I was in the Natomas area and wanted to check out Tea 18. It used to be one of my favorite milk tea spots when they were open in Elk Grove, so I was excited to see this location. When I walked in, I was surprised by how similar it looked to the Elk Grove shop. It makes sense since it's a chain, but it still felt a bit nostalgic. I ordered a large black milk tea at 50% sweetness, no ice, topped off. I did notice they charge $0.50 to top off, which stood out, but it's understandable with prices going up. From the friendly service to the quality of the drink, I'd definitely recommend this spot. The milk tea here is some of the best I've had in NorCal and I've tried a lot of places. read more

Saturday evening my hubby and I were exhausted, so we decided to stop in and also wanted to treat our daughters! For our daughters we ordered the Strawberry Green Tea, water based, no caffeine, at 50% sweetness and 1 with Strawberry Popping Boba. They loved their drinks!! I didn't expect to find will such good milk tea here! I'm only here visiting and I always want to try local boba shops and not the chains. I wasn't expecting much but their milk tea was so good! I got an iced Classic Milk Tea (Black Tea) and the tea flavor was so nice and strong!!! The tea was BEAUTIFUL. I wish they would open one near me! My bf got a hot Okinawa Milk Tea and that one was great too! Some shops make an Okinawa milk tea like a brown sugar milk tea which aren't interchangeable to me. Brown sugar milk teas are a more deep caramelized taste that's sticky sweet. The Okinawa milk tea brown sugar tastes very light and clean which is exactly what it's supposed to taste like. What a cute little boba shop with refreshing drinks and delicious tea! The interior is small but clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient. There are no kiosks for you to order from, so you need to tell a staff member your order. I've only been here a few times, but the drinks are quite affordable (especially since I'm used to paying at least $8 these days for boba). Tea 18 is in the same lot as Yue Huang, and the parking spaces are a little tight. It's pretty much always busy but I've always been able to snag a spot decently quickly. The other day I ordered a Hokkaido MT w/ boba, and my drink was ready in less than 5 min. There was only a DoorDasher waiting for an order in front of me. I went with 50% sweetness and less ice, which is my favorite combo for milk tea. The boba was perfectly chewy and not overcooked or mushy. I haven't tried their blended drinks yet since their teas are my go-to, but would love to do so in the near future. I'd definitely recommend Tea 18 for your boba fix, especially since Natomas doesn't have many boba spots. read more

We came on a Sunday afternoon & were greeted upon entry. It was a nice day for a cool drink, but unfortunately when we walked in there wasn't much relief because it felt stuffy & warm inside. The smell of cooking boba was in the air. It's a small space with a large dining room style table, a high table with stools for 2, & a small bar with stools for 2. There are seats around the perimeter for waiting. From their popular drinks board, we ordered a Thai Tea & a Vietnamese Coffee, both with boba. We couldn't adjust the ice or sugar levels for the Vietnamese Coffee, & no sugar adjustment for the Thai Tea. The lady who took our order was apologetic about it. There were several orders ahead of us & only 2 ladies working, so it took a while to get our drinks. I saw the ice cream they served was Crystal Creamery. The Thai Tea was deliciously refreshing & not too sweet, which totally suited my personal preference. I love when it comes striated & I have to mix it up myself. The Vietnamese Coffee was SUPER BOLD with a deep, roasty coffee flavor. The boba was nicely cooked. The plastic cups are really sturdy. When in the area, we would be happy to stop by & grab a tasty sipper. read more

I have been going here forever. Why have I never written a review of this deserving place. This is the only boba shop that stays CONSISTENT no matter who is making my drinks. The owners are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. Their drinks are delicious. The texture of the boba is my favorite, soft but with the perfect amount of chew. Even though I live almost an hour away, I stop by often. If I'm driving past Natomas, I have to make a stop. I hope everyone frequents them and keeps them in business forever. My favorite drinks are the winter melon with lemon juice, red pomelo grapefruit twist, and Thai tea. I love that you can adjust sweetness and ice level. My son always gets their summer mix, and my husband always gets the Vietnamese coffee (it's strong, just like how it's supposed to be and not watered down or too much milk) I'd add pictures but I never make it that far lol maybe I'll take photos next time. read more

