Teaspoon Sacramento Boba Cafe is easily one of my favorite drink spots in Sacramento. The drinks here are consistently so good, and you can really taste the quality of the tea. Everything feels fresh, balanced, and not overly sweet. My personal favorite is the Creamy Jasmine--it's seriously amazing. The jasmine flavor comes through perfectly, and the creamy finish makes it so smooth and satisfying. It's one of those drinks I keep craving and always end up ordering again. Teaspoon's drinks are so delicious and refreshing! I stopped by around 9:00pm after getting some Korean BBQ and I was not disappointed! I came with some friends and when we entered, we were kindly greeted by the two staff members who were very helpful with our questions about the menu. I was already familiar with the menu as I first went during their grand opening! This time, I went with the Grasshopper which tasted great because of the cucumber juice they add. We didn't wait long for our drinks to come out, as it took about 6-8 minutes for our 4 drinks to be completed. The shop itself is small, but is clean and has a simple and organized layout. They provide games for people to hang around and play. Overall, Teaspoon is a great shop to get some drinks that most boba places don't offer. As far as boba tea goes in Sacramento, Teaspoon runs along the middle of the pack in just about every aspect. It's a cute little spot in Arden that serves decent boba tea for decent prices. The inside looks well maintained, but has very limited seating for both individuals and groups. The shop also closes at 11pm every day of the week which is pretty impressive for its relatively quiet location during the afterhours. I tried the Lychee Black Tea, which the online menu describes as one of the least sweet drinks they serve. The name feels misleading though; I tasted tea with barely any lychee flavor at all. Part of me wonders if they made the wrong drink since it looked like a oolong milk tea and I double checked the receipt. I still enjoyed it but it threw me off. Yes to coming back, but I'll try a different drink next time. read more

Me and my friend ordered ahead of time, so I was able to just walk in and grab the drinks, so was very fast. The Ladybug comes with passion fruit juice infused with green tea. I thought the drink was solid. The tea flavor wasn't too forward, which is just how I like it. The drink also comes with a ton of passion fruit seeds, so overall the drink was both tart and sweet. I was so excited to try Teaspoon when they opened their doors back in August of 2024. I've been here a few times and so far their drinks are mid at best. I really had high hopes, but with so many Boba Tea spots in Sacramento Teaspoon missed the mark for me. The Mango silky milk tea tasted off to me and so very unpleasant to drink and couldn't finish it all. The Thai tea is really good and the matcha strawberry centennial tea as decent. The staff is always friend and greet you with smiles when you walk in. The inside of the place do have very limited seating. They also sell desserts as well. I come to Teaspoon so often it's probably the majority of transactions on my bank statements. I get the silky strawberry (no boba! sorry) with oreos added and it's SO good. I wasn't even a big oat milk person before but theirs doesn't have an odd taste compared to other places that offer oat as an alternative. Every employee I've interacted with is a major sweetheart and if you're not very sociable, they have a kiosk you can order at and just go on about your day. The store is cute and small with the chairs being surprisingly comfortable. Especially if you intend to drink inside and chat with a friend for an hour. It's a small shop with two workers and a manager/owner when I visited. There is a self service kisok to place your order. While I was waiting, I was offered to try the Beta Launch for Vietnamese Coffee and take a quick survey. I thought the Dalgona (honeycomb toffee) Creme Brulee Coffee stand out the most. A bit sweet for me. I like the bold taste. I had the Lychee on Lychee, lychee black tea topped with Lychee Jelly. I know it's nothing fancy, but I like a good fruit tea with strong tea taste. This was very good. My son got the Matcha Royale Classic, Ceremonial matcha green tea infused with milk. The drink is as pretty as the appearance. I was excited to see a new boba place pop up in town and try out Teaspoon. They have a great menu, and there is something for everyone (they even have some coffee options). My main issue is the straws. I appreciate wanting to help the environment, but paper straws do not work for boba. Boba does require solid straws that can both break through the seal as well as hold up over the course of drinking the tea and pulling up the boba. The paper straws at Tablespoon made it very difficult to do this. It also left more of a papery taste so the actual taste of the drink was lessened. The straw was the only thing that made the experience less than stellar. If there is a way to make a sturdier, environmentally-friendly straw, that would be amazing and make me eager to return. read more

I really like this boba spot. I especially like their hot boba drinks which some boba places don't even offer. Their ube latte is yummy. The grasshopper and guava drinks are perfect for the spring and summer season. Last visit I tried the rooibos tea which was good. I think I still prefer the rooibos at Pearls, but I would order it again. I also got the hot coconut coffee which was good. It has pieces of coconut in it that I loved, but I know that texture isn't for everyone. Next time I will try the strawberry matcha and the hot milk tea. My coworkers and I are so happy that Teaspoon has finally opened their door! We have walked over during lunch/breaks several times now and have had good experiences each time. Their menu isn't super extensive, but they have a little bit of everything - milk teas, fruit teas and a few smoothies. I've had their lychee on lychee and their guava sunset. Both were really good and sweet. If you don't like your teas super sugary, I would recommend adjusting your sweetness. I really like that they offer samples from time to time. I'm usually on the fence about milk teas and I was able to sample one of theirs prior to ordering, which made my decision easier. Each time we have visited, the same girl was working behind the counter. There was one day, where she was slammed with atleast 10 orders and she was by herself. I felt so bad for her because she couldn't catch a break, but she kept a smile on her face and kept it pushing. Kudos to her! Teaspoon has the practically expected Boba atmosphere, (bright earth tones, anime characters on the walls, clean white floors and walls, etc). However, their saving grace is the presence of an automated ordering system. It's critical to note that you are NOT restricted to waiting in line if the automated podium is available. A cute spot in Loehmann's Plaza, it's on the southwest side of the plaza. I tried the Silky Mango, infused with milk and honey, with boba. It was pretty tasty, but I learned that I do not like the boba (chewy tapioca balls) and its texture. I can tell that someone who loves boba would absolutely love this drink though. They had a very large variety of drinks including Vietnamese coffee, of which was very good, and strong. The Guava Sunset with pineapple marmalade was very good, and very refreshing. It can be tart, but you can add whatever percentage of sweetness you want from adjusting the pineapple marmalade. Inside, there were a few tables to sit and enjoy your drinks, and the staff were very friendly. Their displays were very well organized, and there was a shelf of dessert items that looked really good. Came here for a tasting event but was also able to purchase from their menu. They have their official soft opening day on Saturday, August 17th and will run from 10AM-7PM From their tasting event, I got to try six of their drinks which include creamy jasmine, silky mango, matcha royale, thai tea, peach oolong, guava sunset. I've previously had the guava sunset before and had loved it. All of the drinks I really enjoyed cause it suited my taste being not too sweet. Aside from the drinks I also got to try bite sizes of three desserts, which include red velvet cake, Peruvian chocolate brownie, and marshmallow bar. The cake and brownie were my favourite out of the three. Afterwards I purchased the strawberry colada which was new to me and I loved it also!
