We came to RareTea because it is a relatively newer bobble tea establishment in the area, which could be refreshing to find given that Central Florida is filled with Asian restaurant and markets alike. I did not want to get the usual regular or taro milk tea etc so I asked for some well known recommendations at this place. Ended up ordering the Strawberry Matcha Latte with regular boba. The Leone what sour flavor of the strawberry mixed surprisingly well with the matcha, you could tell both parts were freshly made and mixed exceedingly with the also freshly made boba, which was soft, tender, and not too chewy to taste. We also ordered an Okinawa Milk tea, but we were low-key disappointed that it kinda tastes just like regular milk tea. Maybe the regular boba milk tea that we are used to is actually Okinawa milk tea. What must be mentioned is the classic old school Chinese themed decorations and set up etc. It does create an authentic feel that you may not find elsewhere. I don't recommend the mango passion fruit green tea because it has that bitter green tea taste and it's a pretty strong taste. The only thing I would recommend in that drink is to get the lychee jelly, the best part!! Haha the strawberry milk tea was really great though. My friends got other drinks and they loved it as well. I got less sugar for both (I believe 80%) and it wasn't enough sweetness but there wasn't really a strong tea flavor either. Glad I got to try this place the last time I was in Orlando. Fantastic new addition to the boba scene! It is definitely slightly pricier than some other places, think more like Möge Tea than say a KungFu Tea in terms of price. But they are aiming for that more premium tea experience and I think they nailed it. They have a wide variety of fruit teas, milk teas, and other specialty teas and drinks. When I went, I decided to try the Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea. I thought the drink was a great balance between the sweetness of the mango, the slight sour and tart flavor of passion fruit, and the slightly earthy bitter tones of green tea. It all really came together really well! I loved how I can still taste the tea flavor even with so many other flavors happening. Some places, all you taste is sugar and flavoring. But here, the tea itself also gets a chance to shine. I also loved the addition of fresh mango chunks to the bottom of the drink. It further enhances the flavor. Overall, loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the drinks! Just be sure to get here early or at an off time, the space is small and seating is limited so it can get pretty crowded relatively quickly. Will definitely be back in the future! :) read more

Whenever there is a new boba place in town I. AM. THERE. I was very excited when this shop opened up because my friend sent me a video they posted on Instagram and everything looked so epic. They really hyped up their grand opening and I was ready to go! When I finally got a chance to try them out I ended up going too early (oops) and ended up grabbing a light lunch before heading in. First of all, the staff is really nice and very welcoming. You can tell how proud the owner is of their business. I asked a good amount of questions before I ended up choosing their Rose boba tea. I was nervous if it would be overly floral but that didn't end up being the problem with the drink. The flavor was fine but I couldn't really enjoy it because the rose petals they put in the tea were overwhelming and throwing me off. I didn't want to eat them. I just wanted to spit them out. So... if texture is a big thing for you perhaps try something else? Luckily they did allow me to try a second drink and I liked that one much better. It was their Okinawa tea and the flavors were very smooth but honestly a tad bit too sweet so I would ask for lower sweetness next time. All in all I want to come back and maybe try something different again. I tend to always lean towards the classic black milk teas so I would love to venture towards something more unique without the texture issues.
