It offers a warm, whimsical vibe with soft lighting and interesting artwork decorating every corner. In the mornings, it's wonderfully quiet and calm, making it one of my favorite spots to get work done or simply enjoy a slow start to the day. The seating is a total dream--plush sofas, lounge chairs, and roomy tables that make you want to stay awhile. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, adding to the charm of the space. The location is great, conveniently tucked in MetroWest, and there's spacious parking, which is always a huge plus in Orlando. And the coffee? Truly impressive. Crème Brûlée Chai Latte - cozy, rich, indulgent Vanilla Latte - flavorful, a bit on the sweeter side Banana Bread Latte - subtle, comforting twist Cortadito - my absolute favorite Caramel Macchiato - warm and perfectly balanced, ideal for chilly weather Whether you're studying, lounging, or looking for a creative escape, Achilles Art Café checks all the boxes. Spacious, artsy, cozy, and delicious--MetroWest is lucky to have this spot. Definitely coming back again (and again).

I had no idea this was even a thing. Literally ran out to Super Target to get my girlfriend a…read moreMountain Dew for her Tik Tok video (don't ask) and was surprised to find all these tents set up in a blocked off section of Waterford Lakes Town Center. There were tons of beer, art, jewelry, and other unique vendors all over the place. As soon as I saw food though, I had no choice. I was going. First thing that drew my eye was a food truck called "Big Belly's". The guy who helped us was really cool. Seemed really proud of the food they serve there, as he should be. That chicken and rice was awesome. Had this great sweet pineapple sauce on it that I wish I could take home with me. Next stop was the Little Greek tent. I love Greek food and this place didn't disappoint. The Pita bread was insanely soft and tasty, and their Tzatziki just elevated all the meat on the dish. Appreciated the Baklava at the end as well. One of my favorite desserts. Slapfish is always a great seafood option. The dude who helped me was really great. Really passionate about the food they had and it's always nice to see when people actually believe in what their offering. In this case, it was shrimp and lobster (if I remember correctly) on a thick piece of bread, and it honestly rivaled any Lobster Roll I've ever had in my life. Really tasty. There were a bunch of places that we've been to before like Duffy's, Keke's, Sweet By Holly, Chick-Fil-A, Lucky's Market, Dunkin Donuts, Fresh Kitchen, and so on. We were obviously more excited about the places we haven't been to yet. One of those places was Bolay. They have bowls similar to Fresh Kitchen. The one we tried was a pesto chicken bowl, and it was really unique and delicious. Definitely have to look more into this place. My favorite dessert of the day has to go to Nothing Bundt Cakes. I've been told many times since I moved to Florida that this place was a must-try, and man were they right. These little Bundt cakes were so unbelievably moist and flavorful. I couldn't believe I hadn't tried one before. I had the double chocolate chip one and loved it. It was like a molten lava cake that didn't even need the molten chocolate center because it was just that good. Thank god they came to this event because now I will be wanting to try every other flavor they have. A Taste of Orlando was a really great surprise. Waterford Lakes was the perfect spot too, and I'm not just saying that because I live across the street. They did a great job of securing the streets and making pedestrians feel safe, even on a hectic Saturday. The ticket buying process is really fast and efficient, and I was happy to learn some of the money goes to supporting charities too. I appreciated all the coupons and gift cards we got from many of the vendors. It's a nice incentive to go and try out their brick and mortar stores. We only caught a bit of the music, but what we heard was great. Very happy we got to go and experience some of the great things Orlando has to offer.

I got to taste great food, hear great music, and connect with different businesses that I may have never even heard of or elect to try. We paid $15 online at Ticketmaster.com the day before the event (it's $20 upon entry for adult day of onsite.) We went on a double date with friends but it was kid friendly as they had performances, rock climbing wall, paint stations, and much more. My favorite booths were all the smoothie places. Jamba Juice, Planet Smoothie, and Tropical Smoothie were stiff competition. When you enter they give you tickets to drop off at each of your favorite booth. The booth with the most ticket wins. I was also able to sign up for a free class with orange theory and schedule a quote with Eric from Greenbuilt Home Solutions. My favorite food booth was TJs Seafood Shack because they had delicious grits and hush puppies. I also was impressed with Caribe Blu because their food was seasoned to perfection. I was disappointed in A few booths because I had higher expectations. Sweets by Holly had nothing and we arrived at 12pm, it was as if they only showed up with one rack of cupcakes. It was concerning. Jeremiah's had different flavors of Italian ice but they all tasted watered down. They did not represent well. I was interested in a cool booth called Lets Gogh Art that hosted paint parties for you. I look forward to checking out the new restaurants that caught my eye as well as checking in to the new businesses that impressed me. Overall I would say this event was a hit and I would be eager to try it again next year. It's worth the price.
