated her compassion because she was the only person who seemed to understand how upsetting the situation was. What disappointed me most was that the manager never came over to apologize or even acknowledge what had happened. I understand that accidents happen, but the way a restaurant handles an extremely unsanitary situation says a lot about its customer service.
