Mango Green Tea and Rose Matcha Latte
    Vincent P.

I stopped by here for some drinks before hitting the road. Since I'm out of town, I was interested in giving RareTea a try. It was very refreshing especially for the hot summer day. We got the Mango Green Tea and Rose Matcha Latte with boba. Both drinks were delicious and made for a great drink for the road. If you're looking for a place for boba, this spot is a good option!

The tea was good! All the staff were super welcoming and the restaurant is beautiful and clean, thank you!

This RareTea was located next to a sushi restaurant which makes a really good combination. The servers were super sweet and our tea came out really quickly. I got a large strawberry milk tea smoothie for $6 which is a pretty good price. It was sweet and refreshing! My friend ordered a kiwi fruit tea which also looked good as well. The store was cute and had modern decor.

I'm usually not all that crazy about boba but wow this was delicious. I got oat milk rather than fresh milk and it was just perfection! The lady working there was sweet and helpful as well.

I have been to this location several times and have always enjoyed their drinks. Rare tea used high quality ingredients you don't find at the run of the mill boba stop like organic milk. The macaroons are on the small side and a tad too sweet for me so I would stay away from them. This location is out of the way so lines are generally not a problem not to mention they are inside Satori Sushi so if you are craving some food this spot is an awesome combo.

As the reigning Duchess of Rare Tea, I owe this business an excellent review. This specific RareTea location opened within this last year and has surprisingly dominated my boba patronage since its opening. Before this location opened, Rare Tea was not a boba shop I frequented. Now, it's only boba shop I go to. They have a variety of great quality teas as well as regular milk teas, fruit drinks, snow cream drinks, and matcha drinks. Here are some of my favorites: From the Teapresso Brew section, I love the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with organic fresh milk with 75% sweetness. I also love the High Mountain Milk Tea with fresh milk. From the Snow Cream section, the Strawberry Berry Snow Cream is the best! It's one of my favorite drinks and a great order during the summer. The snow cream is a little salty but adds an addicting flavor that compliments the drink so well. This drink does have tea in it, which means there is caffeine. The Caramelized Brown Sugar Boba Milk is one of their most popular drinks and it is very tasty, but it is VERY Sweet unless you lower the sweetness level. The brown sugar boba itself is extra sweet and therefore, I would recommend lowering the sweetness level of the drink to either 75% of 50%. Also, this drink has no caffeine. Other drinks - The Strawberry Milk Tea was just okay. It was not the most flavorful drink. I also tried making my own Oreo milk tea by ordering the Teapresso High Mountain milk tea and adding Oreo topping and boba. It was good, but it might be better/cheaper to order the Oreo milk tea as is. The only drink I really did not like was the strawberry smoothie. It tasted very artificial and I was pretty disappointed. Toppings - Boba and most toppings are $.75, but crystal boba and brown sugar boba are $1, and snow cream is $1.50. Overall, Rare Tea is an excellent boba shop that has graced the South Natomas area. They share store space with Satori Sushi (same owner), but have their own counter. You can also dine at Satori and order the milk tea, which will be brought to your table. The shop is clean, but there is no where to sit with a table if you are only getting boba. The staff is polite and accurate with orders.

We have had Raretea maybe 5x or so at DOCO. Now we get one in Natomas! Good drinks. Not the best but better than many currently in our area. They share the place that is new too, Satori Sushi. I didn't get a drink this time but the other 2 did and liked it just the same as at DOCO. Nice to have a better boba spot added to Natomas that has less than stellar boba. Deluna and Tea 18 trump the rest here.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - 1st time we tried via DoorDash - 2nd time we tried in person as a boba stop on the way home THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in an unsuspecting neighborhood plaza, can be easily overlooked - once in the plaza, you realize that RareTea is located inside Satori Sushi and Teriyaki Grill THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - RareTea is on the left side and Satori Sushi and Teriyaki Grill is on the right side - clean - modern THE MENU: - specialties - teapresso brews - milk teas - fruit teas - uji matcha - snow cream series - smoothies - not necessarily on the menu, there are some pastries/snacks showcased in the glass case adjacent to the cash register WHAT WE ORDERED: - Okinawa milk tea with brown sugar boba - mango smoothie - kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly - NOTE: like a lot of boba spots now, you have the option to change your ice level + sweetness level THE TASTE: - all of the drinks we've had have been good; refreshing and sweet CUSTOMER SERVICE: - warm and welcoming - swift

Mango slush with lychee jello and handmade taro with fresh milk and boba - doordash
    Paula T.

Doordash review - 20% off on your first order (up to $5 off) I received my order in less than 30 minutes, which is fast. My default drink is the mango slush with lychee jello - it has the perfect amount of sweetness and the lychee made it even more refreshing Homemade taro with milk - there's actual pieces of taro in it so if you're a fan of that, you'll have to try it. Top it off with boba and bam, it's a winner.

I've loved RareTea ever since I was first introduced to it from a Yelp Elite event at the DOCO location! I was going there for awhile until I realized this way more convenient Natomas one exists! There is ample free parking and it shares a space with the cutest sushi restaurant. Now I've been coming here almost every week because it's so easy to haha. Taro Milk Tea with Boba is always on point and will always be my number one favorite. 2nd favorite so far is the Caramalized Brown Sugar Boba. I got it with oat milk since dairy isn't my friend and it tasted just fine with it. RareTea hands down makes the best boba balls, the sweetness and chewiness are consistently perfect. What I think would compliment the boba drinks would be that I wish they sold egg puffs! They have a rewards program if you type your phone number in at the cashier. 1 point = $1 and at 50 points you get $5 off.

The first thing I notice about RareTea is that it's located in a nice new building with plenty of parking. The interior looks new, was spotless, and had plenty of seating. The staff offered me some suggestions and I decided on a brown sugar milk tea with boba. The flavor was new for me and I really enjoyed it. My drink had drizzles of liquid brown sugar running down the inside and smooth creamy consistency. It tasted like black tea, milk, and of course brown sugar. It was a great combo! The boba was on the chewy side but had a good flavor. There were some complimentary Halloween donuts for customers when I arrived. There was one decorated like a cauldron which was a nice treat. Overall, my visit was a good experience.

The Thai milk tea was great tasting. The boba had a good boba texture. The cups are nice; heavy duty!.. you can take them home and use them again. They were super fast. I ordered and had my drink in hand in less than 5 minutes. They share the space with a sushi restaurant. Must try next time, it smelled really appetizing!

The cherry pastry was a stunner and delicious as well with great flavor and a nice balance of sweetness. My husband wanted the Estelle Noisette and although it was good, it was my least favorite of the three. It had pleasant nutty flavors but it was a little too rich for me. In the end, the real standout was the Blueberry Choux. The cream was light and fluffy and it had just the right amount of blueberry flavor. I really liked the texture of the pastry too and how it complimented the fluffy cream. I would definitely order that one again and highly recommend it. The pastries are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and presentation justify the cost. The interior of the shop was nice and definitely reminded me of patisseries in France. There was plenty of seating available inside but I took my order to go. I'm really glad I finally got to give them a try and while not every item was a home run for me, the Blueberry Choux alone made the visit worthwhile.