I was able to place my order with an employee at the counter and she was attentive and helpful. My sister was debating whether she should add boba to her ice cream black milk tea. She pondered aloud if it would change the overall taste and the employee nodded her head. The decision was made, and we ordered two ice cream black milk teas without any toppings. The standard black milk tea is a delicious base. Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream makes the taste richer and creamy. If you prefer a less sweet drink you are always able to modify the sugar level. There were a couple of tables inside. One round table that had two stools and a long rectangular table that should probably fit 6-8 people. It was quite a popular spot on Friday night but the employees were ready and prepared the drinks quickly. The parking lot was pretty full but we were able to find a spot, a little walking distance away. I think it must get busy during mealtime hours so keep that in mind. This location was just as good as the Elk Grove location that I frequently visit. I was also able to take advantage of 10% off when I checked-in via the Yelp app. It's always nice to be offered any kind of discount. read more

Came to Tea 18 since it's near the airport. Plenty of parking since it's in a plaza. Got a jasmine green milk tea with boba and no sugar. The boba is very chewy and cooked well with just a hint of sweetness without too much syrup. Milk and tea combo is refreshing and not heavy. Can't really taste the green tea though. For $5.75, it satisfies my boba cravings! There is a large table here but no wifi so not ideal for working. The oolong was super fragrant and paired with the peach it created an aromatic fragrance bomb. I could still remember the fresh, sweet and floral scent of the tea right now. Tea 18 is one of the local businesses on the app. I was able to reserve before it sold out, and pickup was easy. Show up during the window of time, confirm on the app. Service was prompt and pleasant, didn't linger since it was closing time, but they have some tables and chairs if you desire. The deal here was $18 value for $5.99 plus tax, where you could get leftover/unsold boba tea! Scored a regular sized iced oolong milk tea, oolong tea, and a passionfruit green tea! Great way to try new flavors as long as you don't have any food restrictions and don't mind the varying sweetness and ice levels. It is whatever they have that day though. I ordered their Summer Mix Fruit Tea where I got to choose up to 3 fruits, and opted for passionfruit and mango, and then added lychee bits. One of the things that stuck out to me was the price of their drinks. Some boba spots are getting so expensive now, and my drink here started at just $5. I was also surprised at how good it tasted. This spot is a strong 3.5/5 stars. I would come here again after eating dim sum because my area has worse milk tea. We ordered an avocado smoothie with signature foam and pudding, winter melon tea, oolong tea with cheese foam and jasmine green tea with cheese foam. The winter melon tea I got was a disappointment. I didn't think about why the sweetness couldn't be adjusted until I tried the drink. I assumed the winter melon was going to be fresh, but it consisted of syrup. I could taste the syrup particles in my drink too. Luckily, I got a regular size so nothing went to waste, but I would not order this drink again here. :( My boyfriend enjoyed his avocado smoothie, but he didn't like that they threw the whole avocado in there because he found the top stem part of the actual avocado while drinking his. But to me, an abundance of youth tells me this place has something worth getting, and I wasn't wrong. They might be using a strawberry syrup, but I like those better than chopped strawberry fruit teas with huge chunks of strawberry or really thick strawberry purées. The boba is nice and on the chewier side. I've had other drinks like the white peach oolong, oolong milk tea, oolong tea with cheese foam, and they were all good. I could taste the tea very well but it was smoother/lighter due to the honey being added. Boba was soft, sweet, and chewy as well. I got 75% sweet but could've gone for 50% since it was still pretty sweet. Lychee black tea - We could taste the lychee a lot more in the beginning but started tasting it less after a while..... turns out there was an actual tea bag in the drink! So the more the tea bag dissolved = the less lychee flavor. Not complaining though because the two flavor blended really well together regardless. read more
