Flash Print has often surprised and delighted me-- going above and beyond my expectations and even…read moremy hopes. A few months ago, for example, I brought in a foam core poster board to ask IF they could cut some small amount off each side...the only shop that had told me they could definitely do the job was quite some distance away. The Flash Print tech on duty kindly said she believed she could do the work, since the poster was not too thick/dense-- and she did! Which saved me *hours* of traveling that day. Another time, I brought in a page or two to be copied-- and was not charged, even though another kindly staff person did all the work-- not me. And once, FlashPrint was the only copy center open when I needed some copies made. ...Also, each time I've gone in (even when Halloween was not in sight), there's been a bowl of bite-sized treats for customers to take one free: a sweet treat for completing some bothersome task, so I've felt happily *rewarded* for being productive, too, on leaving their shop...in fact, my tummy always leaps for joy, in anticipation, as I've headed down the stairs and seen the bowl of treats awaiting me. So Thanks again for EVERYTHING, Flash Print!

I've been printing brand assets for various clients for years, and I've never been disappointed with Harborside. So I had the brilliant idea of getting something done to it before totally disentegrating. Had to convince the men working there that he could make some punching holes and put on a spiral or something on it. He was in a bad mood and said he could not do it. I asked gently for the second time what I needed and felt like an idiont having to bed him to do it. He practically snatched the book from my hands and made the holes and put on the spiral. After all, he threw the thing on the counter and said: four dollars. I was so shocked that could not say a word, had to take the original staple out of the book all by myself using my hands. I felt completely stupid. I wished I had gone somewhere else. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

I re-formatted it to better fit the size I needed, at their request, then returned to pick it up the next business day only to discover a small coffee (?) drip stain on the corner of the paper. Rather than reprint, they decided to cut off that part of the paper without asking me, which threw off the proportions I requested. They *did* reprint it on the spot with extra copies for me, which was thoughtful, however one said, "This is a lot of godd*amn work for one print." Yes, it was a lot of work because it wasn't done correctly the first or second time and there was no attention to detail on a very simple job. I will never bring my company's business here again; if I can't trust their attention on something that simple, I can't fathom putting a more expensive or complicated job in their hands. They were able to print it quickly and on the spot, but that's about the only positive takeaway I have from this experience. Yes, everybody has a bad day, but you should never swear in front of a customer and especially not when the work being done is subpar.
