I had high hopes for this brunch spot, but unfortunately, the service (or lack thereof) made it an instant no-go for me. After standing at the entrance for 10 minutes without being greeted, I watched as a waitress with black glasses blatantly ignored us--until a white couple walked in after me, at which point she suddenly decided to acknowledge us and ask us to wait a few minutes. It wasn't just us who noticed the poor service. Two gentlemen at a high-top table also walked out after being told it would take 20 minutes just to get a hot coffee. When you see multiple customers leaving before even getting served, it's a clear sign of a bigger issue--either the staff is overworked and unhappy, or they simply don't care about customer experience. With a hungry toddler, I wasn't about to stick around to find out how much worse the service could get. There are plenty of other brunch spots in the area that actually value their customers, and I'd recommend trying one of those instead. A place like this can set the wrong tone for your whole day, and frankly, it's not worth it.

Visited here on a random Sunday for brunch and it's located in a strip mall with shared parking so that was great to find parking as a lot of the other businesses were not open. When you walk in, you'll realize that there is no waiting area no seats for a waiting area so be prepared and you are just about on top of the people who said at the high top table is right by the doors. After walking in, we were pleasantly surprised not to have to wait and receded immediately at one of those high top tables right by the doors Service was absolutely impeccable and our waitress was so friendly and on top of her game. No complaints whatsoever on the service. The menu is pretty straightforward and traditional, which is fantastic, but it also has something for everybody whether you want meat or not or if you are into some traditional combinations or skillets too I would rate this place of five however, the food does look delicious and it did taste delicious but unfortunately, when it came to, our table was at best lukewarm. We did not complain. We did not send it back. I hope not all the foods come out lukewarm, but it was probably due to the process of building up the plates and foods coming out of the fryer some coming out of a pot with gravy, etc. The pricing here is very fair and for two people with two orders of food plus coffee came out to $33 I would definitely come back here again as this was a solid choice however, I do hope for warmer food

Love this mug. They place the syrup in it with hot water to warm... #smart - A white ceramic coffee mug featuring the phrase "It's always coffee time" in various fonts and sizes is positioned on a wooden table. The mug has a handle and a spoon resting on top of it. The background shows a window with blinds, a person sitting at a table, and interior cafe lighting, indicating a cozy cafe environment.

Walked in. Server told us to swat ourselves. Then while looking for WHERE to sit a different server told us they'd get to us in a moment. Umm... #getittogetherplease Seated. Both coffee mugs were dirty. But then things get better. The service was sweet. The food was pretty good. My husband, a pancake eater, did NOT enjoy the pancakes. I, NOT a pancake eater, did. I think it's cuz they add cinnamon... not sure. The rye bread is so good and my over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. I don't know if I would request to return but if a friend made a suggestion, for sure. There is a lot for parking.

The image shows the interior of a casual restaurant with wooden flooring, tables, and chairs. Large windows with wooden blinds allow natural light to enter, complemented by hanging pendant lights and string lights. Several customers are seated, including an elderly person near the window and a woman in a teal jacket. The space includes a visible exit sign and a doorway leading to another area, with a counter and staff in the background.

Market & Maple in Dyer, IN, is an absolute gem. We stopped in for breakfast this morning and were thoroughly impressed. I opted for a loaded omelette--bacon, ham, mushrooms, spinach, and cheese--all perfectly cooked and accompanied by a side of homemade cinnamon raisin toast that could easily double as a hug for your taste buds. My partner went full indulgence mode with cinnamon roll French toast and eggs Benedict, both of which looked like they belonged on the cover of Breakfast Aficionado Monthly (a magazine that should exist if it doesn't already). But what truly set Market & Maple apart was the service--spectacular in every sense. Lately, it feels like great service has become more of a nostalgic concept, something people wax poetic about in colloquial complaints to their friends. But here? They delivered the kind of attentive, friendly hospitality that reminds you what dining out should feel like. As an added bonus, the vibes were impeccable. The place had a cool aesthetic, and they were playing yacht rock--because nothing pairs better with eggs Benedict than the smooth stylings of Michael McDonald. All in all, Market & Maple isn't just a great breakfast spot; it's a beacon of hope in the service industry wilderness.

Return trip and sat at the bar. Chatted with our friendly server Jackie and enjoyed our delicious meal once again.

The other plate features a breakfast casserole with bread, cheese, and meat, topped with ketchup and served with two poached eggs covered in hollandaise sauce. A bowl of eggs Benedict with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce is also visible. A person's hand and part of their beige pants are seen in the background.

It was so silky, smooth, and utterly delicious. My wife and I agreed that it was the best hummus we've ever had and we've been eating hummus for decades. For a main course, we had the mixed grill we upgraded to shrimp instead of a coughed up and had steak and chicken . Everything came out piping hot and it was the juiciest chicken and steak and shrimp. It was simply amazing for the food on the plate. Also came with the yellow rice and a red rice. Both were good although I did like the yellow butter. It also included pickled vegetables which tasted out of this world. The meal also came with a salad, consisting of cucumbers and tomatoes and lettuce and herbs. It was quite good. I appreciated it and it's coming home with me. It's a very cute little place on the inside quiet with nice decor and the food is simply amazing. You'll definitely be back. I cannot recommend this higher overall I give it in 9.4. For main courses, we chose the mixed grill -- the chicken was marinated beautifully and grilled perfectly, while the beef was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. I couldn't resist taking home some Baklava -- it was so delicious that only two pieces made it into the house! Upon arrival we were immediately seated at a high top in the bar area. They had several big screen TVs on playing both sports and news. We came hungry and ordered a good variety of menu items including a few of their seasonal drinks as well as several shared appetizers. My favorite was the chicken eggs rolls. They really stuff them up and there's so much flavor. The dipping sauce is tasty as well. The lobster Rangoon was an accidental order, I asked the waitress how they were and next thing you know they were brought out to the table. I agreed to keep them and did enjoy them. They were a little pricey at $24 but I understand lobster isn't cheap. The bbq chicken pizza was ok but didn't have the bbq sauce flavor I was looking for. Good while hot but nothing I would order again. The side salad was literally just a bowl of lettuce so I wouldn't do that again either. I felt the menu had a lot of good options and choosing what to order was hard. Our server was great and the busser was attentive and helpful as well. I'm excited to have a place like this in the area. The vibey ambience, good service and overall yummy food makes me want to come back again and try more. Tip: they accept inKind which is a plus because I was able to save a little $ on the bill.

It's unfortunate that I receive the exact opposite on my second visit. I was waiting to be helped and they took two white men, and an elder white lady before me, even though I was acknowledged. I can understand if they're older and they wanna be helpful first, but there is no communication on this.... And then I saw the sign. I should've taken a photo cause it was a little startling, and unfortunate that they expressed so openly their political position and hate for Wokeness. I've heard some stories how they are true MAGA and slightly racist, but you have to experience it for yourself. You have to give a place a chance. And it saddens me the way I was treated on my second time back. Folks everywhere are just so sad and upset these days, every life has been disrupted in someway the last 10 years for multiple reasons. It's stressful out here, but it's also stressful trying to get good quality food with all the regulation changes. I travel out of the country multiple times a year and American food is just the worst. So I'll keep searching for quality in both the product and in the customer service. In some small way, it's good to know a store position because I don't wanna give them my business. It's so weird to fight against progress. And it's even weirder to think Wokeness is a thing. Stay asleep.
